We had a lovely stay at Westlands Country Park. The location is spot on, just a quick 5-minute drive to the M74, making it super convenient. Our Stargazer lodge was modern, spacious and super comfy. The hot tub was a real highlight, offering great privacy thanks to the surrounding fence. We also enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant - the food was tasty and the staff friendly and attentive. The bar area looked really stylish too. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a lovely stay here. The lodge was spotless and really comfortable, plus the hot tub was a nice touch. If you’re into clay shooting or fishing, it’s perfect. Just watch out for the goose poo around the lodges! Definitely recommended.

We recently spent four nights in a Stargazer Lodge and honestly, it was fantastic. The views from the hot tub were stunning and the lodge had all the essentials. The onsite bar and restaurant felt really welcoming and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Loved the peacocks wandering around too. We’ll be back for sure!

Really enjoyed our stay! The hot tub was fantastic and spotless, maybe a touch too much chlorine. The pod itself was lovely, though a mop would’ve been handy. Overall, a great getaway!

We genuinely had a fantastic stay. The lodge at Swift Toronto (19) was spot-on-really well kitted out and super cosy, even in January. The hot tub was a real highlight and the big decking area with a table and chairs looks perfect for summer. We dined at the restaurant too and the food was lovely! X

We’ve visited Westalnds a few times now and always get a warm welcome, plus the lodges are really lovely. This time we stayed in the Savannah Lodge. While it is a nice place, it wasn’t quite right for us. The two-bedroom layout for four people feels quite cramped - honestly, you sit so close you could bump into each other! Also, if you’re using the appliances, the smoke alarm goes off because it’s super sensitive, which was a bit of a pain. The location of the hot tub was a bit disappointing too - having to walk across the front of the lodge in the open isn’t ideal and some of the covers were missing. On an evening, the huge street light nearby makes it floodlit, so it’s not as relaxing as other lodges, which had more private settings. The lodge itself is lovely, but probably better suited for fewer people or just a smaller group. Still, we love the area - the setting is fantastic and we’ll definitely be coming back!

We’ve stayed at the Parkview Plus twice now and honestly, it’s a lovely spot for a small family. It’s super clean and well-equipped, though the beds aren’t the comfiest. We just wished for a bigger lodge this year because of our teenagers’ ages. Still, we really enjoy it here!

Really loved the lodge’s stunning design and peaceful vibe, but the clay pigeon shooting was loud!
Emma, Blackpool
Date of stay: 15th December 2024
We had a lovely stay here! The views from the accommodation were stunning and the place was spotless. The site itself was well-maintained and tidy, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, not all dog owners followed the 'pick up your poop' request, especially over the weekend, which was a bit disappointing. The new café and restaurant looked great but were quite pricey-£7.50 for just three lemonades seemed a bit much. Also, only Sunday lunch was available on Sundays and we weren’t told to book in advance. The clay shooting noise was a little intrusive at times, but overall, we enjoyed it!

We stayed at Whistler Lodge and really enjoyed it. The place was gorgeous, super spacious and had a real luxury vibe. The only downside was there isn’t much nearby for walking-no town or pubs-but Gretna Outlet was just a short drive away. Nice spot overall.

We had such a lovely stay! The lodge was spotlessly clean and really well looked after. It was ideal for our group - two couples, a baby and our two dogs. The kitchen had everything we needed and that wine fridge was a nice touch. Definitely recommending it!
Sam, Wallsend
Date of stay: 14th November 2024
The place was super tidy and had everything we needed inside. We did wish there was a proper outdoor seating area - just a simple table and chairs would’ve been perfect instead of using a disposable BBQ. Still, overall, it was a fantastic stay!

We absolutely loved our stay, beautiful surroundings and not too far from day trips out. Restaurant was equally lovely and the food was amazing! Staff were really friendly and helpful, already looking at a break for next year ?
Megan
Just returned from a lovely holiday at westlands country park. The park was lovely, slightly rough around the edges but this is to be expected with a new park. We stayed in a stargazer lodge at the end of the park which was serene, the hot tub was spotless and the lodge itself was lovely. (Did find a few areas that weren't as clean as I'd have liked, but nothing a quick wipe down couldn't sort!) If you're over 6ft though i would advise that the lodge could be a bit squishy especially if you plan on using the loft room. The tv is a smart TV but has no smart features as its unable to connect to any WiFi even though there is WiFi across the park. The park is totally dog friendly which was a winner for us, however the balcony doesn't have a side wall where the hot tub is so my dog did do a runner and escaped so bring something to tie your dog to if they can't be trusted! The shooting range operates from about 9am to 5pm and boasts a lovely walk round the park, however if you have dogs that fear loud noises this is NOT the place for you. Tesco in Annan is a 5 minute drive away, and on arrival you are given a promo code for a local shop which delivers right to your pod which is amazing! The restaurant is lovely and reasonably priced, and there is a small shop within the building selling a few cooled items like drinks and 'fridge food'. If you are staying with a dog I'd highly recommend driving down to powfoot beach, park on the green in the village and walk down to the sandpiper cafe for a drink and then walk back, on a sunny day it is beautiful.
Sharon
Can’t fault this place you get what you see in pictures the place is immaculate lodges spotless and have everything you need . It was a bonus having the washing machine , dogs loved the walks around the park and their welcome pack was a special touch we loved the peace and quiet . The park doesn’t have anything for kids or night time entertainment but that was fine for us but if you have small kids it’s not for them . We loved it so relaxing .
Hannah
The park was lovely, clean and tidy surroundings and well maintained. Good location for travelling to a variety of places.
Joanne
Thourghly enjoyed our long weekend break, The lodge was lovely and clean and bonus with hot tub. We booked the clay pigeon shooting prior to our stay for the Suday and we both enjoyed the experience, just wish it was longer than half an hour but still recommend the experience. Overall the place was nice and I found staff friendly enough. We bought a milk shake from Katie's Cow vending machine on site, which was delish ? We found local village Eastriggs to be ideal for walking our dog as it was only 5 mins away and there were a few good waking paths.
Brian
Great location, remote while 10 mins from supermarket and restaurants etc. great shooting experience. Escape pods with hottub are amazing and have everything you need. On site Restaurant is lovely and value for money.
Sandra
Everything you need in the lodges.
Helen
Absolutely brilliant lodge,, very clean and immaculate. Little extras are a bonus, dog box, kitchen box. Hot tub brilliant.
