Honestly, it was really disappointing. The place was filthy, Wi-Fi didn’t work and there were vapes and stuff lying around for our twins to find. Disgusting!

Really enjoyed our stay, the bed was super comfy and the lodge was spotless. We did notice there was no iron, but we just chatted with the host about it-no worries! All in all, a lovely little getaway, would definitely come back again.

We really enjoyed our time in lodge number 1. It’s quite spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchen had all the essentials-fridge, freezer, washing machine, you name it. A couple of issues, like the waterfall shower head wobbling and the hose being loose, but otherwise everything was spot on. Definitely recommend and would come back!

We stayed at this lodge recently and honestly, it was a bit of a mixed bag. The furniture inside was decent enough, though the beds were super soft - not everyone’s cup of tea! The TVs were quite outdated and none of them were SMART, which was a bit disappointing. We expected a welcome pack, but there was nothing - no ice in the freezer, no tea towels or oven gloves, so we had to ask for those. No hairdryer either and when we requested one, it never arrived. The outdoor area was pretty poor - the table was filthy and no cushions for the seats, plus it was in a shaded spot that never saw the sun. The hot tub wasn’t scenic either, overlooking parking and driveways. Also, one of the lamps in the living room was broken and no lamp in the second bedroom. Honestly, for something billed as a luxury lodge, it fell quite short.

We recently stayed at this lovely place and overall, it was just what we needed. The view from the cabin was stunning and the hot tub was definitely a highlight! That said, there were a few small issues that stopped us from giving a perfect score. The advertised luxury toiletries were nowhere to be found, which was a bit disappointing. Also, the Wi-Fi claim was a bit misleading since there was none available. When we opened the dishwasher, the wooden panel kept falling off, which was a bit annoying. The freezer drawers were pretty stiff, probably because it needs a good defrost and we noticed some dirt on the dressing gowns. The bedding stitching was coming apart, with holes in it, so that could do with some attention. We also spotted some tools outside the cabin, including a jigsaw blade, which we thought should’ve been removed. Still, we enjoyed our stay overall!

Honestly, we had such a lovely stay! The view from the hot tub overlooking the donkeys and alpacas was just perfect for unwinding. The location is truly picturesque and the accommodation is really top-notch. Little touches like the toiletries in the spotlessly clean bathroom, plus the complimentary wine, made it feel extra special. The kitchen and lodge facilities exceeded our expectations, making our stay even more enjoyable. We had to leave a day early, but Maureen was incredibly helpful-she came straight over when we texted last minute to sort out our deposit and check we’d had a good time. We’d definitely recommend this place!

We had such a fantastic time! Stayed for four nights and honestly, we wish we’d booked longer. First time in a lodge and it definitely won’t be the last; we’re already thinking about more UK lodge breaks. The staff were lovely, the lodge was spotless and the location was just stunning. Sitting in the hot tub at night, enjoying the wildlife, was a real highlight. Can't recommend it enough!

We really enjoyed our stay overall, the lodge was lovely and the setting was perfect. However, we did notice some cleanliness issues like hairs in the shower and dust in the corners of the living room. Still, it didn’t ruin our trip!

We stayed in Lodge No 4 which was immaculate, clean and very well laid out. Housekeeping met us on arrival and went through the property to ensure we were happy with everything. Hot tub was amazing. All in all a very relaxing retreat away from it all. Would definitely return.

A lovely lodge. Lovely and private and lovely hot tub but I'm not sure it got cleaned during the stay. Very quiet and friendly people around. Idyllic surrounds nice grounds / lakes /animals. The lodge itself was so lovely. Lovely furnishing spacious and modern. Robes which was an added bonus. Clean and everything you would need in the lodge itself. The TV sometimes lost signal but we normally find that happens anywhere we stay. Overall a lovely break and would stay again. Less than an hour away from Manchester and other nice places to visit.

Amazing lodges with a friendly greeting. Lovely place for them to be situated. Only a few mins drive from supermarkets and a lovely town. We had the most peaceful weekend we have ever had there! All round worth the money. The only down side was we was told we would still be able to use the hot tub on the Monday as paid extra to check out late (1pm) and we couldn’t as it was emptied and filled with water above temp for people to use it. Saying that I addressed that and was promised if we returned we would be looked after and this wouldn’t happen again. We will definitely be returning in the future :)

we stayed at the ladera house 14-18th March and we just wanted to say how amazing our break was. The house is absolutely gorgeous and it was equipped with everything we needed ? we had a big age differed youngest 11 months - oldest 75 but every person was so pleased it’s so idyllic. Also all the ground staff where Amazing and even the residents were really friendly. Thankyou again hopefully we will be back soon ? xx
