We stayed at the lodge recently and really enjoyed some aspects, like the comfy bedrooms and the beds, which are just fantastic. However, the bathroom situation was a bit disappointing-both showers had mould and the baths were tiny. The general wear and tear is noticeable, with marked ceilings and furniture looking quite worn. We love coming here, but if things keep declining, we might have to rethink visiting. It’s a shame because it has so much potential!

The lodge was really lovely-super modern and spacious, definitely somewhere we’d stay again. Just a couple of cushions on the sofa would’ve made it feel more cosy and a bit more kitchen gear wouldn’t hurt. Still, great stay!

The hot tub was definitely a highlight, perfect after a long day. Still, the place could do with some proper TLC to make it really special.

We had a lovely time overall. The staff in the bar and restaurant were really friendly and made us feel welcome. The golf course was perfect-wide open and enjoyable. The lodge was spacious enough for our group of eight, but it did need some proper cleaning and repairs. It’s a shame because the place had potential.

The place was really roomy and cosy, which we loved. The kitchen tap had a slight leak and the cutlery and glasses weren’t spotless after washing. Still, overall, it was quite nice and relaxing.

We absolutely loved our stay! The lodges are spacious and beautifully set in such a peaceful spot. Everything inside feels high quality, from the comfy bedding to the well-kept towels. The staff are genuinely friendly and always willing to help. The hot tub’s checked daily, so it’s always ready. We’ve been three times and are already planning our next trip!

We stayed here a few years back and loved it, so naturally we recommended it to friends. Sadly, our recent visit didn’t quite live up to those memories. The lodge looked a bit tired - ripped wallpaper, damaged blinds and a TV that simply wouldn’t turn on. The TV unit had a chunk missing from the corner, which was a bit disappointing. The downstairs toilet was quite temperamental too - it kept running water through the night, which was pretty annoying. Heating was another issue; it felt like a sauna even with the controls turned down, so we had to keep the windows open in freezing weather. The patio doors were tricky to close properly, requiring some effort. Interestingly, this wasn’t even the original lodge we booked because the boiler was broken, so they swapped us into this one. Overall, a bit of a let-down compared to what we remembered.

We stayed here in the middle of January with our dog, myself and my partner and honestly, we were utterly impressed when we arrived. The lodge was massive - way bigger than we expected, especially for the price, which was pretty reasonable for this time of year. It didn’t seem too crowded either; there were only a few other lodges occupied and it felt like they intentionally spaced them out for privacy, which was a bonus. The place was spotless and had everything we needed, plus the views over the golf course were absolutely stunning. The surrounding area isn’t fully enclosed for dogs, but that’s not a big deal since dogs should be on a lead anyway. Our lodge was at the start of the nature trail, a lovely circular walk around the golf course that connects to a public footpath leading to Pocklington - perfect for a peaceful stroll. We made good use of the hot tub every day and it was checked regularly by the staff, which was reassuring. The gym was well-stocked with all the equipment we needed, so we didn’t feel the need to visit the spa since we had the hot tub. There are loads of walks nearby that don’t require driving and we explored quite a bit on foot. The Buddhist meditation centre is worth a visit too - the gardens and lake are simply beautiful. The only minor issue was the WiFi signal, which was a bit weak at times (they do mention this in the arrival info), so our fire stick sometimes buffered while streaming. But honestly, that was a tiny flaw in an otherwise fantastic stay. We tend to do a lodge holiday at least once a year and can genuinely say this is the best place we’ve been to so far. Thanks for a truly memorable trip - we’ll be back!

We had a fantastic stay at the lodge! The staff were genuinely friendly and the place was spotless. Loved that the clubhouse was dog-friendly too. Everything was well-maintained and looked after nicely. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed the lodges and the overall vibe of the resort. The gym was a bonus and well-equipped, which was handy. Since it’s a golf resort, you do get quite a bit of golf nearby, so privacy in the hot tub isn’t always guaranteed, but still a lovely place!

The house was just perfect for a family getaway. It’s beautifully decorated, spotless and in a great spot. The kids and grandkids had an amazing time, we’d definitely come back!

Lovely place to stay, the lodges are perfect and clean we had our own parking places which made unpacking easier. The hot tub was lovely and we had plenty of privacy! The beds were very hard but I’m used to memory foam so anything else would be. The restaurant was nice and sat outside looking at the view of the golf course was stunning. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely accommodation- very clean, modern and well equipped. A nice holiday park with some facilities on site but also close enough to towns to spend days away.

Fabulous break with friends. Staff friendly and attentive, accommodation lovely and clean (could just do with soap and a hand towel in each bathroom) views were amazing, facial was fantastic and afternoon tea was delicious!!

We stayed at this resort Monday to Friday. It was a fantastic and beautiful resort and we will definitely be back. Staff were lovely and friendly. We had a warm welcoming and Ken who was the on-site security popped around the site each evening checking everything was okay. He was very kind and helpful. The only downsides were not being able to use the hot tub after 11pm and not having an enclosed area for dogs meaning they were constantly on long lines. Over all, definitely recommend this resort.

We had a wonderful weekend with family for a wedding which was just great. Staff helpful and friendly. We were aware that the lodge is to be refurbished. It is expensive though.

Excellent resort and loved our stay. Only downside was restaurant, which was hard to get into and when we finally did the food was poor. However, overall experience was fabulous and we will definitely go back
