Lovely little cozy cabin with quirky bed - if you have mobility problems this might be a slight issue as it is high but once in really comfortable. Lovely quality soft furnishings and denby pottery crockery .

Excellent accommodation in a very quiet location. A perfect base, which allows easy access to all the local seaside resorts. The hot tub was perfect. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Really lovely cosy cottage with everything there that you need. Ideal for a weekend away. Site is in a quiet location and has a lovely cafe bar which serves lovely food.

The cottage was super! We were the first couple to use it and all the fittings and fixtures were as new. The design of the cottage was both modern and very attractive and the addition of a hot tub was the icing on the cake. The site was delightful and close to many attractions. We had meals and drinks in the on site bar/restaurant and we were always amazed at the quality. We met many of the staff and everyone of them were pleasant and helpful. We will certainly go again.

Waterlily Cottage was spotlessly clean and the staff on site made sure everything was as should be. Great with the hot tub and dog friendly, ideal for the 2 of us and the dog.

This is not a criticism only some feedback, it would be good if there was somewhere to hang coats downstairs and maybe a footwear tray at the door to keep the place clean especially when the weather is bad and footwear is muddy.

Brilliant & cosy cottage far enough out the way to be secluded but close enough to local amenities. Amazing hotub & bathroom with underfloor heating throughout tops it off. The owners, Rob & Sharon are wonderful! (And of course Bonnie) Will definitely be coming back again for longer ASAP!!

It was everything we wanted for our weekend away and we loved staying here. We'll definitely be back! Our pups absolutely loved the underfloor heating and had so much fun in the garden. In fact Luna came home with a strained tail and according to the vet it was because she was wagging it so much over the weekend!! Very happy pups and hoomans!

Absolutely loved how well maintained and equipped this cottage is. Plenty of dog walks right on the doorstep. Very friendly host, they were so efficient and communication was excellent. Such a lovely place to stay in a really beautiful, private location. The owners were really friendly and helpful, nearby if needed but without breaking that sense of privacy. The hot tub was perfect after a day of cycling! One thing to be aware of, the cottage is right under Stansted's flight path, and so there's a lot of aircraft noise. The lovely cottage is situated on a working farm, but is very private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are delightful. The cottage is very spacious with good equipment in the kitchen and the bathroom. Stayed here for a week from 15 to 22 July with our 2 mini daschund girls who thoroughly enjoyed there stay making new friends in the village of thaxted. Lovely cottage with excellent facilities, helpful staff on site and good local amenities, as an elderly couple with a small dog we found everything accessible, one suggestion for the shower/bath would be a non slip bath mat also a small table would be a good addition as we used the small outside table. The Hide cafe/bar on site is definitely worth a visit especially for Sunday lunch 5*(book a table) we also had a extremely good take away from there, overall highly recommend

Very clean, modern and spacious. Fully equipped and welcome package for me and the dogs. Hot tub great and enclosed. A great location and able to visit Skegness and Mablethorpe with ease. Wish I would have stayed longer.

Loved our stay at Red Robin 2, lots of room inside, a small outside area, but lovely hot tub! We had drinks in the Hide and an excellent Sunday Lunch there. Close to the coast.

We didn’t know what to expect when arriving at Herons Mead. You see pictures and comments but until you arrive you are never sure. Well I can say without any shadow of doubt that this is a superb cottage and venue. Everything was first class, so clean, equipped to the highest order. The site was really beautiful, with ducks and geese as residents ? the restaurant/ bar also was first class. The meals were excellent and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Finally the hot tub was a very welcome addition. As you can see we were more than happy at what was on offer at Herons Mead. Will be back next year, just got to decide which week.

Staff were lovely although, on Sunday we went to have just a few drinks as it was my birthday on the Monday but unfortunately she said they weren't allowed to serve just two people, alittle disappointed by that as in the visits book guest wrote that the staff couldn't do enough for them, even if we were to take the drinks back to the cottage with us, but I guess rules or rules.
