Loch Awe Holiday Park

Perfect for our needs. Very comfortable, fantastic view of the mountains where we were pitched. It was nice to have a little welcome pack of some essentials to start you off, good idea.

Lovely caravan (fairly new) - just initial issue of the smell of smoke due to previous occupants. Located next to main road so occasionally noisy.

Caravan was well kitted out and nice and clean.

Nicevbreak. Vreathtakingvview close by loch made it more enjoyable.

Lovely setting and pleasant small and friend site with excellent staff

Our caravan was clean, comfortable, well-equipped and nicely furnished with a welcome pack. The location was quiet and handy for the garage with its shop and walks and towns nearby. The staff were friendly and courteous and we would book again.

Perfect place for a break peaceful not a lot on site which was perfect for us , caravan was spotless and well equipped, shop at the garage for milk and stuff , short drive or get the bus into oban bus stop is on the door step beautiful surroundings already looking for another break away to this site information pack was spot on staff brilliant all in all loved the place

We needed a quick escape for walks and relaxation and this place delivered. Lovely countryside, nearby pubs and great facilities. The dog loved it so much, it refused to get back in the car! Definitely recommend.

We just got back from a lovely week at Goddards Mead. The cottage had everything we could possibly need, really well stocked. The hosts were so welcoming and friendly. Even being on a working farm, it felt like a peaceful retreat-absolutely loved it!

We had a lovely short break here. The place felt really cosy and inviting. Staff were super friendly. Definitely planning to come back soon! Xx

From the moment we arrived, Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel so welcome in this beautifully converted historic building. The place is cosy and well-equipped, perfect for a laid-back stay. We loved exploring the lovely surroundings of Essex, especially wandering through Thaxted and nearby villages - so much history and charm around every corner. Honestly, Goddard's Mead is a real gem for anyone wanting a peaceful break. Highly recommend!

We spent a week here in July with our two tiny dachshunds and honestly, they loved every minute. The village of Thaxted is adorable and friendly and the cottage itself is really charming. The hot tub was such a treat, especially during the scorching days when it was cooled for extra refreshment. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming, which made us feel right at home. We also enjoyed watching the planes land since its close to Stansted-added a bit of excitement! Overall, wed definitely recommend it for a relaxing break, dogs included!

We had a lovely stay here. The staff really went out of their way to help us, which we appreciated. The park itself is super peaceful and well looked after-definitely a quiet spot to unwind. The only thing missing was an iron in the caravan, which would've been handy. Its in a pretty area, though a bit close to the main road for some. Theres no on-site bar or restaurant, but a short walk takes you to one with a discount for Loch Awe residents. Also, the shop and petrol station at the entrance are reasonably priced, which was a bonus!

We had such a lovely stay! The owners are genuinely warm and very attentive without being overbearing. The cottage itself is adorable, with its charming half-timbered style and a really solid shower. The cosy kitchen and comfy bed made it feel like a home away from home. Parking right outside was super convenient and the place was spotless. We enjoyed peaceful walks across the fields to Thaxted, which is full of cute half-timbered houses and a windmill. Definitely recommend!

Overall, we had a great stay. The caravan was spotless and really modern, with comfy beds we didnt want to leave. Only downside was the oven, which took ages to cook dinner and the water pressure couldve been better. Still, lovely place!

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip! Beds in caravan were a little uncomfortable, but they gave us a wee dog package to keep when we arrived which was so lovely. Oven wasn't working on our first night which meant we couldn't cook our dinner which wasn't ideal, however was fixed the next day. Staff so friendly and my dog loved them! Lovely walks fairly closeby. Closest supermarket is about 30 mins away in oban, but their on site little shop is really handy - even has a petrol station. Would recommend for a short break away!

Lovely quiet spot at this well maintained site. 20 min drive to Oban with a hotel serving fabulous food half a mile away.

We had a lovely holiday at loch awe holiday park. Plenty to see and explore near by! Staff where lovely and friendly. Would defo recommend a short trip along the road to Airds bay.

Beautiful location and the caravan we stayed in was spotlessly clean, staff were very welcoming and friendly with plenty of local information, very dog friendly and the pub/restaurant was only a short walk away along a river path which was also dog friendly and served good value food and drinks, well worth a visit if your in the area

Couldn't have asked for a better holiday with my family. Lodge was spectacular the staff even more so. We had an amazing time

Absolutely beautiful holiday park. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Caravan was immaculate and the beds were very comfy. Plenty to see and do in the area. We all had a fantastic break away.

We stayed here last week and had a lovely time. The staff on sight were very friendly and welcoming. The caravan was really nice and was very clean. It was lovely and quiet.
The place is central to lots of places around.
Will certainly come again

Lovely quiet site ideal for touring the Argyle area. Caravan well equipped and clean. Was a little surprised at the extra charge of 35 pounds for fuel, have always has energy price included in total holiday cost. Is this the norm now?
