With a simply stunning location on the Lincolnshire coast, Golden Sands Holiday Park offers everything needed for a fantastic seaside holiday. The relaxed and friendly park is situated opposite a long stretch of Blue Flag golden beach, where guests will find rock pools to explore, water sports to try and plenty of space for sunbathing.

Golden Sands is a very well equipped park with a high standard of facilities. There are indoor and outdoor pools, splash areas, paddling areas and a water resorts programme as well as a vast array of land based activities. Children are very well catered for with clubs for toddlers to teens and a well organised programme of entertainment.

Fencing coaching, archery coaching and football coaching are also on offer for those wishing to improve or learn new skills. Families will also enjoy the crazy golf and the mini 10 pin bowling. Evening entertainment here is first class with bingo, discos and professional cabaret acts.

Venture offsite and you will find plenty of family attractions in the area. The seaside towns of Skegness and Cleethorpes are just a short drive away and offer traditional amusements and fun fairs. We also recommend a day trip to nearby Pleasure Island Theme Park to enjoy the rides and daily shows. The historic city of Lincoln is within easy reach too and offers excellent shops and a magnificent cathedral.

With over 12 types of accommodation to choose from, Golden Sands Holiday Park really does cater to all budgets. The Prestige Caravans are highly recommended and are the most luxurious available. These 12ft wide holiday homes feature light and modern décor, extra heating in the bedrooms and guests staying in them also benefit from early check in. If value for money is a real concern then the Superior caravans are ideal. They come with two or three bedrooms and can sleep up to 8 people. Although more basic they are still very comfortable and have everything needed for self-catering. Deluxe holiday homes are also available.

  • Indoor and outdoor heated pools
  • Direct beach access
  • Entertainment Passes included

Date of stay: 6th April 2018
Despite getting off to a bad start with queuing for an hour to get our keys and our caravan not been ready 30 minutes after check in time(!!!) Eventually after 5pm we was in. After then we had a lovely time and the facilities are great, and mablethorpe is just a lovely little place. We would go back again but maybe upgrade our caravan for an earlier check in and a bit more room as the caravan was bit on the tight side. Good holiday for the price and great for the kids :)

It was a really good holiday apart from the first day, we checked in, got keys, emptied car, decided to go for a walk and mention at reception we had no DVD player, then found out were were in the wrong caravan, spent the next 2 hours packing bags and the car to move to a caravan at the other side of the park, so the 2pm check in was wasted!!!!

On arrival our caravan was very clean and tidy. Due to it being cold weather we tried to put fire on but it wouldn't work so spoke with someone from housekeeping (they were preparing caravan next door) whom contacted maintenance, within 10 minutes maintenance arrived and rectified problem immediately with a courteous and professional manner. Caravan was warm and comfortable throughout our stay and was well stocked with plates, cutlery, cups ,glasses and pans etc. Excellent.

I upgraded from a bronze and paid more, so I would be able to get into caravan earlier, but it wasn't to be. Our caravan was last to be cleaned and it went over the time of us being able to get in.
Nicola, Pontefract
Date of stay: 5th September 2014
Fantastic holiday and fantastic surroundings, there was plenty for our 4 year old to do and also plenty for the adults.
Charlotte, Hull
Date of stay: 5th September 2014
When First going into the caravan the blind that was fixed to the bathroom window fell off and hit my husband on the head causing a cut to his temple. Upon further inspection I found that this blind was held on the wall with double sided sticky tape!!

On the Monday of our holiday the smoke alarm started beeping every couple of minutes rather loudly. We rang the staff who sent someone out to have a look. When this did not fix the problem I had to ring a second time and again someone came out and 'fixed the problem'. The noise continued and dispite me calling the reception, using their text service several times and going into reception no one came back out. The problem got so bad that our children found it difficult to sleep as the alarm was right next to their heads and we had to leave our holiday a day early.
Debbie, Castleford

Date of stay: 27th June 2014
Fantastic place only problem was the changing rooms to the pool considering it is a family park are only 3 family changing rooms and one was locked the whole week this was a real problem with a 1yr old the other changing rooms weren't big enough and did spoil the pool experience which was a real shame as my daughter loves her swimming.

Date of stay: 23rd June 2014
EXCELLENT VAN,VERY WELL EQUIPPED,LOVELY LOCATIOIN.
Lewis, Lee On The Solent
Date of stay: 20th June 2014
The park could have recycling bins located with normal waste bins.Clever positioning of rides and amusement arcade before getting to the swimming pool i found irritating - it was similar to the sweets being sited near the checkout in supermarkets. However that is my only gripe: the girls in the restaurant were brilliant. And the reception staff always helpful
Michelle, Derby
Date of stay: 16th June 2014
Lovely caravan, however we entered to find a very large cobweb in the lounge area which must have been there for some time as it had dust on it! A table that hadn't been cleaned down properly & the kitchen bin still had rubbish in to include a soiled nappy, so not the best first impression to say the least. The second van we booked had the TV on when the family arrived & the third van in our party had food left in cupboards & a bathroom light fitting that fell off the ceiling, maybe worth someone spot checking the vans before being released. Site itself was great, fair was good value for money, pool shut earlier than we would of liked & we found the lifeguards very rude. I took in my water camera having seen no signs in the changing areas or pool area to say I couldn't, I walked past a lifeguard holding it in clear view & was not told I was not allowed it until I went to take some pics of my niece coming down the slide when I had a very loud whistle blown at me & was spoken to like a child telling me I wasn't allowed it, oh & I did eventually see a sign opposite the vending machines on the way out!!! (Not very helpful) Lifeguard's need teaching people skills don't think I saw one of them smile, well not until one of them was playing with a £10 note that had been handed in to them & pretending to pocket it, more interested it signing to each other than doing their jobs.
Lorraine, Leeds

Fun Days Out near Golden Sands

about 8 Miles
Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
about 14 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.

To save even more money if you live locally or are visiting the area for a few weeks you could buy a season ticket for around £50 which will allow you entry for the whole season.

Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families.  In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience.  Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats.  The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things.  We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too.  We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.
