Fabulous holiday,everything you needed was in the lodge.Very clean.Wonderfull views across the loch.Very quiet and peaceful.Could not find and faults.We had a Ben Lomond Lodge.

We had a fantastic week here from 15th to 22nd July with our two mini dachshunds, who loved every minute and made lots of friends in Thaxted. The cottage itself is charming - particularly the hot tub, which was a real treat, especially during the scorching weather; the cool water was so refreshing! The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, it was nice to see them taking their dogs to the fields every day. Being close to Stansted’s flight path was actually quite entertaining-watching the planes land was pretty cool. We’d definitely stay again!

We had such a lovely weekend here! The place was just what we needed and we’ll be returning for sure. Our dogs had a blast, especially with the underfloor heating-Luna couldn’t stop wagging her tail! She even strained it, but it’s all good now. Great spot, super happy pups and us too. Definitely recommend!

We had a fantastic stay! The lodge was really spacious and well kitted out. The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout. The location was absolutely stunning, even in the rain-definitely hope to return. Only a minor thing, but more plates and mugs would’ve been handy!

We just got back from a week at Goddards Mead and honestly, it was lovely. The cottage has everything you might need and the hosts are super friendly. Even on a busy farm, it felt peaceful and relaxing-really a good place!

We had a lovely stay! The owners were genuinely kind and made us feel really welcome. The cottage itself is charming, with that traditional half-timbered look and a cosy vibe. The shower was powerful and the bed super comfy - we slept so well. Parking right outside was a real bonus. Plus, it’s spotlessly clean and warm. We enjoyed walking through the fields to Thaxted, which is a beautiful little village with plenty of character. Definitely recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay at Goddard's Mead. Rob and Sharon put so much effort into restoring the historic building and it shows. They welcomed us warmly, along with Bonnie, which made us feel right at home. The location is perfect for exploring Essex - definitely take some time to wander around Thaxted and the surrounding villages, there's so much history and lovely architecture to see. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

We had an amazing stay! The cottage was cosy and in a perfect spot - super peaceful and relaxing. The surrounding farm scenery was stunning, especially the horses. The owners were lovely and really attentive, making sure we had everything. Definitely a spot we'd recommend for a quiet getaway!

We needed a peaceful escape for the dog and this place delivered. The accommodation was top-notch, with lovely pubs and eateries just a short stroll. Plenty of fields and trails made it ideal for off-road adventures. We didn’t want to leave!

We decided to cook all our own meals here and the kitchen really did not disappoint - it’s kitted out with everything we needed, including a massive fridge-freezer. Felt just like being at home, with plenty of cookware and Pyrex bowls. The big dining table was perfect for long, relaxed meals while gazing at Loch Lomond. Watching the boats drift by and the view constantly changing was just superb!

We really enjoyed our stay at the waterfront lodge. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. The decking overlooking the loch was perfect for relaxing and it felt private enough to unwind without interruptions. Definitely a lovely spot to escape to!

We just got back from a four-night stay at this charming cottage and honestly, it was lovely. The owners were really friendly but didn’t hover, which was perfect. The big fenced garden was great for our dog to run around freely. The place had everything we needed and the hot tub was a real bonus! We even enjoyed a BBQ one evening. Had an amazing 7 days. Lodge was well equipped and spotless. The view was amazing. Wish the dog walk was available to access. Hopefully this will be sorted for when we come back.

A lovely location for a relaxing break. Alternatively, a good base for touring and water sports.

Staff were amazing. Lodge spotless. I think you would make a killing if you had a little bar or a takeaway. More hire things to make use of the loch too please. Would love to come back!

Great location! Small beach and playpark and other places nearby to visit too! Lodge was great, clean and modern. Check in and out easy to do!

Lodge was great its just the park itself had no pool or bar or anything but the scenery was amazing and the loch we went in paddling and the kids loved it

Our break was exactly what we were looking for ! Rest and Relaxation for myself, teenage daughter, elderly mother and two dogs …… Quiet , beautiful views, kayaking, dog beach walks , visits to local landmarks. Accommodation was immaculate. We will be back soon.

Beautiful setting, well maintained with great helpful staff. Small park perfect for our gathering with elderly parents. The lodge was a comfortable size for 5 adults and 1 teen with all amenities. Loved the robes and slippers and towel for hot tub use. Peaceful tranquil break away, just sad it was so short. We would love to return. Only thing I can think is a few more pans and serving dishes in the kitchen. Must do us the kayak across the loch, great views.

Lovely holiday destination.

We had a lovely stay at Loch Lomond Holiday park. The park had a handy little shop for any snacks we didn’t pack and the waterfront area was lovely. The 2 bedroom Argyll lodge was clean and spacious and had everything we needed as a couple. The area is beautiful and quiet and will hopefully be back in the future.

Beautiful place we knew what the site offered a quiet setting that’s why we went there.
