We had a really relaxing stay. The cottage was spotless and well-equipped, plus some thoughtful extras. Cant recommend it enough, honestly!

We really enjoyed the stay, the lodge was lovely and comfortable. The only thing we found tricky was figuring out how to use the dishwasher and oven since there werent any instructions. Also, the lodges quite a trek from the entertainment area and no beach access. A cars definitely a must here!

We spent a lovely week here from 15 to 22 July with our two tiny dachshunds, who had a great time making friends in the charming village of Thaxted. The cottage was really cosy and well-kept and the hot tub was a real treat-especially during the scorching weather, as it was kept cool and super refreshing. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming; it was nice to see them taking their dogs out to the fields each day. Being near Stansteds flight path was fascinating, watching planes land was quite a sight. Wed definitely recommend for a relaxed getaway!

The cottage itself is really lovely and we especially enjoyed the hot tub - perfect during those scorching days, since the water was cooled to stay refreshing. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel really welcome. It was also nice to see the planes coming in from nearby Stansted; quite the sight! Definitely a place wed return to.

The cottage itself is adorable, with a charming half-timbered look and a powerful shower that was much appreciated after long walks. The cosy kitchen and comfy bed made it feel like home. Parking right outside was a real bonus and the place was spotless. Plenty of great walks nearby too-perfect for a relaxing escape.
