Comfortable stay overall, but missing a few TV channels, sadly.

We had a lovely time at Swanborough Lodges. The staff, especially Cathy, was really helpful and friendly. The little gifts were a nice touch. Overall, a great experience and we’d definitely come back again!

The sofa wasn't the most comfy and there was barely any room to stretch, but overall, everything else was spot on!

We had such a lovely week at the lodges with friends, super peaceful and private. Every moment was worth the long journey, absolutely loved it!

Honestly, we had such a great time staying here. From the moment we pulled up, it felt like home-super cosy and welcoming. The lodge was immaculate and tastefully decorated, making it a real treat to settle in. Every little detail was covered, from the lovely Rituals toiletries to the extra extension lead in case you need it. The beds were super comfy and the towels were plentiful. The hot tub was a real highlight-amazing views over the Sussex Downs, it was just perfect. We even found party poppers left for us on New Year’s Day morning, such a sweet touch! The only thing we didn’t want was to leave. Honestly, best holiday accommodation we’ve ever stayed in. Can’t recommend Swanborough Lakes enough-worth every penny!

We had an amazing time at Swanborough Lakes Lodges! The setting is stunning and the design really makes you feel at home while staying private. It’s the perfect escape and we can't wait to come back!

We’ve been here before, so we knew the lodges were lovely. Took the dogs this time-plenty of walks for them!

We recently stayed in a lodge with a lovely hill view and parking right outside, which was really convenient. The best part was definitely the open-plan lounge with big bi-fold doors that opened onto a large deck - perfect for enjoying the sunshine and relaxing inside/outside. Honestly, it’s exactly how we’d love our own home to be, especially the idea of cooking while still being with the family. On sunny days, you could just fling the doors wide open and feel like you’re outside all the time. The small entrance area was a clever touch, with a bench to sit on while dealing with shoes, a coat rack and even a tucked-away washing machine. We loved how practical that was. The lodges are currently being built with a bedroom at each end, which is a smart layout. The only tiny gripe is that the bath/shower rooms are a bit snug - there’s not enough space to put shower gel or shampoo in the shower. It’s a minor inconvenience though. We had the bedroom door straight out to the hot tub, which we decided was the master room. The other bedroom was a bit too far from the hot tub for our liking, especially after the kids went to bed - but it was spacious enough for a cot, so no big deal. The only thing missing was some kind of surface or shelf near the BBQ, which is a lovely cast iron one, but it’s set away from the building and requires running up and down steps. Also, there’s nowhere to put drinks or utensils while cooking, which would’ve been handy. The kitchen was bright, modern and spacious - little touches like a pint of milk and a jar of olive oil really made it feel special, small details that lift the whole experience. The hot tub was ready to go, steaming hot, but we did notice there were no plastic cups supplied, which was a bit annoying. Overall though, a really nice place - we’d definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our stay! The facilities were great, especially the coffee machine and the lovely welcome pack with tea, coffee, milk and a surprise Prosecco which was a lovely touch. The bed was super comfy and the shower was massive. Rituals toiletries made everything feel pampering. The modern decor made us wish we could live there!

We had a really lovely stay at the lodges. The decor was tastefully done and everything felt cosy and inviting. The beds were super comfy and we loved that each of us had our own single beds since they’re zip-locked - no sharing needed! The hot tub was a highlight, perfectly heated and relaxing after a day out. Kitchen supplies were plentiful, which made cooking so much easier - no missing bits at all. Showers had great pressure, always a plus. We’re four women and the outdoor space was gorgeous; I could see how it might be a bit more private with a partner, but honestly, these lodges are pretty fantastic overall. Would definitely recommend!

Me, my partner and our dog came here for a little break last week and we couldn’t fault it. The lodges are so clean, have everything you could need and are gorgeous! The views are amazing, we done some lovely walks too. We were super happy with our stay, staff were very friendly and welcoming. We all had the holiday blues when we got home, including the dog. It was such a peaceful stay, we can’t wait to come back!

Great caring staff, clean and comfortable lodge with everything we needed including towels and robes for hot tub use. Beautiful peaceful location within 30 -45 minutes lovely walk to Lewes centre. Lots of different walks and footpaths to explore. Patio with hot tub. Stars to look at at night. We had a fantastic holiday, loved every minute. Thanks to the team at Swanborough!

Beautiful tranquil location. The lodge (8) was in a great location overlooking the lake. Love that there is so much space and only 12 lodges on site. Friendly staff who called to check we'd settled in OK, and wonderful idea to have a treat box in fridge waiting for us. Thank you for a wonderful break.

Excellent Lodge in a peaceful tranquil setting, nice easy walk across the fields to Lewes which is a lovely village. Plenty of restaurants, cafés and pubs, along with independent shops etc… Great base to explore East Sussex.

We would highly recommend Swanborough lakes, we normally don't spend much time in our accommodation but the lodge is so lovely that we spent a whole day just in the lodge. It is pricier than other lodges, but we thought it was worth it; with its beautiful surroundings and high end finishes. We will be back.

Roomy and classy lodge which was very private, up-to-date and attractive. Great to have the hot tub to descend into after long walks, all ready to go. Think this place would be hard to beat and would definitely return and recommend to others.

Beautiful setting with peace and quiet as the main agenda. The lodges are a very high specification, clean and well equipped. The staff cannot do enough for you. Welcome pack and ability to order more food packs took the stress out of shopping away. Information provided about surrounding areas and access was helpful when we wanted to get out and about.

Very relaxing with minimal staff intervention which was appreciated, high standard of lodge, peaceful and quite. easy access to surrounding area, pleasant 30 min traffic free walk into Lewes. Considering to go again next year.
