We really enjoyed our stay here! It was perfect for our weekend trip and we felt right at home. The underfloor heating was a hit with our dogs-they couldn’t get enough of it and the garden kept them entertained for ages. Luna even came home with a strained tail from all the wagging! Definitely planning to come back soon!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The apartments are beautifully furnished and the views are stunning, especially with the hot tubs that are all yours for private use - such a nice touch. The site itself is quite small but offers plenty to do, plus some lovely walks nearby. The bar was only open a few hours, which makes sense given it’s low season, so no worries there. A couple of things we’d suggest: adding a mattress protector for extra comfort and maybe some privacy screening between the hot tubs. We get they want to keep the views open, but a little bamboo fence or foliage could make a big difference when everyone’s soaking at the same time. Overall, a lovely peaceful spot with just a few tweaks needed!

Being near the flight path didn’t bother us at all-honestly, it didn’t disturb our sleep. Perfect spot for dogs who hate fireworks, since it’s so remote. Thanks a lot!

From the moment we arrived, Rob & Sharon made us feel really welcome and Bonnie was lovely too. They’ve done a fantastic job converting this old building while keeping its charm. Goddard's Mead is perfect if you're after a cosy, relaxing stay. The location is great - plenty to explore in Essex, especially Thaxted and the surrounding villages with their rich history and pretty buildings. We’d definitely recommend it for a peaceful getaway!

We had a lovely stay in this charming place, nestled in a really peaceful and private spot. The owners were super friendly and always there if we needed anything, but it still felt quite secluded. The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day of cycling - such a treat! The only thing to note is that it’s directly under Stansted’s flight path, so there’s quite a bit of aircraft noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didn’t ruin our break at all. Would definitely recommend!

We had a great stay at this lovely cottage, tucked away on a working farm but still feeling very private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely and welcoming. The place itself is huge, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed that we didn’t want to leave. The garden is perfect for dogs-completely secluded and nicely furnished. There are plenty of walks nearby and we enjoyed visiting Thaxted; The Star and The Maypole are well worth a visit. We’d definitely recommend it!
