Visitor Reviews of Skegness Fields

Date of stay: 3rd September 2025
The caravan wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. Floor had bits on everywhere. Some of the dishes were not clean and were put back in the cupboards soaking wet. The bed was also very very soft. Felt like a camp bed.

The platinum caravan 6 was very spacious and perfect for a family of 5.If I had to be picky, it would be beneficial if a hair dryer was added to the main bedroom, as there is an impressive dressing table in there.

The whole site was fantastic. Very quiet and relaxing. The park on site was great for all ages and we had children aged 3,6 and 12. The caravan was spotless and had everything in that was needed. One thing I would add to make it even better would be to have privacy screens around the hot tub area. The hot tub was great and checked every day or two which was fantastic. A great overall experience and would definitely recommend it to others. Thank you

WE had disabled unit which is brilliant for us and also wheelchair users. Wide sliding doors inside the van, lowered units etc. Only problem no toaster in the vans which was sorely missed.

Any issues that we had with the accommodation were swiftly resolved which just makes it such a stress free process. The only thing I would mention is that the fabric sofa did have a smell to it and it could have been more thoroughly cleaned. More could have been done about dust webs both inside and outside and more comfy beds could be provided to give an even better experience. Other than that, we would stay again and would recommend to friends.

Platinum caravan 125, with hot tub. Spotless and clean, milk in fridge, tea and coffee, washing up bits. Well maintained lodge and hot tub. Quite, peaceful location, bus ride/ walking distance into Skegness. Alot of thought has gone into the settings, all lodges and caravans have sun on the veranda. Hot tub was lovely and clean and maintained daily.

As mentioned earlier on arrival we had to clean the surfaces, table , kitchen and the dishwasher which also had food waste in the bottom, this is the only thing that let the lodge down

We recently stayed in one of the pet-friendly platinum lodges with a hottub and overall, I’d say it’s a solid 4 out of 5. The lodge was spacious and modern, which we liked and the location was peaceful and well-kept. The site itself felt really quiet and tidy-exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. However, there were a few little issues. The cleanliness wasn’t perfect; the fridge hadn’t been wiped down and the mattress protector was a bit grubby. The hottub was a bit of a letdown the first day because it wasn’t hot enough to use, though I understand it takes time to warm up. Still, considering check-in was from 2 pm, we expected to enjoy it that evening. On the plus side, any problems we had-like the front door or oven-were sorted promptly, which was great. The walkable pub and shop are a bonus and Skegness is just a short drive away. If they added a TV in the bedroom and pre-warmed the hottub, it’d be perfect. We’d definitely come back!

The lodge was absolutely gorgeous, super clean and had that cosy, home-from-home vibe. We’ll definitely be back soon!

We stayed in a platinum pet friendly lodge with hottub and overall I'd give a 4/5.The lodge itself was modern and big, cleanliness wasn't great - fridge hadn't been cleaned, mattress protector dirty. The hottub wasn't useable the first day, I understand this has to warm up from previous empty and clean but when you can check in from 2 we would expect to use the hot tub that evening at least. The site itself is lovely, clean and quiet which for us was great. We had an issue with the front door which was sorted right away and an issue with the oven, which again was sorted straight away.Location was lovely, walkable pub and shop withing 15 mins, skegness itself 5 mins in the car, would be walkable.Recommendations would be to have a TV in the bedroom as this was missing and fill the hottub with hot water to quicken up the warming process for new guests.Would we stay again, 100%, just the cleanliness of the smaller details would be ideal.

We recently stayed at Platinum Lodge for a weekend and overall, it was a pretty good experience. The caravan itself was lovely and comfortable. However, we did encounter a really unpleasant smell in the main toilet, which persisted even after cleaning - not ideal. We also had a bit of trouble with the boiler; tried calling the out-of-hours number but got no reply. Luckily, restarting it got the heating going again. The location is a bit of a hike from the beach, but despite those hiccups, we had a lovely time!

we spent a weekend in platinum lodge, the caravan was great, the only problem we had was a terrible smell in the main toilet, which was noticeable even after cleaning. during our stay we had a problem with the boiler, we tried to call the out of hours number, unfortunately no one answered. luckily we restarted the boiler and the heating started working. the distance from the beach is quite far. despite these inconveniences we had a great time.

We recently booked two lodges expecting them to be similar, but ended up with one that matched the pictures and another that was completely different. When we asked about it, we were told the images are just for illustration, which seems a bit odd - aren’t the photos supposed to help us decide what we’re getting? It felt like we were given a cheaper lodge than what we paid for, which was pretty disappointing. We also tried reaching out by email about these issues but haven’t received any reply. To top it off, all the outdoor furniture was broken when we arrived, something that should’ve been spotted beforehand. Honestly, we won’t be coming back. Not a great experience at all.

Honestly, our stay in the platinum lodge was fantastic. It’s definitely one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed in the UK - super well equipped and comfortable. From the moment we arrived, there was a nice touch with a bottle of milk in the fridge and a handy washing up pack, including dishwasher tablets, which meant we didn’t have to bother with hand-washing everything during our stay. The hot tub was a real treat, especially since it was so warm and relaxing. The smart TV in the living room, set against that cool media wall, was a great feature - perfect for unwinding after a day out. The lodge’s size was a real bonus, much wider than your typical caravan, making it feel more like a home. We managed to get a good deal, but I did notice that out-of-season prices are climbing quite a bit for next year - hope they don’t put people off with sky-high prices, as it’s worth every penny!

We had a really good stay at this caravan. The place was well equipped and we loved the decking area. The hot tub was a highlight. The electric fire and central heating kept us warm when it got a bit chilly. Definitely recommend!

The bed was a bit tricky with that rolling middle, but apart from that, everything else was spot on! Would stay again.

We had a lovely stay at this lodge. It’s spacious and feels just like a home away from home. Definitely recommend to anyone! Definitely worth it.
Chloe
One of the best places I have ever stayed! Literally got what we paid for! The lodge was spectacular
Jane
Excellent throughout, brilliant accommodation with everything you could wish for, easy check in and really helpful staff. Quiet location but easy travel with car to all local sights, great for the dogs with lovely walks.
Holly
Excellent location. A Tesco only a few minutes down the road which was perfect for shopping, there was also a Lidl, Morrisons and Asda for anyone who doesn’t like Tesco. Only a 5 minute drive from the coach and the promenade. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful when we needed a bit more help during our checking in time.
Pearl
Beautiful Lodge. Really nice gesture leaving welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, milk and bottle of prosecco. Enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi . Will definitely be returning.
Catherine
Excellent lodge, very clean, hot tub added bonus would definitely stay here again
Kelly
Stunning surroundings, lovely and peaceful stay. Was nice to stay somewhere that you couldn’t hear people coming back from the pub. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back again
Stephen
Clean tidy location, good peaceful and not too busy overall relaxing time enjoyed by all.
David
Fabulous Lodge in a quiet spot, larger than expected clean and new.Hot tub was superb. Very enjoyable stay.
Malcolm
Good location and nice quiet site but close enough to Skegness. Great for a short break ,bedrooms were small compared to other Hoeseasons lodges we have been to.
Sonya
It was amazing, clean and the location was so close by to everything yet when ur at the field it doesnt feel like you are. The only downside i would say is i feel like customers should be provided with more than just 1 loo roll and also washing up liquid as essentials. But apart from that it was amazing and i would deffo go again. ( we went as 2 adults and 2 kids aged 4 and 1, everyone loved it).
Kelly
Excellent family weekend away. Had the platinum lodge with hot tub and it was amazing. The lodge wasn’t as clean as I would have expected, but it was a great weekend. Park is lovely and quiet, but had a caravan of lads at the back of us that were playing loud inappropriate music late into the night. Other than that it was amazing. Would go back in a heart beat. Kids and wife already want to go back already
John
Lovely lodge in a peaceful area.
Victoria
Quiet peaceful site, 35 minute walk into skegness, we visited ingoldmells and Gibraltar Point, which were both just a short drive away. Close enough to walk to the welcome Inn, which has a great outdoor seating area.
