We had a lovely stay! The lodge was spotless and well-maintained. Hot tub instructions were clear, which was handy. The peaceful setting really made our trip special, loved every minute.

We had a lovely holiday surrounded by such beautiful scenery. The only snag was we couldn’t leave the dogs alone, so no dinner out for us. Still, the 10 days flew by and it was a really great experience!

Comfortable but showing signs of wear

Our weekend at Exmoor Gates was fantastic. The lodge was lovely and the hot tub overlooking the woods was so relaxing. Such a peaceful spot, we definitely plan to return soon!

Great spot, would return

The place was really clean and welcoming, which we appreciated. We didn’t mind paying a bit extra for electricity, even though we didn’t use much. A family might feel differently though.

We had such a lovely Christmas Day relaxing in the hot tub, it really felt like pure luxury. The lodge had everything we needed-washing machine, drying racks, dishwasher, even a DVD player. The little touches like disposable trays for turkey, mince pies and a mini Christmas tree made it extra special. Would definitely recommend!

Overall, we found the place quite pleasant. The staff were genuinely helpful and the lodge was lovely, especially the location and the hot tub. However, after a four-hour drive and paying a fair price, being charged extra for electricity felt a bit unfair-£10-£15 max, surely? Still, worth a visit!

The location was spot on and the lodge had all we needed for a comfortable stay. The owners made us feel really welcome-definitely returning!

Overall, we thought it was quite a good stay. The place was spotless when we arrived and everything worked well during our time there. We did find it a bit pricey for just two people, but since it’s a lodge meant for five, it makes sense. The bathroom heater was out at first, but they sorted it quickly - good service! We’d stay again.

We were really lucky with the weather and loved the peaceful setting. Sadly, we didn’t get round to using the pool or other extras because time flew by so fast!

We had a wonderful mid week break at the lodges. Exceptionaly clean and the hot tub was great. The local pub The Rock served some of the best food we have ever had. If you want to find a place to syat in Mirror water, this is it. 100/100. John and Nhu from Vietnam

Beautiful lodge in lovely location. The accommodation is of a high standard and the owners have thought of every detail. Perfect place for a quiet, relaxing break away.

Lovely place to stay accommodation was clean very well kitted out with necessities to make for a comfortable stay. Host were amazing nothing was too much trouble. A larger area for kids to run around somewhere within the site would have been an added bonus. Scenery was lovely felt in the heart of the countryside. Hot tub area was private and not overlooked used the games room multiple times kids loved it and all very good value for money. Private pool was well worth a visit clean warm and plenty of toys for kids. would love to return for another stay.

A lovely relaxing break away from it all

Lovely setting, the lodge was clean and everything you could need was there . It’s peaceful and full of wonderful wildlife all around. A bit too hilly for walking for me and roads around don’t have paths always. The villages near are really friendly and most shops and pubs are dog friendly.

A great holiday, Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was great and very central to various attractions. Surrounded by woodland and wildlife, it was very quiet and peaceful. Had a great stay and will definitely return again.
