What a fabulous spot ! lovely friendly welcome. We had a three bed cabin with a hot tub. Parking right outside. Lots and lots of friendly (but slightly noisy) peacocks / peahens - added a lot of colour and interest. The exterior of the cabin was in need of some TLC and repair, but the interior and all the equipment was in really good condition and of a good standard. There was a nice little welcome pack for us (and a dog!). The hot tub was surprisingly hot and and powerful and was checked / tested each day by a nice young man. We had dinner one evening at the restaurant - decent food and drink in lovely setting. Only downside was that they closed a bit early ! I had a bit of a walk around the woods which was lovely. We're not massive greeny recyclers, but I was expecting some separate bins for cans / bottles / plastics. We'd happily come back, a great base for exploring South Lakeland and a relaxing place to be.

The description of the Lodge could be more comprehensive. Nothing mentioned a downstairs toilet or hairdryers provided. Some aspects of the Lodge are showing their age, eg. Outdoor seating and ill fitted carpets. Overall we enjoyed the stay, and may well stay there again

Stayed in one of the dog friendly lodges, so didn’t expect luxury. Is clean, beds are comfy. Came stocked with some essentials like washing up liquid, tea, coffee, milk and loo roll. Hot tub hadn’t heated up come the morning but called reception and they came and sorted it straight away. Lovely little walk in the woods and into the field for the dogs.In easy reach of other places around. We visited Windermere, Kendal, Ravenglass railway and also Millom. Would go back.

Lodge was comfortable and clean. It is a cost cabin so slightly tight, but spending time outside in hot tub or al fresco meals on the decking didn’t make the inside space that much of an issue.

The lodge was lovely and clean. It was very warm inside, i had to turn the heaters off in the bedroom but left on in the lounge. The beds were really comfy and cozy. The decor was beautiful in the bedrooms. The bathroom was spacious and had lovely touches of little shampoo and shower gel bottles and a little soap plus a toilet roll which I wasn't expecting. Inside the fridge was a bottle of water and a pint of milk. There was also coffee, tea and biscuits samples, a very nice touch.I would definitely stay in this lodge again.

Best location on the site in our view, with superb views to the sea and surrounded by trees. The lodge is stylishly designed and well equipped, with the added attraction of an enormous hot tub! What's not to like?

Very warm and cozy lodge, extra large towels for hot tub, fabulous decking with added security of a gate to stop your dogs escaping, this was a relief, hot tub very hot ???? so staff adjusted temperature. Fabulous maintained grounds, plenty of of lovely peacocks ???? roaming around which added to the beauty of the site, bar and steak ???? house on site , woodland walks what more could you ask for!! Certainly am going back for longer soon x

Lovely comfortable lodge, well equipped and very clean. Loved the little touches, a pint of milk in the fridge and a coffee machine with pods for when we arrived. Some parts looked a little worn (corners of some carpets & table legs) but not obvious unless you're looking for lost little toys under beds & sofas. Hot tub was lovely.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Perfect spot for peace and quiet and the hot tub was a real treat. Owners were super friendly and respectful.

Nice big lodge with a lovely view across the valley. Plenty of utensils etc, hot tub was a good size but in need of a lid bar to make it easier to put the lid back on and the jets could be better. All showers were good and the place was immaculate when we got there. Would Definitely stay in viken lodge again in the future

We had a lovely stay at Viken Lodge! The view over the valley was stunning and the lodge was spotlessly clean when we arrived. It’s well-equipped with all the utensils you’d need. The hot tub was a decent size, though a lid bar would’ve made handling the lid a lot easier and the jets could be a bit stronger. We’d definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our stay! The lodges are cosy and the hot tub and sauna were lovely treats. Some areas looked a bit worn out, but it didn’t ruin our trip. Comfortable beds and quality linens made it even better. Two bathrooms are definitely a plus!

Lovely lodges with hot tub and sauna. Bit tired in areas but didn't deter our enjoyment. Beds very comfortable, very good quality bedding and towels. Two bathrooms a bonus. All facilities you need. No washing machine but not a negative for us.

Parking could do with extra gravel, plus some of the white goods are quite tired.

Had a brilliant time and the accommodation was just the right size for a family of 3 and a dog. The only downside was the lack of fridge and freezer space in the lodge. Location was fantastic, local beaches not too far away and the food at the restaurant was really Nice and the staff were nothing but helpful and friendly. Would definitely visit again :-)
Wayne
Great views around the area. Staff were always polite and helpful.

Spent a weekend here with my family, including my 20 month old little boy and 2 dogs. Slightly out of the way but a lovely drive to the beach if you want to explore. Cabins clean tidy and cosy, my little boy loved seeing the peacocks roaming. The shop on-site had all the essentials, the restaurant food was lovely and staff really friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time
Claire
Lovely big lodge with plenty of room for the family with everything you need. Friendly staff and lovely wee pub/restaurant. Only downside is could do with a better park for the children. But overall had a lovely stay.

Just back from a week's stay at the beautiful Brockwood hall. Loved it. Location is perfect, beautiful views and walks, our toddler and dog both had a great time. The lodges are lovely, hot tubs great, the on site pub and shop brilliant and staff so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back
Gail
Stayed here for 3 days, was just beautiful. The lodge itself was lovely and clean, the beds were mega comfy. Kids and our dog were very happy. Lots to do around the area and Windermere lake is a must to go and visit for the day. Definitely be back soon
Leanne
Lovely stay We have been before so knew what to expect and it didn’t let us down we will return again Thanks
Scott
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brockwood Hall and would definitely return. The location was exceptional. The on site facilities were great especially the hot tub at the lodge. I know that they are opening a new leisure centre in 2023, which will be a welcome addition. The Peacocks in the grounds added a special touch. The woodland walks were great for the dogs too. Highly recommend this location for a family holiday where dogs are welcome.
Christopher
Brockwood hall really nice, just don't go to millom, nothing there.
Jane Anne
Had a great stay only down side noisy neighbours with barking dogs
Kim
