Perfect stay here with my family over the weekend. We stayed in a pet friendly lodge which can equipped for just what we needed. The lodge was clean on arrival and felt very homely. Hot tub was clean and we used this each evening with no issues. The grounds are small and easy to navigate. We have already booked to come back in February.I would recommend this place.Only suggestion would be for bigger pans and more oven tray usage aswell as more utensils, useful if you have a bigger family staying in the lodge.

Very small niggle we would have liked an internet tv and a tv in the bedroom but thats only our personal opinion

Lovely stay at the Grisedale lodge. Great facilities within the Lodge, we had everything we needed. Only downside was there were quite a lot of cobwebs in the lodge.

The lodge cleanilness was very poor, given the luxury look online.

The lodge looked a little worn but overall it was clean and very nice place to stay. There’s a small park for the kids but nothing else for kids to really do (we were aware of this before we booked). Excellent location and view. Really good base to explore the lakes from.

It was a dog friendly cabin but could have done with a better clean I thought although this didn’t put us off. No amenities on site but Keswick is just a short drive away, we loved it the views were amazing

Beautiful location, lodge is very comfortable, and clean. We have stayed at 3 others on the same site and this is our favourite so far.

Reasonable layout of lodge but would have issues if wet weather in where to hang wet coat , boots etc. Could do.with some hangers, shoe rack by door. All storage in room. Nice deep bath to soak in after a challenging walk. Good variety of utensils to cook own meals.

We had a lovely week here from 15 to 22 July with our two tiny dachshund girls, who really enjoyed themselves, especially making friends in the charming village of Thaxted. The cottage itself is quite pretty and the hot tub was a real treat - perfect since it was scorching weather and cooling the water made it super refreshing. The hosts were warm and welcoming and it was nice to see their dogs being taken out daily to the fields. Being near Stansted’s flight path was interesting - I loved watching the planes land. Definitely recommend hiding here for a peaceful escape!

We really enjoyed our stay overall. The views from the lodge are stunning and the bedrooms are a good size. The living room was comfy, which was great after a day out. That said, some areas could use a bit of sprucing up - the en suite shower was temperamental and the outside decking and furniture could do with an upgrade. With a bit of TLC, it’d be perfect!

Lodge was lovely

We stayed at Grisedale lodge which was in a lovely location with views of the lake, however the lodge itself requires some maintenance and a good clean we would not stay here again unfortunately.

We had such a lovely Christmas break, totally different from usual! It was great.

We had a great experience and definitely plan to book with them again soon.

Stayed the weekend for my wife's 40th birthday and mother's day celebrations. Lodge was fantastic, well equipped and immaculate throughout. Surroundings were stunningly beautiful and the staff were fantastic. We have booked to return already. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

We had such a lovely weekend here, really enjoyed it! Definitely hoping to return later this year.

We loved the cosy cabin, especially the secure patio for our doggies. The beds were super comfy and the coffee machine was a lovely touch. Might need a bit more kitchen storage, but overall, great stay!

Beautiful setting

What a great house, the pictures don't do it justice. We had a great time here, can't fault anything. We enjoyed being so close to the lake and it really is a very picturesque spot. Staff really helpful as we left a few items behind! We would certainly visit again. Thank you!

The lodge is in an awesome location. We were literally 60 seconds away from the lake which our Siberian Husky loved. Keswick is 10 minutes away in the car & Dodds Wood is just over a mile away - well worth a visit to both. The Cumbrian Coast is only 30 minutes drive. The accommodation was fantastic - very well appointed. Great unexpected extras /treats on arrival for us & our dog - nice touch which really makes the difference. Staff all great & very helpful. All in all a great break in an excellent location. I would absolutely recommend.

Outstanding site in lovely surroundings.

It’s so gorgeous we’d like to come here again. Beautiful setting , felt like Canada. Love that we could cool off in the lake and walk from the lodge too. It’s much more peaceful than a lot of the lakes this time of the year.

The Croft Cottage was perfect for us. It was very spacious and it had everything we needed. It was very clean. Just a short walk down to the Lake. We will definitely be booking this again.
