We had another great time at Brunel Holiday Park, staying in Carriage 3 this round. The welcome pack was a nice touch and the carriage was spotless when we arrived. The beds were super comfy and we loved having all the kitchen facilities we needed. The water in the shower was consistently hot, which is always a bonus. It’s always a pleasure catching up with Josh. Looking forward to Christmas already!

We had a lovely stay at Brunel Boutique Holiday Park this October. Staying as a family of four with kids aged 8 and 5 was fantastic. The train carriage accommodation was charming and very clean and honestly, the noise from the Trainline just added to the fun-made it super memorable! The staff on site were friendly and really helpful. Plus, the location was spot on. We’re already planning to return and would definitely recommend it to others looking for something a bit different!

We stayed in the carriage for a week and overall, it was a pretty decent spot. The place was well stocked and a good size, making it a comfy base. Beds were really comfy and we appreciated the tea bags and washing up stuff included. It’s super close to the beach, snack shops and the train station, which was handy, but the noise from the fast trains early in the morning was a bit annoying. Also, one of the beds had some sand on it when we arrived, though everything else was clean. The only downside was there was no WiFi, even though it was listed and mobile signal was pretty rubbish on site. Still, a nice little getaway!

We had a lovely weekend at this place with the family. It’s really charming, though a bit more storage would’ve been handy and an extra shower would’ve made mornings smoother for six of us. Still, we loved watching all the passing trains!

We chose Brunel Boutique Holiday Park mainly because of the quirky idea of staying in a train carriage and honestly, it didn’t disappoint! The space inside was surprisingly generous - two bathrooms and plenty of room around the beds, which is a big plus compared to the caravans and lodges we’ve stayed in before. The location is super handy too; you’re close to some great places to eat, the beach and the fair, so plenty to do without travelling far. That said, it’s not exactly peaceful - you’re right next to the train track and trains whizz past from dawn to late evening. We actually enjoyed the train noise as part of the experience, but if you’re after absolute quiet, it might not be for you. The fair is nearby as well and you can hear the screams from the rides until they shut down after 9 pm, which added to the lively vibe. Our main gripe? Just a few weeks before our visit, we found out there was no longer WiFi on-site. We’d booked expecting it, as it was listed as an amenity and it’s pretty essential for us to check the weather, look up activities, or just stay connected. No explanation was given for the change and no compensation offered, which was a bit disappointing. Still, overall it was a fun stay!

Perfectly located near the beach, pubs, takeaways and a supermarket all within walking distance. The site was clean, pretty and clearly well looked after. Highly recommend!

We had such a lovely stay in Carriage 2! The location is spot on - everything we needed was just a short walk away. The kids were totally captivated by sleeping in a train and watching trains zoom past the windows. Definitely a place to revisit!

The thing to remember is that a trackside cabin really is just that - trains go by pretty close and often fast. Only stay if you're into trains! We really enjoyed it, though and after a while you stop noticing the noise. After midnight, it’s quite peaceful really.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic, with stunning sea views and the railway line just a short walk away, which added some charm. The main bedroom bed was a bit low for our liking and the foam mattress got quite warm overnight, but overall, the place had some lovely details, like the mirrors - though they were a bit over the top in size! Still, it’s a great spot for train lovers and those who appreciate a good view.

This place is just lovely! The carriage is super clean, bright and comfy - everything you’d want for a stay. The staff are really friendly and helpful too. The grounds are well looked after and those little touches on arrival are nice. We loved watching the trains go by from the window. Perfect spot for walks to the beach and a quick cycle to Sainsbury’s. Our kids had a fab week!

We had a really lovely stay! The carriage was bright, clean and super comfy, with all the essentials. The grounds were well maintained and there were some charming little touches that made us feel welcome. Kids loved watching the trains from the window and it’s a perfect spot for walks to the beach or a quick cycle to Sainsbury’s. We’d definitely go back!

We really enjoyed our stay at this quirky little spot. The furniture inside the carriages was lovely and the beds were super comfy. The bathroom and shower were a decent size, which was a bonus. The kitchen had everything you could need and the underfloor heating was a nice touch. The welcome pack with bread, cheese and wine was a lovely surprise. We’d definitely come back, though it’s a bit pricey for what you get.
Emma, Hucknall Nottingham
Absolutely loved our trip! Can’t wait to go back in November, it’s going to be brilliant.
Jess, Holmfirth
Really enjoyed the break, it was quite a change for us.

Had a great week staff very friendly and helpful. Main railway line is very close with trains passing at 80MPH. If you like trains you will lovely this place. Accommodation was great and very clean.

Thoroughly enjoyed by all participants , the park was tidy and the caretaker was always helpful and polite, willing to go beyond remit .

We had a fantastic holiday here at the end of April - The accommodation was well planned and comfortable. We didn't expect a basket of essential needs in the kitchen but was very pleased to have them. The beds were comfortable and the decor (curtains etc) very pleasing. The pleasant young man in charge was most helpful and we would love to have another holiday here. It was great to watch the trains passing the windows. and the views. It has taken a long time to leave these comments as I missed the email due to other commitments. We had a slight problem with opening the 'front' door but it didn't interfere with our enjoyment
Heidi
Spent a fabulous week in carriage 5. The accommodation was clean and well laid out, with plenty of space for the 5 of us. We were welcomed with some grocery basics bread, crackers, cheese, bottle of wine. milk, tea and coffee. This was a nice touch. The views of Dawlish Warren were fabulous from the carriage and so easy to access the bus and train, just a short walk away. The walk along the front into Dawlish didn’t disappoint either. Of course the main train line is outside your window but added to the holiday for us. It was quite strange not hearing them on our return back home. Josh the on site caretaker was friendly and helpful. Thelma the cat needs a mention too, she keeps a close eye on what’s going on around the place. Would highly recommend and hope to visit again. ?

Excellent location.

This is a quirky place to stay. Everything has been thought out well with a well equipped kitchen with a lovely welcome pack, wonderful shower and comfortable bed. It is well situated with the beach, takeaways, pubs and supermarket all within walking distance. The site is clean and pretty and well cared for - I would highly recommend ?
Amanda
Lovely holiday place been to Dawlish Warren many times second time staying at Brunel and what a difference been lovingly restored. There is also a laundry room you can use handy if you have small children. Lovely beach, fun fair, crazy golf and go carts all on the large green area that the kids love to run about on. Lots of bars and a few shops in the village but the train station is easy access and you can get anywhere up and down the coast if you want a day out, Torquay, Paignton etc.
Cherilyn
We loved our break! Quirky accommodation trains go by right next to the carriage which I felt added to the unique stay. My children enjoyed playing outside the layout made this safe. Kitchen was very well stocked plenty of equipment. Great lay out of coach my aunt and mum had own loo and bedroom whilst the family were at the other end. Lovely and clean and alot of little touches washing liquid, bread, cleaning spray. Beach short walk, fun fair, shops. Everyone super friendly happy to have a chat and ready to help, lovely family vibe. Carriage 5

Had a fantastic short holiday here. Carriage very well-equipped and spacious. Two bathrooms, plenty of hot water and nice and clean. Great location, with loads on the doorstep. Great to be right next to the railway. Passing trains did wake me a couple of times a night but for me, worth it to be so close to the line and beach. All in all, memorable holiday and great location.
Peter
It is in a great location, close to all the amenities and beach. The carriage was clean and tidy, well stocked and the welcome gifts were a treat.
Linda
Quirky accommodation, literally trackside, at the seaside - what’s not to love! We had a wonderful time.
Jessica
We had a fantastic time. The train was lovely. The surroundings tidy. Our children loved watching trains past the window. We arrived to some bread, crackers, biscuits cheese, milk and wine. We would definitely recommend and would definitely book in the future
