had a family break at this park and have to say after reading alot of negative things would share my experience, we stayed in a comfort chalet and was surprised how nice it was inside, i had a llok on site and came across the value/economy chalets, which were not very nice inside, but if you pay for cheap accomodation you cant expect the ritz, the staff were really nice too, loved the indoor pools and soft play area for young children, overall it was a nice break,

Nice and clean, very well equipped, safe for children, beach on doorstep via private gate, finish off with a dip in the pool. Perfect.

Great place overall, but beware no WiFi and weak phone signal. Make sure to bring some books if you’re not into the limited Freeview channels!

We had a lovely stay overall. When we first arrived, we noticed the twin beds were a bit broken and the bedside lamp wasn’t working. But the staff sorted everything out super quickly after we called reception. Really impressed with their help!

Really affordable place, so I’d definitely return. Just a heads up, the hot tub takes a while to warm up, so plan accordingly!

We had a lovely stay overall. The lounge bathroom and bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The outdoor sitting area was a real highlight, perfect for relaxing. The hot tub was a bit cool at first, but it warmed up after a while. The kitchen design could be better, though.

We had a pretty relaxing stay at this park and honestly, the location is spot on for a peaceful escape. The accommodation was top-notch, especially loved the hot tub and the privacy it offered - perfect for unwinding. However, getting to the lodge was a bit of a pain since there’s no direct path from the car park, so lugging bags up steps and along uneven paths was a bit of a chore, especially with heavy cases. Nighttime was a bit frustrating too; the site is poorly lit and for most of our stay, there were no lights at all, which made navigating the steps tricky - daytime visibility is fine, but at night it’s a different story. The lodges themselves were spotless, though we did notice some dust under the beds in both rooms, which was a bit off-putting. On the plus side, the staff were really friendly and helpful. Overall, it’s a lovely spot for a quiet getaway, just a few tweaks needed for better convenience during night and luggage handling.

We recently stayed at a lovely spot in Colwell Bay, Freshwater on the Isle of Wight and honestly, it was fantastic. The cottages are beautifully kept and really comfortable, with plenty of space to hang clothes and relax. The bedrooms are huge and the beds are super comfy-perfect after a day exploring. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to cook proper meals and having a dishwasher and washing machine was a real bonus. The lounge and dining area felt very roomy, with a big TV, DVD and a nice table for meals. Outside, we enjoyed sitting on the patio during the day and evening, especially by the hot tub, which was a nice touch. The site was spotless and peaceful and everyone we met was really friendly and helpful. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer, but we’ll definitely be back-next time bringing the dog too, as there are loads of places she can visit!

We really enjoyed our stay at the beach house, even with the tricky weather. The place was lovely and perfect for relaxing. Only downside was the porthole window in the bedroom which made it tough to settle the little one. Still, a great trip overall!

So location was lovely … cottage was clean and tidy but sofa beds were really uncomfortable and not very nice. The hot tub was good, not the best one we’ve had but did the job … intially all the water splashed out as we all got in and because it was put in uneven it all sloshed out one side! But overall ut was clean and fairly tidy. Would stay there again as loved the pool and the beach was near!
Nicola
Fantastic accommodation and location.
Only downside no wifi in accommodation.
Jackie
The Bay Colwell was a lovely cottage that we stayed in and had everything we needed. The cottage was clean.
Anna
Lovely site, well laid out cottage and just a short walk to Colwell Bay's beach.
We chose a cottage with a hot tub but as there were so many beaches near by that were safe to swim in we didn't really have much time to use it.
Would definitely book there again.
Sarah
Had an amazing week at The Bay, Colwell.
Perfect location, and so easy to get around the island.
So much to see and do.
Only couple if negatives, no WiFi in cottages, double bed could do with a new mattress as a bit lumpy but nothing that spoilt our holiday.
Will definitely return in 2023
Lucy
Lovely place, close to sea and some good resturants. Dog friendly resort and the little pack left for our dog was a nice touch too
