We just got back from a wonderful week at Goddards Mead. The cottage had absolutely everything we could ask for and the hosts were so friendly and nice. Even though it’s on a working farm, it felt surprisingly peaceful and relaxing. Loved it!

The welcome pack was really thoughtful, with all the info and menus we could ask for. The little touches for our dogs, like the enclosed garden and extras, made it even better. Sharon and Rob were quick to answer any questions, which was great. The hot tub was definitely a highlight. Overall, a really relaxing break - we’ll be back for sure!

We had a lovely stay at this house. It’s really well kitted out and kept us warm on a rainy December day - perfect! The bath was great and the shower was decent too. The location’s a bit on the busy side with planes overhead, but honestly, it didn’t bother us at all. Ideal if you’ve got a dog that hates fireworks because it’s so remote. Thanks a lot!

We had a fantastic weekend here! The place was just what we needed and we’re already planning to come back. Our dogs were so happy with the underfloor heating and they had a blast running around the garden. Luna even came home with a strained tail - apparently wagging it that much over the weekend! Totally worth it, we loved it!

The garden is perfect for dogs - totally secluded and with nice furniture. Also, Thaxted has some cracking restaurants, especially The Star and The Maypole. We’d definitely recommend it!

We stayed at this lovely place for a week in July with our two tiny dachshunds and they had a blast making new friends in the charming village of Thaxted. The cottage itself is really cosy and the hot tub was such a treat, especially during the scorching weather-cooler water made it super refreshing! The hosts were so friendly and welcoming, it was lovely to see them taking their dogs to the fields daily. Being on the flight path near Stansted was actually pretty interesting-watching planes come in was quite fun. We’d definitely come back!

From the moment we arrived, Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel right at home. They've clearly put a lot of effort into preserving the charm of this historic building. The location is perfect for exploring Essex - we loved wandering around Thaxted and nearby villages, soaking up the history. Goddard's Mead really has everything you need for a cosy, relaxing break. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful getaway with a touch of character!

Loved the site, not far from the beach and town. Also had a very good shop for buying food. Loved the tv in the caravan as it had Netflix and Amazon prime, you just put in your password for them & have plenty to watch in the evening. There was also free wi-fi in the caravan too. Would definitely come back to this site again.

We have stayed at naze marine twice and rebooked for 2023 before we came home. What a lovely place!!! We brought our 8 month old puppy with us and stayed in the pets allowed beam accommodation, which was fantastic. All staff on site are wonderful, so helpful and friendly. We can not wait to go again. The accommodation was very clean, and has everything you need for your stay. The bed was extremely comfortable too. Very good value for money, in such a beautiful location, right by the sea. What more could you want??
