From the moment we arrived, Caroline welcomed us warmly and gave a quick tour. The cottage was super cosy with underfloor heating and we loved having slippers and robes - so handy for the hot tub! It was already heated and waiting for us, which was just what we needed after a long trip. Larkshayes really feels like a little slice of heaven.

Honestly, everything was spot on. We had a great stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. The only thing that could improve is clearer directions-maybe a map or grid reference instead of just written instructions. Still, highly recommended!

From the moment we arrived and were welcomed by Caroline, we knew we were in for a good stay. We stayed in Otter Cottage and honestly, it was spotlessly clean and felt really cosy. The owners have thought of pretty much everything - the kitchen was fully equipped, with a dishwasher and washing machine that proved to be super handy. We even found a bottle of prosecco chilling in the fridge, which was a lovely touch! The cottage also has two smart TVs with access to Netflix and other streaming services, which came in very handy since the weather was quite rainy most of the time. We loved relaxing in the hot tub - it’s much bigger than others we’ve been in before, so plenty of room for everyone. If I had to pick a tiny gripe, it would be that an ironing board would’ve been useful, but the welcome book mentioned you can request one, so no big deal. The location was a bit remote - in the middle of nowhere, really. On one hand, that’s quite peaceful, but it did mean it took a while to get anywhere, especially since most roads are country lanes and quite narrow. Definitely need a sat nav to avoid getting lost! We spent some time at the nearby beaches, mostly pebble ones, which were lovely. Exeter was about 30-40 minutes away and made for a nice day trip. Now, I’ve got to mention something that wasn’t the owners’ fault at all - we encountered an absolute plague of crane flies, or daddy long legs, during our stay. It honestly felt like a biblical plague! We’re pretty sure it had to do with breeding season and taking into account that we were on a working farm, there wasn’t much we could do about it. We couldn’t keep the windows or doors open much, which made the inside quite stuffy. They also seemed to be attracted to the hot tub when we were using it, which was a bit annoying. But again, this isn’t a reflection on the owners or the cottage - just a natural hiccup. Overall, we had a lovely break and really enjoyed our time away. Would definitely recommend!

We absolutely adored Otter Cottage! The peaceful surroundings with just cattle and sheep nearby made the hot tub under the stars even more special. It’s the perfect escape for us and we’ve already booked for next year because we just can’t get enough of the place.

We first stayed at Yarty cottage 4 years ago and have just returned from our second stay. We were happy to find it just as we remembered. We had a lovely stay once again, peaceful and relaxing with outstanding views, but sadly the week flew by rather too quickly. I’m sure we will be planning another stay in the future.

The cottage has a lovely outside view of the rolling black hills.. it is so peaceful and relaxing.. The patio has a lovely wrought iron table and chairs with cushions and an umbrella.. The hot tub is fabulous and very clean and comfortable

Loved our stay in Corry Brook Cottage. Beautiful, clean and throughly stocked cottage. Loved having a full kitchen, wifi and a hot tub. Location was very quiet and calm. Just an easy 20-30 minute drive to beautiful locations like Lyme Regis. The owners were extremely helpful and kind!

What a wonderful place to stay. Everything was clean and comfortable. Large hot tub was amazing. Quiet location, beautiful scenery. Lots of places to visit nearby. Owner informative and friendly. If your looking for abit of luxury away from it all I would definitely give this place a try!

Just arrived back after a fantastic stay in Otter Cottage. Peter and Caroline, the owners, were very welcoming and introduced us to the place and told us everything we needed to know. In the lodge there was an information book which told us everything we needed to know about the local area. The accommodation was perfect, it was clean, comfy and cosy. The Hot tub was a treat and the views were lovely, it was really quiet and peaceful. Overall a fantastic stay and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Would highly recommend staying here and would return.

Weekend away with Mum & two sisters can’t recommend this accommodation enough 2nd stay & did not disappoint. You won’t be disappointed.

Situated in a great location as there is so much to do locally and further a field. Amazing views at the site make it for the most perfect spot.
