Beds are really not comfy, quite a letdown overall.
Emma
Date of stay: 20th November 2024
The lodge was lovely overall, but a closer look showed some sofas and chairs could really do with a good deep clean. Still enjoyed it though!

The accommodation was really lovely, especially the stunning sea views. The hot tub was a real treat! The site was spotless and kept very tidy. Staff were genuinely warm and friendly - made us feel at home. Everything was top-notch, honestly. Would definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our stay! The place was super comfortable and spacious, with all the little touches like towels, dressing gowns and even shampoo and soap, which was thoughtful. The kitchen had everything we needed, from fridge to dishwasher and the hot tub was nicely tucked away for privacy. Definitely a great spot for a relaxing break!

Our stay at Glenside 19 Superior was quite enjoyable overall. The photos online made it look newer than it actually was, but honestly, it didn’t really matter too much since the lodge was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully designed. Shearbarn park was super peaceful, which we loved and we took full advantage of all the facilities, including a free swim at the complex just by showing our key fob. We booked from Monday to Friday during the summer holidays and it was perfect timing. The view from the van was stunning and we spent loads of time just relaxing on the balcony. Hastings is really close by too, just a quick 6-minute drive and park. Our children had a fantastic holiday, so thank you! Would definitely stay again in the same lodge and we’d recommend it to others.

We had a lovely stay in this caravan! It’s in a great spot on the site, with a bit of a sea view which was lovely to wake up to. The place was spotlessly clean and had a good-sized living area along with decent kitchen facilities. The iron and ironing board were a nice touch. The only downer was the super soft main bed and the single beds are quite small - perfect for under ten-year-olds. Overall, a really nice holiday on a beautiful site!

Date of stay: 20th March 2024
We had a lovely stay and the reception team really made us feel welcome. The lodge was spotless and had everything we needed, though a few extra mugs and glasses would have been handy for a larger group. Lakeside 4 was perfect - fantastic sea views from the deck and a private hot tub. Definitely recommend!

We stayed at Lakeview 2 after being moved from Ocean View because of decking problems. Honestly, we loved the lodge-spotless, comfy and just perfect for our stay. Would definitely go back!
Emma Carter
Date of stay: 7th March 2024
We really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff throughout our stay. The location was perfect, with stunning views of the sea and Hastings from different windows - honestly, it was lovely. The only letdown was receiving a call after booking to say the pool and restaurant weren’t open. Still, we’d definitely come back when everything’s up and running again!

Date of stay: 5th January 2024
We had a great stay in the lodge again. The views are stunning and staff really are friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to return in summer!
Emma
Date of stay: 4th January 2024
We had a really lovely time! The lodge was spotlessly clean and super cosy, with everything we needed. The towels were a proper treat-big and fluffy, which was a nice surprise. Would definitely come back!
Emily and James
Date of stay: 31st December 2023
We had an absolutely lovely stay! The staff were genuinely wonderful, especially when we needed an extra table and chairs for Christmas dinner. The reception team sorted it out quickly and without any hassle, which was much appreciated. The van was spotless and very comfortable, with nice beds that made us feel at home. Though, I do think a 'superior' van should have an en suite bathroom and if there's a power and aerial socket in the bedroom, a TV would be a nice touch to really call it top of the range. But honestly, these were just minor niggles and didn’t affect our overall experience. We’re already excited about returning in 2024. Great job, team! Looking forward to it!
Alex

Nice caravan, but missing dishwasher
Emma
Date of stay: 6th December 2023
We really enjoyed our stay. The place was spotless and the view from the terrace was lovely, especially in the morning. A small shelf in the bathroom for toiletries would’ve been handy, but it’s a common issue in tiny caravans. Overall, a great short getaway - definitely recommend!

Date of stay: 29th November 2023
We had a fantastic stay! The place was spotless and in a perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. Close enough to walk to town and the beach. Definitely recommending it and planning to return soon.

Date of stay: 17th November 2023
Could be better, honestly, quite disappointing
Emma Carter
Date of stay: 12th November 2023
We tried to get some info, but it was all wrong - the place’s closed! When we called, the staff didn’t seem bothered and just told us to ring later. They really should update their info packs. Not impressed at all, honestly.
Sam
Date of stay: 1st November 2023
We stayed in a super clean caravan and the price was pretty decent. The only hiccup was the gas oven-couldn’t quite figure it out, but that’s probably on us. Still, a great place I’d recommend!
Claire Matthews
Date of stay: 1st November 2023
The lodge was spotless and well-kept, but the radiators did seem a bit neglected. Without the fire, it got quite chilly!
Julie
We love Hastings and Shear Barn is a perfect base to explore the area. If you're walking be prepared for "the hill"...
Louise
Lovely stay, lodge very nice and well equipped, decking area a little tired and some parts broken Beautiful views and surrounding beaches ideal for dogs
Matthew
Lovely lodge with great scenery. Nice and quiet.
Angela
Firstly it was fantastic weather which always helps the holiday. The view of the sea and the fern glens were great. The Lodge was clean and comfortable. It is about a mile and half to Hastings sea front, which is downhill on the way in, but a bit of a climb coming back for older people like us, so we tended to get a taxi back (about £6:50, so pretty much the same as for parking). And if you are people who enjoy walking it is a wonderful area. There is not a great deal onsite in regard to entertainment, a bar, a restaurant and a small swimming pool, so if you are people who want a lot of onsite entertainment this is probably not the site for you. We greatly enjoyed it though, very friendly, and we found plenty to do in and around Hastings.
Tracie
Lovely quiet place. The park itself is spotless and well maintained.
Sarah
Gorgeous lodge, lovely, quiet, well looked after site. Small shop could be better stocked, the only downside. Pool was good, staff in reception really helpful when asked for directions locally to the town and walk around Hastings park. Had a lovely week and would definitely recommend.
Daniel
Very nice quiet park we stayed in glen side with a hottub would definitely come again
Lisa
Wonderful holiday and staff very helpful. Will be going again.
Mark
Lodge lovely ? on site facilities pool very small bar area just ok
Phil
Easy Check-in; Clear Directions to Lodge; Clean Comfortable and Well-equipped Accommodation; Quiet Cliff-top Site; Good Site Facilities; Well-maintained Pool; Easy Access to Coast Path and Country Park for Short or Long Walks to East or West to Hastings and beyond; Quick Maintenance Response to Minor Plumbing Issue; Easy Check-out. Walk into Hastings or other beaches requires negotiation of steep slopes and/or steps (or the use of the cliff railway into Hastings); All Staff were Helpful and Efficient. We had a Really Relaxing Break and enjoyed the local area, site facilities, and particularly the easy access to coastal paths for walking.
Mikaela
Really nice peaceful place in a nice location with lots of wildlife. The guy in reception was very happy and helpful which is a nice greeting after a long drive.
