We spent a fantastic week at The Old Tact Room and honestly, it was the most relaxing holiday we’ve had in ages. My mum, our dog and I are always on the lookout for cosy log cabin getaways and this place really ticked all the boxes. The secure garden was a massive plus for us - no worries about the dog wandering off! Plus, it’s so private, apart from the two lovely goats at the end of the garden who kept us entertained. The hot tub under cover was such a luxury - rain or shine, we could unwind in it. Jeremy, the owner, greeted us warmly when we arrived and was very helpful with local tips. We appreciated the little touches like biscuits, eggs, firewood and the honesty jar for extra purchases - such a thoughtful idea! Inside, the lodge had a handy info booklet with all you need to know. We mostly stayed on-site, as there’s plenty to do and see nearby, though the centre was only about 10 minutes away by car. The WiFi was a bit patchy in some spots, but once we found the right place to sit, it was fine. Visiting the animals was a real highlight, especially seeing the lambs during lambing season - they were adorable! There’s a secure dog field for off-lead fun too, which our pup loved. Hearing the horses training in the mornings was so calming. The whole place is stunning - huge, spotless and so peaceful. You can step right out of your door and pet the horses at the stables. We loved it so much that we’ve already booked to come back in three weeks! Massive thanks to Peckmoor and sassy Penny the peahen - what a lovely stay!

We stayed at this lodge recently and honestly, it’s a lovely place but missing some key kitchen essentials. The toiletries were quite disappointing-just two bars of soap and tiny shampoo bottles for four of us, so we had to buy shower gel ourselves, which was a bit annoying. The farm produce was also pretty sparse, just six eggs and a pack of shop-bought biscuits, with no milk or anything to make a cuppa after a long drive. It felt a bit stingy, to be honest. The microwave was a pain too-its turntable didn’t fit, so we couldn’t use it properly. As for the kitchen, it was pretty bare-no kitchen towel, pizza wheel, or slotted spoon. We did enjoy the animals and the hot tub, but there’s not much around the lodge itself, so we wouldn’t come back. If they’d been a bit more generous, it could’ve been a fantastic stay, but as it is, it fell a bit short.

We loved staying at this place! The lodge was honestly one of the prettiest and most distinctive spots we've ever been to. The farm-fresh eggs as a welcome gift was such a lovely touch. The owners were super friendly and helpful too. Definitely rebooking soon!

We've stayed at Peckmoor four times now-twice in Two Hoots and twice in Twit Twoo, which is a bit smaller but just right for us. The lodges are stunning, really high quality, with hot tubs and plenty of privacy. The owners are always available if we need anything and it’s such a lovely, cosy place to escape our busy lives. The farm animals, especially the emus, are a real highlight as you drive in-they’re quite entertaining! We’d definitely come back and recommend it to others. Thanks, Peckmoor, for making our holidays so memorable!

We loved staying here! The lodge is tucked away nicely, so it’s super peaceful - you really feel like you’re miles from everything, even with others around. The owners are genuinely lovely and happy to help out. The rolling hills are just stunning and we definitely plan to return. Absolutely a slice of heaven!

We've visited Peckmoor Farm a few times now and already scheduled a couple more trips this year. If you’re after some proper peace and quiet, this is the place to be. The scenery is breathtaking from every angle and you can feed and stroke the animals which is lovely. Jeremy, Sarah and their family really have this place running perfectly - nothing else quite matches up. Honestly, fussing over a racehorse’s nose and having it stare into your soul is a truly special experience, not something you get at your typical holiday park!

We had such a peaceful break, honestly one of the best in years! The tranquil setting and friendly livestock really made it special. The lodges are well-equipped with modern gadgets and the WiFi was spot-on. The hot tub was a real highlight-so relaxing! Everything was generally clean, though we did notice some cobwebs on ceilings and in frames, which was a bit off for us since I’m a bit arachnophobic. Still, we’re definitely coming back and would recommend it to others!

We had a really lovely time at Treetops. The lodge is perfect for a peaceful getaway and ideal for exploring the countryside. The owners were friendly without being overbearing and we loved the homemade cupcakes and eggs upon arrival - such a nice touch! Our dog was super happy too, thanks to the fenced area. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing break in nature.

We recently stayed at this lodge and honestly, it exceeded our expectations. The place was spotless, which was so important given we had someone with a serious illness-Covid safety was also a relief. The surroundings are just perfect-calm and scenic, yet only about 40 minutes to all the main attractions, with even quicker access to some beautiful gardens and walking trails. The owner, Jeremy, was genuinely lovely-friendly, respectful of our privacy but always available if needed. The interior decor was tasteful and the kitchen well-stocked with everything we needed. The hot tub was definitely a highlight! We’re struggling to find anywhere else that compares for our next trip. Truly fantastic stay!

Simply fantastic. The lodge and site was situated in a quiet location, perfectly placed to enable coastal visits during the day and then relaxing in the hot tub each evening. Lodge exceeded our expectations, with everything we needed to ensure our stay was super comfortable. Owners were excellent and easily accessible if required. Very dog friendly place, with plenty of places to walk. Very highly recommended, definitely on our return list.

Beautiful surroundings, immaculate lodge, made for a very relaxing few days away. Welcome gift for us and our pup were gratefully received.

Fantastic no more words needed!
And if had a little shop that sold bread milk bacon n bits would be absolutely perfect! Views amazing so peaceful and lodges are spotlessly clean and have everything you need in them . Thank you xx

A fantastic rural retreat managed by a lovely team. The lodge was very well appointed and the fenced area outside meant our 14 month old black lab could potter about without us worrying if he had got any of the ducks! Very handy for the Jurassic coast. Would thoroughly recommend it.
Lisa
Had a fantastic stay here before starting treatment. Such a wonderful beauty spot and so tranquil.
We brought our 1 year old dog, who loved the welcoming bowl of water and bonio the owners left for her. It was nearly as big as her head, but she managed to eat it all ?.
We are definitely going to book again next year, but this time for a week - 4 nights were not long enough !
The lodge was perfect for 2 of us, and Lexi, everything you needed was there, and the beaches are about 1/2 hour drive away. Again, Lexi loved her first time on the beach.
The hot tub was fantastic and was used every day !! We probably picked the best week as was lovely and warm, but cool at night.
Thanks again for a wonderful break !
Jason

Two hoots has a superb peaceful location not overlooked by any other lodges ,The field you are in has sheep in but our dog just ignored them ,There is a three foot fence running around the lodge ,The inside is lovely two double bedrooms with Tv and en-suite ,one has a bath with shower over it the other has a lovely Walk in shower plenty off hot water .The lounge and kitchen are open plan very spacious with all you require including washing machine ,Crewkerne is 10 mins drive away with supermarkets etc. There is a massive double field that your dog is allowed off the lead and the river Axe is 15 mins walk if your dog would like to cool down.
The owners has created beautiful lodges with all you require in a very peaceful location unless you don’t like sheep cows and some beautiful horses.
Overall fully recommended
Thank you for our week

Peckmoor Farm Lodges are set in a beautiful part of the country with easy access to Coast & Country surrounded by nature and very peaceful. A great getaway.
Array
Such a lovely place to get away and relax. Slightly off the beaten track down one of the famously narrow roads of the area but only a few minutes from the town of Crewkerne. It was exactly what we needed to recharge our batteries. Not far from the sea and beautiful coastal walks offering amazing views. We also enjoyed some lovely evening walks at the farm too. A nice touch to find cupcakes welcoming us to the lodge and fresh eggs from the farm hens.
TLB
Total relaxation. Private lodges in a field of sheep. No phone signal. Great. Fresh eggs and homemade cakes left out for arrival. Delicious.

We went last year and loved it so much had to go again this year. Such a beautiful place, lovely staff and people - just wonderful ?
