We had an absolutely lovely stay at this cosy little cottage. It really has everything you could possibly need, so there’s no need to pack much. We ended up overloading the car because we didn’t realise how well equipped it was! The welcome pack was so handy, full of useful info and menus. The owners, Sharon and Rob, are super quick to respond if you have any questions. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was just perfect for unwinding. Thanks for a great break!

We stayed at Goddard's Mead recently and it was lovely. Rob and Sharon have done a fantastic job transforming this historic building with so much care. They couldn’t have been more welcoming and Bonnie was adorable too. The place has everything you need for a chilled-out stay. The location is perfect for exploring Essex, especially Thaxted and the surrounding villages. Definitely worth taking a stroll around and soaking in the history and charming sights.

The owners were super friendly and always available if we needed anything, but they respected our privacy completely. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day of cycling, really relaxing. Just a heads up, the cottage is right under Stansted's flight path, so there's quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didn't bother us much after a while, but if you're sensitive to noise, keep that in mind. Overall, a great find!

We just got back from a really nice four-night stay at this cottage. The owners are super friendly and helpful, but they’re not in your face at all, which we appreciated. The big fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around freely. The place is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Just had a 5 day break here, which was very clean, spacious and comfortable. We had no pets but a 3.5 year old, who settled really quickly and loved her room. The staff were so helpful, especially Sarah, who my daughter is still asking to see again. We wanted a quiet break, so no phone signal was perfect, good (secure) wifi if required and the Dabbling Duck was a god send after a full day The cabin was fully stocked with everything you need and was extremely clean, with loads of storage space. We will be back Paul

Probably one of the best accommodations I have ever stayed in. The lodge was so beautiful - every little thing was catered for - even down to a torch for those late night walks to the great bar and restaurant. We stayed in a Brook View lodge - not so much a view as a sound - but very relaxing and secluded. The hot tub was amazing - and fluffy robes were provided too. I could have easily stayed for a month!

Excellent location with a gorgeous lodge which was clean and spacious only thing missing was a TV in the bedroom and hooks on the back of doors (could use the sticky hooks)

Very relaxing and great setting, bar, and staff. The only downside for us was the late check-in and early check-out times, as this effectively cuts an entire day off the holiday. We appreciate that the hot tub etc. requires maintenance, but a more typical 3pm check-in and 10/11am check-out would be much more convenient.

The lodges are set in beautiful surroundings and the lodges themselves are modern with everything you’d need to make you feel right at home. Me and my wife will be definitely coming back

Beautiful setting, very peaceful. Lodge was comfortable and well stocked kitchen, lots of crockery and backing trays bit like being at home. Only thing is you need to drive as 25 minutes away from Honiton and 30 minutes to Sidmouth
