We had such a lovely stay at this good place! The setting is really beautiful and private, perfect for a peaceful break. The owners were super friendly and always happy to help without intruding. We loved unwinding in the hot tub after cycling around the area. Just a heads up, the cottage is right under Stansted's flight path, so there’s quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didn’t bother us much after a while, but if you're sensitive to noise, it’s worth knowing. Overall, a great little escape!

We just got back from a four-night stay at this charming cottage and honestly, we had a great time. The owners are really friendly but not pushy, which we appreciated. The fenced garden was perfect for our dog to roam around safely. The place had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen and a lovely hot tub - it was such a treat! We even used the BBQ one evening. Definitely planning to come back and have already recommended it to friends. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We really enjoyed the spot in the park, it’s a great place with tasty, affordable food and a modern extension. The only downside was the limited seating for the entertainment, so we couldn’t join in. Overall, a lovely holiday!

We stayed at Goddard's Mead and absolutely loved it! Rob, Sharon and Bonnie were such welcoming hosts, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The building’s history is beautifully preserved and it’s clear they’ve put a lot of care into converting it sympathetically. The location is perfect for exploring Essex - we enjoyed wandering around Thaxted and the surrounding villages, soaking up all the charm and history. Highly recommend for a relaxing break!

We stayed at Goddard's Mead recently and honestly, it’s a lovely spot. The owners, Rob & Sharon, really put a lot of effort into restoring this historic building with care. They greeted us warmly, along with Bonnie, which made us feel right at home. The place has everything you need for a comfy, relaxing break. The location is perfect too-easy to explore Thaxted and the charming nearby villages with their rich history. Definitely recommend!

The place itself is beautifully kept, cosy and spotlessly clean, with a lovely strong shower and a comfy bed. Pencnwc is a lovely warm, clean and welcoming caravan park. Everything on site is to a good standard, with the local shop only a few yards away from the main entrance. Plenty to do nearby, the kids were entertained by the crazy golf and park.

We never went to the club we were so far away and can't walk that far we didn't bother. Usually we have a caravan near the club which suits our mobility. Wouldn't want to stay that far out again. Lovely caravan nice and clean. Had everything we needed.
