Lovely lodge. Perfect for a U.K. break

Needed a bit of thought around what could use in microwave as no plastic to use. No jug and only 4 of each knife fork and spoon meant washing up as only provided 4 dishwasher tablets for a week away. Did enjoy the hot tub but only allowed to use before 10pm meant not able to use beneath the stars. Overall the location is excellent but could use a little more luxury.

Daniel is a non verbal man with autism he really loved his stay in the lodge you all made hom feel very welcome.

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy spot tucked away in a peaceful, private area. The owners were super friendly and always happy to help if needed, but kept a good distance to preserve the tranquillity. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day cycling around. Just a heads up, the cottage is right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us much once we got used to it, but if you're sensitive to noise, its worth keeping in mind. Overall, a great little getaway!

We recently stayed at Goddards Mead for a week and honestly, it was lovely. The cottage had everything we needed and felt really cosy. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. Despite being on a working farm, it was surprisingly peaceful and quiet. Definitely recommend!

We needed a quick escape with the dog and it was just what we hoped for. Lovely countryside, easy access to pubs and eateries nearby and plenty of off-road walks. The dog didnt want to leave either!

We just got back from a four-night stay at this lovely cottage and honestly, we had a great time. The owners are really friendly and not at all intrusive, just there when you need them. The big fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around freely. The place was fully equipped - everything we needed was there. We even enjoyed using the BBQ one evening. We had a really lovely time during our stay! Sharon and Robert made us feel super welcome from the start. The place was spotlessly clean, comfy and perfect for our dog Archie - felt very secure. The location was just right, with loads of nice walks nearby and Thaxted and the surrounding villages are absolutely charming. We definitely left feeling refreshed and relaxed, it was just what we needed!

The welcome pack was a nice touch, providing all the info and menus we needed-really thoughtful. The owners, Sharon and Rob, were quick to answer any questions, which was helpful. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was just the cherry on top. Overall, a lovely place for a relaxing break. Wed come back for sure!

We had such a lovely weekend stay here! Everything was just right for us and we really enjoyed our time. The underfloor heating was a hit with our dogs - they loved the garden and had so much fun. Luna came home with a strained tail from all the wagging, but it just shows how much fun they had! Well definitely be coming back.
