The lodges are as a static caravan on the inside and considering they are relatively new they are not well looked after. There were 5 slats missing on the double bed, only broken hangers in the wardrobes and it had not been cleaned well. Crockery had been put away dirty and they do not sweep up under the beds. Guttering was missing in parts and the festoon lighting that lights up the park at night is very bright and the curtains do not block it out at all.

The only thing I will say, is the sofas aren’t very comfortable, everything else was clean, tidy and perfect for our stay!

For a holiday with luxury written in the title this is not the case.

A cheap & cheerful, no frills weekend away. There were some aspects of this cabin that would have bothered be if we were staying for more than two nights – The pillows were super flat and we only got one each in the single beds. Not enough toilet roll provided in the bathroom. There was a lack of kitchen basics such as only 1 oven tray, only two wine glasses for a cabin that sleeps 4 people. No plastic drinkware for use in the hot tub so we ended up using our water bottles as we didn’t want any glass to break out on the deck.We thought the addition of tea/coffee etc was a nice touch as we’ve never had this provided in a cabin before. There was no freezer section in the fridge to keep ice. The water pressure in the shower was awful and most of the water came out of the leaking hose rather than the shower head itself. No ‘Information Pack’ was provided, usually there is a laminated booklet containing information about the site, what’s close by, check out times etc but there was nothing like that other than an advertisement to buy a cabin on the site. The power outlets didn’t generate enough electricity to power a hairdryer (I don’t know if this is due to the amount of people on the site over the weekend and maybe a generator not being able to cope with everyone using the power all at once). No one was in reception when it came to checking out on the Sunday morning which we felt was strange. The Wifi had a good connection that carried across the entire site and we had no issues with this. The views were amazing over the surrounding areas, lots of wildlife (although we did have an incident with the biggest spider I’ve ever seen in my life). A very friendly welcome upon arrival to the site, a small shop within reception that sold all the basics along with some locally produced preserves and all cabins clearly numbered so we knew exactly which one was ours. (Shop is card payment only)The hot tub was very clean and well sheltered/private, a low outdoor table was also provided which we found really helpful with regards to keeping drinks/electronics within easy reach whilst in the hot tub – There were no hooks outdoors for towels/robes and as it was very windy we had to put these on the floor so they wouldn’t blow off the deck railing. Overall it was a lovely weekend away but we feel this site just needs a little fine tuning.

A fantastic site for a relaxing break away from your normal busy life. The lodge was lovely and had everything we needed, it was very clean and well organised. The site has a little pub that sells delicious food and it also has a pool table, the staff were really helpful and made us all feel welcome.

Lodge was clean and adequate. More towels would have been helpful with the hot tub and an oven cloth or gloves. But all in great holiday with a hot tub at a good price. Pub was really nice, welcoming staff and great food.

Lovely place. Middle of nowhere but if you are looking to relax with a lovely pub onsite this is the place. Thai food in onsite pub was amazing. Very friendly hosts both on arrival and whilst onsite.

I was really worried after reading bad reviews for this park. What a waste of energy! It was just spot on for a relaxing, chilled weekend. Hot Tub is amazing. Location is really remote, so bring supplies. On site pub fabulous, gorgeous Thai food and many kids favourite dishes. Breakfast also yummy. Highly recommend and already planning a return trip.

5 miles down a very bumpy single lane track (not great for your car) to the nearest village of Metheringham which has lots of takeaways , a few pubs and a co op. Over an hour's drive to the coast. We went to Anderby Creek which is great but it's over an hour each way from the site. The site is in a lovely setting next to the river, surrounded by countryside but it's not very well maintained and the lodges could be cleaner.

A wonderful friendly welcome. A secluded location in new lodges that was perfect for a short break. Very dog friendly with walks along the river direct from the site.
