We received a warm welcome from the reception staff. The lodge was very clean and well equipped (although a couple more mugs and glasses would be good for stays with more than 4 guests). We stayed in Lakeside 4 and had a great view of the sea from the deck and the hot tub was set back for privacy.

This review is for Lakeview 2 as we were moved from Ocean view before our arrival due to decking issues. I loved the lodge we stayed in, perfect in every way

Very friendly and helpful staff, the only thing I was disappointed with was to get a phone call after booking from the park to say the swimming pool and restaurant wasn't open when we was staying.Great location and the view was fantastic, we can see the sea in one window and Hastings in another.We would definitely stay again but hopefully when everything is open.

We've had a wonderful stay. The lodge was absolutely lovely, very clean and warm. It was well equipped. The towels were large and fluffy, not something you'd normally get, it was a great surprise.

We had a great stay, the staff are amazing, we needed an extra table and seating for our Christmas Dinner and the lovely girls on reception made it happen without any fuss, a 5 star service ???? The van was very clean and tidy and even had comfortable beds ! But I have to say a superior van should have an en suite and if there's a power and aerial socket in the bedroom it should have a TV in it to earn the title of superior, a minor thing that didn't in anyway ruin our stay it's just my opinion ???? We are already planning our third stay in 2024 and looking forward to it already.Well done team ???? Phill and Louise.

Lovely caravan but no dishwasher!

Nice and clean, lovely view from the terrace area. Would be nice to have a rope hanger and a small shelf in the bathroom for the toiletries, but I guess it's a common problem in the small caravans. Overall a great for a short break, highly recommended

Was a lovely place to stay. Very clean great location for a nice quiet break away. Walking distance to town and beach. Would definitely recommend. And will definitely be booking again soon

Dated, mouldy, neglected as described previously

Also checking in information is incorrect. The restaurant is closed. Information on issues ie contact reception out of hours. The person who answered telephone was not interested told me to ring back in the morning. Did not want to come and check, information pack needs to be updated.

Spotless caravan and really good price. Only thing is I couldn't work out the gas oven but that might be my fault to be fair lol. Perfect place to stay which I highly recommend.

the lodge was very clean except the radiators. The fire in the lounge had been removed so no back up heat.

We had a number of issues with areas in the lodge that needed attention to detail in clearing, we went through the park itself after speaking to Hoseasons which we appreciated dealt with efficiently and we look forward to returning next year to an upgraded lodge at the same price we had one booked and a 30% refund We have stayed in lodges before and hated the fact we had to put in a complaint but when you pay just under £1,000 for a lodge you do expect standards you had in previous lodges Attention to detail was required We look forward to the upgrade next year and hope we will have no course to complain

Better suited to active people as very hilly. Beautiful views, lovely site, staff and grounds.

The holiday home was infested with ants and when we tried to let down the bathroom blind it fell on my mum and no can opener, we did notify reception. These were the only faults otherwise lovely place

Caravan was perfectly adequate for our needs, pet friendly.

it would be nice to find some basic spices - salt, pepper ...

A great week away with the children, the park and lodge were much nicer than we were expecting. Staycations are definitely the way forward.

We love Hastings and Shear Barn is a perfect base to explore the area. If you're walking be prepared for "the hill"...

Lovely lodge with great scenery. Nice and quiet.

Firstly it was fantastic weather which always helps the holiday. The view of the sea and the fern glens were great. The Lodge was clean and comfortable. It is about a mile and half to Hastings sea front, which is downhill on the way in, but a bit of a climb coming back for older people like us, so we tended to get a taxi back (about £6:50, so pretty much the same as for parking). And if you are people who enjoy walking it is a wonderful area. There is not a great deal onsite in regard to entertainment, a bar, a restaurant and a small swimming pool, so if you are people who want a lot of onsite entertainment this is probably not the site for you. We greatly enjoyed it though, very friendly, and we found plenty to do in and around Hastings.

Gorgeous lodge, lovely, quiet,well looked after site. Small shop could be better stocked,the only downside. Pool was good, staff in reception really helpful when asked for directions locally to the town and walk around Hastings park. Had a lovely week and would definitely recommend.

Walk into Hastings or other beaches requires negotiation of steep slopes and/or steps (or the use of the cliff railway into Hastings); All Staff were Helpful and Efficient. We had a Really Relaxing Break and enjoyed the local area, site facilities, and particularly the easy access to coastal paths for walking.

Really nice peaceful place in a nice location with lots of wildlife. The guy in reception was very happy and helpful which is a nice greeting after a long drive.
