We needed a relaxing dog walk break and it was just perfect. Lovely quality place, with pubs and eateries nearby. Miles of open fields and off-road trails - the dog didnt want to leave, honestly!

The cottage was absolutely lovely, especially with the hot tub and cosy log burner. The hosts were friendly, making us feel really welcome. Peaceful spot, loved it! Can't wait to come back for a longer stay soon!

We really enjoyed our stay at Goddard's Mead. The owners, Rob and Sharon, have done a fantastic job converting this historic building with such care. They gave us a warm welcome and Bonnie was adorable! The location is perfect for exploring Essex; we loved wandering around Thaxted and nearby villages to soak up the history and charming architecture. Honestly, its a lovely spot for a relaxing break and wed definitely recommend it to others!

We had an amazing stay at this cottage! The place is super well-kept and has everything you could need. There are loads of lovely dog walks just outside, which was perfect for us and our pups. The host was really friendly and easy to chat to. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a highlight. Well definitely be coming back - great value and a proper peaceful getaway!

Bonnie made us feel right at home too. The location is perfect for exploring Essexs charming villages like Thaxted - so much history and beautiful buildings around. Its definitely a spot worth visiting if you want a peaceful, comfortable break. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic weekend here for my mums birthday! The staff really went above and beyond, setting up the balloons I sent - it looked brilliant. The lodge was perfect, modern but cosy and the hot tub was just what we needed. On-site restaurant, lovely views, walks, shops - well be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage, tucked away on a working farm but still very private. Robert and Sharon are such lovely hosts, making us feel really welcome. The place itself is surprisingly spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we didnt want to leave. The garden is perfect for dogs, completely secluded and nicely furnished. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxteds restaurants like The Star and The Maypole are worth a visit. Wed definitely stay again!

We just got back from a great four-night stay at this charming cottage. The owners are really friendly and laid-back, always around if you need anything but never intrusive. Our dog loved the big fenced garden-it was perfect for him. The place had everything we could possibly need, including a fab hot tub and a barbecue we used one evening. Were already telling friends about it and plan to come back soon. Thanks for a lovely break!

We had an amazing stay! The tent had everything we needed and was super comfortable. The spot was just right, especially with the hot tub area catching the afternoon sun all evening - perfect for relaxing. Having toilet facilities inside the tent was a real bonus and the little hideaway bed was a hit with the kid. Only thing to watch out for is it can get pretty warm in there, so bringing a fan is a good idea. Would definitely come back!

Outstanding holiday park, suited our requirements for a family break.

This is a hidden diamond we stayed in one of the pods it was spotless. The staff are so welcoming and helpful.

Plassey is classy. Lovely place. We were greeted on arrival and shown to reception to gather check-in information. We were escorted to our lodge by two friendly staff on the golf buggy. We could have found it ourselves, but the staff seem to want to get the measure of everybody turning up, which makes sense, as a Park that prides itself on high standards and the importance of guest behaviour.

The staff showed us the lodge and the facilities. The lodge was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed (for the 3 of us). Starter packs in the kitchen and bathroom were provided. Beds and linens were good quality and comfortable. I had excellent sleeps every night. Hot tub was great and the decking area was spacious.

Park facilities we used (with rating) were: Swimming pool (good, but does get busy); Play park (excellent); clubhouse for breakfast (good); cafe (for lunch twice, excellent both times). Wish we could have stayed longer to use more of the facilities on site.

The general park environment was absolutely immaculate. Staff were always around tending to things or tidying. The park management pride themselves on this being a family park. It was excellent, very peaceful and quiet, just what we wanted.

My son has asked when can we go to Plassey again!

Really lovely staff. Very helpful and smiley greeting. We loved everything about our lodge although it took us a while to work out the oven features. Beds were comfy and hot tub was the icing on the cske after climbing Snowdon during our stay. We would definitely return and recommend to family and friends.

A lovely place, very well maintained, great staff, lots of lovely extra touches, had a fantastic weekend in a lovely safari tent.

Just returned from a relaxing week in one of your studio lodges with hot tub. The site was first class. Just right for a couple or small family. The lodge was modern and had everything you need for your stay. The site is kept
Presteign and well looked after. There is plenty of choice When it comes to drinking and eating. On site there are also various shops. We weren’t able to use the pool but it looks good. However I did manage to get out on your golf course and spent the afternoon in sun playing 18 holes. All the staff were fantastic from the chap that came every day to check the hot tub and gave me tips for the golf course to the team at the Haybank. Thanks for a great stay I would definitely recommend a visit. Hopefully I’ll come back in the future.
