Great short break good facilities and excellent staff.

A nice lodge equipped with everything needed, two full bathrooms with shower and a double and twin bedroom. The only downside was the size of the outside space with the hot tub taking over a good proportion of the decking. As there were only two of us it wasn't an issue but for four it would be a bit of a squeeze to sit outside comfortably.

Fab holiday will recommend. ???? Beautiful surroundings and Great chilling in the hot tub. Very relaxing holiday ????. Plenty of lovely places to visit. Loved buttermere. Local pub. The sun inn for really nice food. Staff very friendly. ??.

Kitchen table wobbles, the legs need tighten up. Beds super comfy, clean thick towels. Comfortable sofas

What a wonderful few days we had in Grisedale lodge. The special touches of a goody bag, bowls blankets and towels for the dog were lovely as well as the chocolates, fresh milk, fizz and beer for us. The location was stunning and the views from the hot tub were beautiful. We explored Keswick, Ambleside and the local forests during our stay and had a peaceful walk around Bassenthwaite lake. Highly recommend and we will definitely return again soon.

Lovely relaxing break - just what we wanted

It's our third visit to the lodges and our second in Rannerdale lodge.Ideal for my wife and I, with the hot tub a superb feature.Very clean and tidy, with everything you need to hand.

Beautiful location and lovely staff

Great size lodge in an excellent location on the park. Bedrooms are ample sized and well equipped. Lodge has everything you need for a relaxing holiday, a real home from home. Hot tub great, there were only 4 of us so there was plenty room. Might be a squeeze for 6! Christmas tree in lounge was a lovely touch too. Only slight criticism is that the lodge is clearly a few years old now and was a bit tired in places - could perhaps do with a fresh lick of paint here and there. Saying that, all the extra touches more than made up for it, dog bowls, blanket, treats, mulled wine and lagers, table set beautifully on arrival etc. would defo stay here again!!!

Had Christmas here with hubby and the dog. Lovely touch was the Christmas tree and mulled wine & box of chocolates. Lodge is very comfortable apart from the single beds in 2nd bedroom. I used one of these as hubby doesn’t sleep too good sometimes!They are very small for adults, and it was ever so slightly on a slant.Would say it’s not suitable for four adults sharing. Other than that was very nice break.

The lodge is well equipped and a great size although I would say aspects are a little tired and could do with been replaced.

Lodge was very clean and beautifully decorated but needed a little TLC in places ie, one of roller blinds brackets was hanging off the wall and the drawer bottoms needed fixing.

Spacious,spotless fully equipped even with cleaning products, welcome pack for guests and pets,we had a jacuzzi also, cleanest well presented lodge to have stayed in to date, absolute credit to staff for for attention to detail

Very clean lodge with fabulous views of the lake. Could do with some updating especially the decking area. Had an issue with the shower and the Bbq but both were fixed quick and efficiently. Still enjoyed our break and found the lodge to be very comfortable.

We felt the Country Lodge Plus offered the perfect balance of luxury (hot tub and fittings) vs price when compared to the next level of lodge above. We were fortunate to get Burthwaite right by the lake and the dog walking paddock. Blown away by the view and peace. It was a bird spotters paradise - so many species. Well maintained, a lovely size for us 2 adults and 2 small dogs. Highly recommended and the site owners/management really excelled themselves on service. Thank you.

Lodge was clean, comfortable and in excellent order. Bottle of milk tea and coffee and a bottle of fizz and beer was a nice touch. Quiet site on the side of the lake was perfect for us. Bit expensive otherwise would definetely be back.

We stayed in Hawkshead which had everything we needed, it was lovely and clean and comfortable, the bathroom is amazing I loved the large bath. The decking could do with some tender loving care and the door to the decking seems to have dropped and needs some attention but all in all we had a lovely relaxing break away.

Beautiful setting

What a great house, the pictures don't do it justice. We had a great time here, can't fault anything. We enjoyed being so close to the lake and it really is a very picturesque spot. Staff really helpful as we left a few items behind! We would certainly visit again. Thank you!

The lodge is in an awesome location. We were literally 60 seconds away from the lake which our Siberian Husky loved. Keswick is 10 minutes away in the car & Dodds Wood is just over a mile away - well worth a visit to both. The Cumbrian Coast is only 30 minutes drive. The accommodation was fantastic - very well appointed. Great unexpected extras /treats on arrival for us & our dog - nice touch which really makes the difference. Staff all great & very helpful. All in all a great break in an excellent location. I would absolutely recommend.

Outstanding site in lovely surroundings.

It’s so gorgeous we’d like to come here again. Beautiful setting , felt like Canada. Love that we could cool off in the lake and walk from the lodge too. It’s much more peaceful than a lot of the lakes this time of the year.

The Croft Cottage was perfect for us. It was very spacious and it had everything we needed. It was very clean. Just a short walk down to the Lake. We will definitely be booking this again.
