When we first arrived, everything seemed fine. The caravan was clearly adapted for wheelchair users, with wide doors and a walk-in shower, which was handy. The toilet had a minor issue at first, but it was sorted out pretty quickly. We did struggle a bit with getting hot water in the shower, though my partner was happy with the cooler temps. The only thing missing was shelves in the bathroom for toiletries, but overall, it was comfy, clean and parking right next to it was a real plus!

Honestly, we found the opal quite underwhelming. It’s pretty bare-bones, which isn’t what we were expecting - we didn’t choose basic! The place was tidy enough but we’ve stayed somewhere nicer for less money, which was a bit frustrating. We had to bring our own towels, washing-up liquid and cloths, while other spots provide those already. The shower’s water pressure was pretty poor and WiFi was basically useless. It’s clean, sure, but really quite basic overall.

The bathroom door was a bit of a letdown, with a big gap when closed and no lock. Sharing might be a little awkward because of that.

We had a really nice time at the holiday park. The location is great with plenty of attractions nearby and booking and check-in couldn’t have been easier. The pools were a hit with the kids, aged 8 and 10and the staff there were lovely. The caravan was comfortable, though adding a drying rack for dishes and clothes would have been a real bonus, especially since the weather was quite wet during our stay. Towels took ages to dry, but overall we’d definitely recommend it to others. We’d go back for sure!

The bedding isn't great; we really need proper fitting sheets and duvet covers.

Overall, we’re pretty pleased with the furniture and fittings. Yes, the outside light wasn’t working and the kitchen tube needed replacing, but nothing major. The wardrobe rail did fall and the squeaky floor was a bit annoying, but it’s all minor stuff really.

We enjoyed our stay at this family-friendly spot, especially the outdoor pool which was in use when we visited. The dog walking area, sometimes shared with cows, was a bit quirky but fun. The caravan was comfy, well-furnished and had plenty of storage. Perfect for a relaxed break!

We had a great stay! The caravan felt spacious enough for us, two adults and our two dogs. There was plenty of room, even for their big cages, without feeling cramped. Everything we needed was there and the site was spotless, peaceful and well-kept. Our dogs especially enjoyed the dog walk area. Definitely recommend!

Lovely site. Caravan was not the cleanest with cobwebs , that had been there a while , a hair grip and someone else’s toenail under the bed! So hoovering standard probably not the best. However the caravan met our needs and a good base for exploring the island. We couldn’t use the pool for a few days due to short staffing issues and the reception was closed early for the same reasons , there was a contact number for park warden if any issues in the absence of reception staff and this was well communicated through emails. All in all lovely site and would return again.

Beautiful place, stunning pools, friendly staff, clean caravans and literally 30 minutes from everywhere on the island.

All well , a bit far out if you do not have your own transport. Local supermarket quite some distance away. Van was perfect and staff in Reception, Shop and Cafe very helpful.

Beautiful site very friendly staff and very clean I would say quiet well 99%most of the time except for the crows which we didn't mind , were in the countryside and you can sometimes catch a glimpse of the red squirrels, there is a shop but limited stock just to start you off if need be , two nice sized swimming pools a coffee shop but no club house , outside the park is a bus stop which takes you most places , just a little down the road is a pub call the sun all fresh cooked food at a reasonable price , very friendly and accommodating staff which is family run over all experience was wonderful we had a very chilled time at the park and islewight
