We absolutely loved our stay here! The owners are genuinely lovely and went out of their way to help us with everything. The cottage itself is adorable, with its charming half-timbered style and a really strong shower that’s perfect after a day out. The bed was super comfy and the cosy kitchen and lounge made us feel right at home. Plus, parking right next to the cottage was a real bonus. It’s well heated, spotlessly clean and great for walks to Thaxted and beyond. We’ll definitely be back!

Cozy place, perfect for two.

We needed a relaxing getaway with the dog and this place delivered! Lovely countryside walks, great pubs nearby and cosy accommodation. The dog loved it so much, he didn’t want to leave the car! Brilliant stay.

Really enjoyed our stay here! The hosts were so welcoming and helpful, especially when the storm knocked out the power. The cottage was cosy, spotless and perfect for relaxing, with a great outdoor area for the dog.

The cottage was perfect for our family trip-super clean and well-equipped. The size was just right, not cramped at all. We loved sitting outside on the decking, soaking in the stunning views. Honestly, we had a great time and will definitely return. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic weekend here! The place really ticked all our boxes and we honestly can't wait to return. Our dogs were in heaven with the underfloor heating and the garden, which they loved exploring. Luna, in particular, wagged her tail so much she strained it - the vet said it’s from all the excitement! Happy pups, happy us!

The place really needs a refurb, especially the kitchen stuff which is quite worn out. The furniture looks tired and it’s just a bit soulless overall.

Our stay at Goddard Mead was truly lovely. The cottage had everything we needed and the walks right outside were perfect for exploring. The hosts made us feel so welcome, which we really appreciated. Would definitely come back!

Overall, the place was spotless, which we really appreciated. That said, some updates wouldn’t go amiss - carpets, curtains and furniture are starting to look a bit tired. The kitchen could also do with a fresh door, new worktop and maybe a better hob. Still, a comfy stay!

The place is super handy for exploring the sights and the balcony is a lovely spot to relax. The owner’s really friendly, too. Just a heads up, it’s a bit remote, so Wi-Fi and phone signals can be patchy sometimes. We liked it though!

We really enjoyed our stay at Oak Cottage. The location in South Wales is stunning and the owners are lovely. The manual was clear, but don’t forget to bring some £1 coins for the electricity meter if you plan on using the sauna! It’s a little detail that’s easy to overlook but important. Overall, a lovely place to unwind.

Could not fault the cottage,very clean,remote location and exactly what we needed.

We were concerned after we booked about having to pay for the all electric cottage using a coin fee meter, especially with fuel bills going up. But we were there 4 days and used £2 of electric.

Had a lovely relaxing time at Avalon Cottages. Very clean & comfortable. Beautiful scenery. Will be returning at some point.

Have stayed here many times. You cannot fault how clean tidy the cottage is. Your welcome is always great and nothing is too much trouble. Plan to stay here many times more in the futurw

Lovely cottage easy reach of Tenby, Pembroke and Mumbles. The meter uses £1 coins just a couple a day.

A fab and peaceful weekend in a lovely location and lodge. Was a great base for exploring the local area and was lovely to get recommendations for places to eat and explore. Would definitely stay again!
