Great hot tub, well looked after, we loved it!

We booked the Willow Lodge during Storm Burt, so the weather was pretty dreadful. Thankfully, the place was spacious, modern and spotless. The hot tub was a real highlight-super clean and well-maintained. We appreciated the daily visits from staff to check everything was in order. Looking forward to coming back when the weather’s better!

The lodge was really lovely, with a super comfy bed and all the essentials like a well-stocked kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher and even a coffee machine. Loved it!

Charming stay

We stayed at the lodge and honestly, it was spotlessly clean and really spacious. Everything was functional and they even left some nice little extras for us. Lovely stay!

Comfortable and well-located stay

We stayed at this beautiful lodge and loved how spotless it was. The grounds are kept pristine, with groundsmen always making sure everything looks perfect. The hot tub was checked daily, which was great. It’s the only dog-friendly place we’ve found that doesn’t show signs of dogs having stayed before - nice touch! Delk, the site warden, was super friendly and really helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The location is easy to find since it’s just off the A38, but that also means you hear some road noise. Still, we’d definitely recommend it!

The oven kept causing our electricity to trip every time we used it, really frustrating!

We had such a lovely stay! The owners are genuinely warm and really considerate, making everything feel so welcoming. The cottage itself is adorable, with charming half-timbered features and a cosy vibe. The shower is powerful, which was a nice surprise and the beds are super comfy. Parking right outside was really convenient. It’s well-heated, spotless and perfect for exploring-great walks across the fields to Thaxted and easy trips to nearby sights. We’d definitely come back!

It’s a peaceful spot with everything you need for a comfy, relaxing break. Highly recommend if you’re after a cosy getaway!

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy place tucked away in a peaceful spot. The hosts were really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed without intruding on our privacy. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day cycling around the area. Just a heads up, the cottage is quite close to Stansted’s flight path, so there’s quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didn’t bother us too much once we got used to it, but it’s worth mentioning if you’re sensitive to noise. Overall, a great little find!
