Fabulous lodge, would have loved an outside sun lounger as the weather was fantastic!

Another nice break, helpful staff and excellent food.

Lodge is lovely.Everything you could possibly need in kitchen.Lounge area is dark but would be super cosy in winter with the log burner.Beds are huge and comfy, shower is good.Decking area is fab sat out here a lot. Great hot tub.Everything was perfect. Internet reception not great , but personally didn't bother me. Really enjoyed the peace and quiet.

We have had some experiences with cabins/lodges being on top of each other with no privacy on other holidays however this location is perfectly private and well thought out. The Lodge had everything we could have needed for our 3 day break and the hot tub was cleaned daily by lovely staff. Bonus for my husband was that they had Wrexham on tap at the restaurant with lovely outdoor seating. We were able to walk the canal with the dog from the lodge which was perfect. The shower water pressure could be stronger and the oven was slow to reach temperature however these were minor in a beautiful setting.

We had a lovely stay here. The place is beautifully decorated and really has everything you could need. The fire was a cosy touch, even in the summer! We enjoyed the BBQ too, which was a nice addition this time around. It’s worth mentioning there are some mosquitoes because of the pond nearby, so bring insect spray. The site itself is really pretty, perfect for a walk. The restaurant is decent but the menu’s quite limited and it’s shut on Sundays. Would be great if they offered more evening meals on Fridays and Saturdays. We’ve visited twice now and definitely plan to return!

We honestly couldn't find a single fault with the place. Everything was spotless and very well looked after. They really did think of everything, from comfy beds and loads of pillows to a powerful shower. The soft towels, robes, slippers and hot tub extras made it all feel extra special. Loved it!

We had such a lovely stay! The owners were genuinely warm and thoughtful, making us feel at home straight away. The cottage itself is adorable-beautifully maintained, super cosy with a lovely kitchen and a comfy bed. The shower was powerful, which was a nice surprise. Parking right next to the cottage was so handy and everything was spotlessly clean. Plus, we enjoyed some great walks through the fields to Thaxted-perfect for a relaxing getaway.

We stayed at this place during a rainy December and it was perfect - super cosy and warm. The house is really well equipped and the bath was just lovely, plus a big shower for good measure. Being on a flight path didn’t bother us at all, so don’t let that put you off. Also great for dogs that hate fireworks since it’s in the middle of nowhere. Thanks a lot!

As detailed before, the lodge us equipped with everything you need and more. From the fluffy towels, bathrobes and elemis toiletries to everything you need in the kitchen to prepare a meal! Logs are ready to be lit and the hot tub gets serviced every day. I think these week long breaks are incredible good value for money. We have paid more for caravan holidays in large commercialised holiday parks and have not been no where near as good!

The lodge was super comfy and had some lovely touches, like a welcome pack.

We had such a great time at Cabin Cwtch! The deck was perfect for relaxing and the hot tub was a real highlight-we used it every single night. Plenty of space for just the two of us, making it super comfy. Honestly, if you're planning a couples getaway, this place is a steal!

We just got back from a lovely week at Goddards Mead. The cottage was super well kitted out with everything we could possibly need. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming. Despite being on a working farm, it felt like a peaceful escape. Loved it!

We really enjoyed our stay at Goddard Mead! The cottage had everything we needed and the walks right from the door were perfect. The warm welcome made it even more special. Truly lovely hosts too!

We loved our stay at these lodges! The privacy is fantastic, thanks to the trees and bushes around each one. Everything you might need is provided, from utensils to towels and robes for the hot tub-really well thought out. But honestly, you shouldn't miss the Henlle Heights experience; it’s definitely the highlight of the trip. We’ll be back!

The lodges are exceptional, there is nothing that you will need, wide range of utensils if you choose to cook, but think you should try the Henlle Heights experience, not to be missed.Towels, robes for hot tub are all included.Each lodge is surrounded by trees and lovely bushes which makes them private.A lot of time and thought has gone into this place.

As mentioned before sofa and chairs are in desperate need of replacing

We had a really lovely time in the pod. It’s super cosy without feeling cramped, which was great. The only small issues were the temperature swings - it was either roasting hot or a bit chilly, which was a bit annoying. The oven took a little getting used to too. Still, we’re definitely coming back, maybe in a lodge next time so we can enjoy a log burner. Already recommended it to friends and they’ve booked for next year!

The cottage was perfect for our peaceful getaway, though the occasional night-time plane noise from Stanstead was noticeable. The hot tub was definitely a highlight! Lovely stay overall.

Woodpecker is a beautiful Lodge with everything you need to feel at home

We had a really lovely stay at the lodge and it was perfect for unwinding. The location was stunning, with views over the golf course that made it feel so peaceful. The lodge itself was well-equipped and felt private, which we loved. We stayed in Autumn Rhapsody and the only tiny thing was an odd musty smell upon entering, probably because it’s pet friendly. Still, overall, a fantastic place!

We loved the peaceful vibe and spotless surroundings. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. The hot tub was a real treat, perfect for relaxing evenings. Pets loved the secure garden too!

From the moment we arrived the customer service was brilliant The receptionist went above and beyond nothing was too much for her Dev was a delight always cheery and helpful The waitress was also very cheery and helpful A wonderful team that helped make our stay wonderful The accommodation was clean and stunning well equipped and comfortable Loved the deer and ducks We can’t wait to come back :))

Lovely place to retreat to. Welcome gifts nice but could do with pods of milk for that first cuppa on arrival before you unpack.

Absolutely stunning place. Me my husband and 2 daughters had the best time the grounds are beautiful the lodges and cabins are stunning too. The staff really made us feel welcome and included our girls they loved going to the restaurant for dinner ice cream and drinks. Really lovely place to sit in the evening. Of course the sun helped but we felt like we was abroad it had that kind of feel about it. The only thing I can think that is needed is maybe a little a shop on site just for the basics but Tesco is only a 10 minute drive away so it’s not to bad. Overall 1 of the best log cabin holidays we have done by far. Thank you to all the staff.

The most beautiful setting, a gorgeous clean and cool lodge on the hottest day of the year. Couldn’t have asked for more. Would wholeheartedly recommend. Lovely unobtrusive staff staff who just left us to relax and recharge.

We had a wonderful time at Henley Hall, the lodge/pod was just so good and with temperatures of 37c we made great use of the Hot tub in the hot afternoons. The staff are so accommodating too, it was my wife’s birthday during our stay and they were so attentive during our evening meal, and the birthday cake wasn’t bad either….would defiantly return, and probably will later in the e year fir my birthday…

Our stay in White Lilac After just returning from a 4 night stay in the White Lilac lodge I have to say I was completely bowled over by the professionalism of Henlle Hall, firstly the staff, from Paul who maintains the hot tubs, his friendly professional manner and helpful knowledge of the area to Allan, Amber and the bar/restaurant staff who were always happy to help and tentative. The lodge on arrival looked stunning from the outside, the real wow factor and inside certainly didn’t disappoint, we have stayed in many lodges but this was by far the best. The estate is well thought out, felt away from it all in such beautiful surroundings. Cannot wait to return.

Great place to stay, especially for a quiet/ relaxing break. We enjoyed the hot tub & BBQ to the max and went for some lovely walks in the area. The restaurant was great, lovely decor, food & drink. The whole site is beautifully maintained

Went on a weekend away with the girls for a quiet weekend of hot tub, games and drink. The most gorgeous lodges I have stayed in. Perfectly clean and 2 en-suite rooms with comfy beds. All lodges are so private and not over looked which I loved. Perfect location and only £9 for a taxi into the town and they came direct to the lodge. Will definitely be returning!
