fantastic holiday park , very friendly locals , great for children , have been goin to this holiday park since i was 13 and am planining on takeing my children this year , fantastic 5 star without second thought

Slight issue with one window which seemed to be broken at hinge but was secure and one knob on the cooker didn't work. Whilst in the bar after a meal on the Thursday night and when there were around 10 or so customers bar staff called last orders at 9:15 and although they informed everyone that the entertainment bar was still open we felt that the bar should have remained open a little while longer. Entertainment bar is not for everyone as sometimes people just want to sit and enjoy a quiet drink.

I never ate at the restaurant but we did use the chip shop for a portion of chips, which were raw in the middle. The caravan didn’t have a blind in the bathroom which was awkward, the shower was stuck on really hot or scolding. The heating boost wouldn’t work either I tried to use this because we didn’t have a drying rail.

Furniture was quite grubby, carpet covered in stains. Could do with seeing a carpet and upholstery clean. Sofa sunk in the middle, so no-one could sit there.

The caravan itself was very spacious and had all the basic equipment you would need for cooking and eating in van. Van was very clean and the only negative we would raise concerned the quilt on the double bed. It barely reached edge to edge of mattress, there wasn't any for covering your side so we ended up taking the two single quilts from spare room through and using them. That was ok seeing as it was only myself and my husband there but if we had taken anyone with us it would have been been more of a problem. Overall very happy with holiday and will definitely return.

Lorne caravan right on seafront just a wonderful location. Beautiful beach . Weather very good. Our whole experience here was good including the friendly staff.

The caravan was excellent for the price with amazing views of the beach. Only negative, which is no fault of Grannies is the reception for the tv meant we couldn't watch it all week and there was no dvd player as alternative.

Went with my 5 and 6 years old for a long weekend Friday to Monday. Couldnt get a space for swimming the whole weekend as it was fully booked all weekend with a list of people waiting on any cancellations. Staff said people normally book swimming 6 weeks prior to arriving or when they book thier holiday. Needless to say my kids were very disappointed. So not much to do on site during the day (especially when raining) as the site relys on the beech as entertainment during the day or its small park or well dated plastic crazy golf course. Food is good but over priced aswell. Really wasnt our best experience infact pretty dissapponting. Is a good pit stop for the night if your doing the north coast 500 but not for any length of time especially with young kids. Dont make this resort a last minute decision based on it has a heated pool an so as you and your kids will be sorely disappointed because your really do have to book activities 6 weeks in advance

The caravan was great, well equipped and very clean. Everything worked.
We needed the heating in the evening, but it got warm very quickly.
Sat out on the decking reading one afternoon.
It was just perfect.

We will be returning to this holiday park as we had such a wonderful holiday and had plenty to do, and lots to see at this excellent park.

Excellent caravan. Very spacious. Shame that TV was in need of a little attention.

No frying pan to make bacon and eggs in morning to go with scotch potato scones

Great weekend away; very relaxing.

Unfortunately due to COVID 19 we could not experience the restaurant food however did not spoil our holiday.

Fantastic time was had. Grannies Heilan Hame is a must! Definitely be back.

Caravan is in a lovely location at the beach front but is looking a little tired interior-wise. Drawers in main bedroom were needing fixed and wallpaper had a few tears. Price needing reduced to reflect that . Also dislike the complete lack of provisions in the way of cloths, washing-up liquid etc. Caravan is priced at similar rate to lodges we used in Lake District which had absolutely everything you need. Lomond contained 4 toilet rolls and 1 bin bag.

Great time - lovely area.

Lovely comfortable accommodation. Everything needed was there.Did not use entertainment facilities as we were happy just walking round beaches etc. with our dog. Did use laundry room. Thoroughly relaxing time.

The double bedroom had so little space (maximum 12") beside the bed that I was opening the curtains with my behind as I tried to get into bed. There was a very unwelcome smell from the sink area in the kitchen which even bleach did nothing to dispel. Apart from those two problems, it was a great space in a great location and we really enjoyed it. We plan to return, at which time we will be looking for a 2-bedroom caravan, which we expect to solve the space problem in the double bedroom.

All was good apart from the food

Comfortable accommodation toilet smelled of urine permanently, okay if you left window open

Had a good break and the no contact handover was excellent

Had a lovely time with family, lots to do for children and family entertainment at night. Set in a beautiful location.

The caravan had everything we needed, including a washing machine which is not essential but having 3 young grandkids it was very useful, it was clean & comfortable, we all had a fantastic time, close to the beach, the kids had a great time.

Great beach location lots going on for children and bars for adults well stocked shop and overall great holiday

Gorgeous location, very clean caravan. Well stocked shop and a good choice food at the on-site pub. The one downside for us was the “dog friendly” pub. If you wanted to take your dog into the pub you had to sit in what was ultimately a corridor closed off from the rest of the pub, we felt very unwelcome with out dog because of this.

Excellent weekend away - caravan and site were great.

The only let down was the fish and chip shop, was rather expensive for frozen chips and the batter on the sausage was burnt
