Maesmawr Farm Resort - Reviews

It was just what we wanted.

We loved how quite the site was,we would come again but I wouldmake sure we had a different lodge

Just had a lovely short break in a Studio Pod. Small but very well equipped and plenty of room for the 3 of us plus dog. The hot tub was a treat. Decking area was gated which meant we could let our dog roam freely without worry that she could escape.

We had a really nice weekend staying here. Definitely planning to return later this year!

Really enjoyed the experience, can't wait again!

Honestly, everything about our stay was just perfect. The hosts really went above and beyond, making us feel so welcome. The location is stunning and the accommodation was spot on. Were already planning our next visit!

Great stay, would highly recommend it.

Really enjoyed our stay, the place was calm, perfect for a break and dog-friendly too!

Absolutely loved our stay here! The whole holiday was unforgettable, would definitely return.

Nice and relaxing, just what we needed after covid.

We had an absolutely fantastic time! The caravan was spotless and really well equipped, making our stay super comfortable. Redstart 34 is truly a lovely place to relax.

The place had some decent ideas, but it really needs more storage options - maybe hooks for coats? The settee wasnt very comfy either, but honestly, it didnt ruin the break. Wed come back for sure!

We had a lovely time exploring the fields with the dogs, it was such a relaxing day.

Really enjoyed our time here. The place was spotless, fully equipped and that hot tub was a highlight!

We had a lovely stay at this lodge. The private hot tub was fantastic, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the area. The location is really nice and the customer service was top-notch, especially that surprise treat basket on arrival! Only thing missing was a thermostat, but adjusting the boiler worked fine. Definitely a great weekend spot!

Absolutely loved it, well definitely be back soon!

We had a fantastic stay at this cosy cottage! The place was spotless and so well stocked, it really felt like a home away from home. The dog walks right outside were perfect for our pups and meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was such a treat. The host was lovely, super helpful and quick to reply. Were definitely coming back, great value for money!

We spent a week here in mid-July with our two tiny dachshunds and honestly, the dogs loved it! They made loads of new friends in the charming village of Thaxted. The cottage itself is really lovely and the hot tub was a real highlight-especially with the crazy heatwave, cooling down in it was perfect. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel right at home. It was nice to see their horses being taken out to the fields daily. Sure, it's near Stansteds flight path, but honestly, watching the planes land was pretty cool. Would definitely recommend!

We really wish there was a canopy or umbrella over the hottub. The rain was relentless and made it impossible to enjoy it most of the weekend. Just a bit of overhead cover would have totally changed the experience for us!

We loved the lodge! Everything was spot on, comfy, spotless and the welcome hamper was a lovely touch. Brilliant stay!

We had a fantastic time in the Safari tent! The hot tub was a real highlight and the quirky decor added charm. Only wish it was nearer the coast. Overall, brilliant stay!

Lovely lodge, everything we needed was there. Hot tub was well kept. Perfect chillout spot!

We stayed in a safari tent thinking it would be pretty basic, but honestly, it felt more like a cosy lodge under canvas. Theres plenty of space inside, comfy beds including a four-poster and a really nice big bathroom. Id rate it a 9 because it couldve used some extra bits like a frying pan or some basic kitchenware, but overall, it was spot on. The hot tub was a real highlight too! Our pitch was at the edge of the site, so we didnt explore much further, but the maintenance guy was super friendly and gave us great tips on where to eat-definitely recommend!

Really enjoyed our stay, the cottage had everything needed!

We really enjoyed our stay. The tent was super cosy and kept warm with all the appliances provided. One thing to mention is that one of the beds is up a ladder, so it might be good to highlight that when advertising. Also, drying towels was a bit tricky without a rail, so adding one could help. But honestly, these are small things - overall, it was great and wed definitely come back!

The lodge was pretty well kitted out, though theres some wear and tear, which is understandable. It didnt spoil the stay at all. Staff were lovely and always checking the hot tub daily. Weve already booked again for next year!

We really enjoyed our stay at Goddard Mead! The cottage had everything we needed and the walks right outside were perfect. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel so welcome. Lovely experience!

Really loved our stay, everything was spot on!

We had such a lovely stay at the cottage! The location is perfect-serene, peaceful and surrounded by stunning farml and. We even got to see the horses which was a lovely touch. The owners were super friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. Definitely a spot well return to!

Stunning location, beautiful accommodation.

staff are great. Super helpful and friendly. The grounds are very well kept and clean. We noticed what looked like an expansion of the farm, cannot wait to see how Marsmawr Farm will look in the future, its a beautiful place! Would highly recommend ?

Amazing location, very peaceful and relaxing. The break was for myself and 2 teenage daughters. We had such a lovely few days they didn’t want to come home. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They also went above and beyond for us. We stupidly left a bag at the local train station. I wasn’t convinced from the train conductor we would get it back. I contacted Maesmawr and they kindly picked it up for us.
Definitely will return to this place. The hot tub was a huge hit and the pod was very comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful break.

Had a lovley time nice and peaceful calm holiday just what we needed, the hot tub was absolutely fabulous was in there every day. The staff were lovley and helpful and a lovley basket of goodies were left for us, if ur looking for a peaceful holiday this is the holiday for you. The lodges are beautiful and clean with everything we needed ?x

Excellent clean lodge, has everything you need inside including a fan which is always essential. Secure for the dog, modern style it’s like home from home quality wise. Bathrooms are very nice designed. Close to Shewsbury only an hour away, we went there a few days it’s lovely. Plenty of restaurants allow dogs.

It's an amazing site set in superb countryside. The site is modern, well maintained with friendly staff.
It's an ideal site to recharge your batteries, switch off an explore Wales.
The lodges are modern, well equipped and the hot tubs are ideal for unwinding and sitting in enjoying the sunset. It's value for money and already booked for next year.

Unreal place. Stayed here for a weekend. So relaxing. The lodge provides you with everything you need. Everything is spotless. Hot tub was lush. Highly recommend

Can’t fault the holiday, wonderful place to visit with friends. Surroundings were stunning and local amenities were fine. Avoid the chippy though, chips were foul, the wait was ridiculous and they missed one of our battered sausages off the order!

One of the best holidays we have had, loads of towns and nearby places to explore. The park was peaceful and the accomodation wad amazing

We had a really lovely time the lodge was stunning clean and modern lovely and peaceful setting everything you needed was there I would definitely return

Loved this place, so relaxing. Easy check in/ out. Studio pod was amazing, and the hot tub was a bonus. We will deff be back again soon.

Due to unforeseen circumstances arrived a day later. On entering accommodation dirty laundry left just inside the door reception called and was removed virtually straight away. Noticed not enough towels for amount of people staying called reception again for another set. Had to ask again mid week they were then brought over.
Hot tub lovely, big and deep abit too much chlorine in though.
Accommodation was lovely tv in each room, couldn't fault it. Lovely quiet site and surroundings. All my family enjoyed themselves eespecially my whippet
Would definitely book again.
