This is one place ( if i could afford it ) i would retire here one of the best caravan parks we have been on, the staff are very friendly and helpful, so mr lottery give me a winner please.

we have been to cockerham for the last 7yrs for a week in september, we love the peace and quiet in september we also nearly always have good weather then. the staff are great and freindly, and also walking to cockerham and glasson you can get realy good pub meals. cant wait to go back in september "TRANQUILITY AT ITS BEST" see you all soon, and the dog she loves the beach and walks

If you want tranquility with lovely views, lovely caravans and friendly staff this is the site for you. Our children aged 8 and 14 also liked the outdoor pool, we will be visiting again.

Spacious for a caravan.

It was a comfortable caravan but the ensuite toilet failed to work on three occasions and the attempted repair was unsuccessful

Caravan was not cleaned properly on arrival. Radiator in bathroom very rusty .Kitchen equipment poor.

A really nice caravan but so close to others and parking is tight to get into and out of. Value for money was poor , very overpriced for what it is and useable facilities on site

Caravan was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The site was lovely and quiet and peaceful at night.

We had an amazing time at Goddards Mead. The cottage was perfect in every aspect. Can't wait to return!

We had a really lovely time! Sharon and Robert were fantastic hosts, making us feel very at home from the start. The place was spotlessly clean, comfy and perfect for Archie, our dog, with good security too. The location was just right-lots of scenic walks and charming villages like Thaxted nearby. Honestly, we left feeling refreshed and relaxed, so it was just what we needed!

We had a lovely time staying here! Sharon and Robert were really welcoming hosts, making us feel right at home. The place was spotless, comfy and perfect for our dog Archie - we felt secure and relaxed. The location was spot on, with lots of nice walks nearby and Thaxted and the surrounding villages are just charming. Definitely a much-needed break, we left feeling refreshed and happy! Would recommend.

My holiday was OK because I had a car.

We stayed at Goddard's Mead recently and honestly, Rob and Sharon did such a lovely job transforming this historic spot. They gave us a warm welcome and Bonnie was adorable too. The place has everything for a chill, comfy stay. The locations perfect - right in the heart of Essex. We took some time to explore Thaxted and nearby villages, which are full of charm and history. Definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway!

We had a lovely stay! The owners were so welcoming and helpful, especially when the storm knocked out the power. The place was spotless, warm and well-equipped. Our dog loved the secure garden and we enjoyed the hot tub too!

We had an amazing stay at this cosy little cottage. Its tucked away just enough for peace but still close to shops and stuff. The hot tub was a highlight and the underfloor heating made everything super comfy. Rob & Sharon are lovely hosts. Cant wait to return!

The place itself is really cosy, with a strong shower and a comfortable bed that made us feel right at home. Parking right next to the cottage was super convenient and it was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed nice walks through the fields to Thaxted and exploring the nearby village with its pretty half-timbered houses and windmill. Definitely recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The place is tucked away in such a peaceful, private spot, yet the owners are really friendly and always ready to help if needed. The hot tub was a real treat after a day cycling around. Only thing to note is that its right under Stansteds flight path, so theres quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didnt bother us after a while, but if you're sensitive to noise, its worth keeping in mind. Overall, a lovely spot-would definitely come back!

Fantastic weekend. Check in from 4pm on Saturday but got contacted 2 days before and where able to check in from 9am.

Cracking park , outdoor pool games room pool, snooker, darts . Food reasonable friendly staff. Tucked away a bit but a good base for Blackpool, Morombe etc .

Absolutely love cockerham sands. Great walks great views. It’s a quiet site but everything you need is there. It is in middle of nowhere so a car is necessary if you want to venture out ?

Caravan very clean & well furnished. We had a very good weekend. We have been a few times & will be back soon.

Caravan was great and site had good facilities. Pool was great but could have been a bit warmer for the little ones.
We were told we could check in at 3pm but when we arrived at 3:10 the caravan wasn’t ready until 3:45, member of staff behind reception wasn’t very helpful and a little abrupt.
Overall we had a great holiday, entertainment at night was great and we enjoyed days out to morecambe, Lakeland maize farm and Blackpool.

Black bags in the caravan would be useful and towels would save on the packing. Don’t forget to bring towels as no where to buy any. The shop is very reasonable and very helpful staff.
