Visitor Reviews of Sunnydale

We had an awesome week at Sunnydale and definitely plan to come back. The site was spotless, the staff super friendly and the location perfect. The walk to see the seals on the beach was just unforgettable! Thanks a lot!

We recently enjoyed a stay here and the countryside walks in the lovely sunshine were just perfect for us. The beach, a quick 15-minute drive, is a Blue Flag spot, so that's a real plus. We also had easy access to the salt marsh by foot, though it’s not really suited for swimming. The pool was decent for some lengths, especially since COVID restrictions limited other activities and the pub had a room dedicated to entertainment, which was handy. The food served on-site was your typical pub fare, but really good and hearty - especially the fish and chips we found nearby. The fishing lake is quite small and while it has some fish, serious anglers might not be impressed. It made a fantastic base for exploring sandy beaches and watching aircraft at RAF Donna Nook, which was quite the spectacle, even if the noise till midnight was a bit much!

Date of stay: 3rd January 2025
We recently stayed and honestly, the caravan was fantastic. Spotless and well-maintained, with a really comfy sofa that our kids loved. The built-in DVD was a nice touch and the modern USB ports on the sockets are so handy. Everything we needed was there!

Date of stay: 22nd December 2024
We found this park quite charming, especially if you're into quiet spots with limited facilities-mostly geared towards kids and anglers. The location is pretty remote, which means a nice long walk to reach the sea outcrop. Perfect for dog walks, but not really a place to sit and relax. One thing to note is the nearby RAF training base; you'll often see Tornados flying overhead, sometimes late at night. We enjoyed watching them, though some might find the noise a bit much. Our caravan was in good shape and fairly new, but it wasn’t very clean when we arrived. Definitely pack some sanitiser and kitchen spray to give everything a wipe down. It’s a decent spot if you don’t mind the quiet and occasional noise.

Date of stay: 16th December 2024
We had a lovely stay in caravan 205 - such a great spot near the lake and all the facilities. The place was spotless, even if a bit worn in some spots. Plenty of kitchen stuff too. Just a heads up, don't forget the toilet paper! Definitely recommend!

Date of stay: 12th December 2024
We stayed at this caravan site recently and really enjoyed it. The place is spotless and well-maintained, with a lovely kids’ play area. It’s peaceful at night and our caravan was cosy with plenty of storage. The oven wasn’t very powerful, but the hob was great. Overall, a lovely spot!
Emma, Rotherham
Date of stay: 1st December 2024
Really enjoyed our stay, the caravan was spot on!
Sam, Wombourne
Date of stay: 24th November 2024
We didn’t actually eat at the restaurant, so can't really comment on that. The caravan was super clean, which was great. It suited us fine, though we did wish there were some coat hooks and better storage options. Also, the wardrobe in the double bedroom was a bit tricky to open because of the bed placement.
Emma, Whittlesey

We absolutely adore Sunny Dale! Already booked again for September - can’t wait to return soon!

Date of stay: 10th September 2024
Despite our trip ending earlier than planned, we still had a really lovely time overall. Would return!
Emma, Rotherham
Date of stay: 5th September 2024
We had such a lovely time! The quiet setting was perfect for us and everyone was genuinely friendly, which made us feel right at home. The staff really went above and beyond, especially considering the current restrictions. Our family of four, with two boys-one being a bit lively-felt truly welcomed and appreciated. The entertainment was top-notch and Dan did a fantastic job running everything solo all week. The kids didn’t want to leave and we’re already planning to come back next year for longer!
Emma, Gb
Date of stay: 2nd September 2024
We had a lovely stay overall! The caravan was spotless and spacious and the surrounding area is really nice. The club house and entertainment were spot on, which the kids loved. Only downside was the pool booking situation - we had no idea how to reserve, so the kids were a bit disappointed. Still, we’d come back!
Jamie, Nottingham
Date of stay: 12th July 2024
Honestly, we had a pretty good time overall. The place was lovely and the staff were friendly. We did run into a bit of a snag when we tried to pop into the club for a drink in the evening but weren’t eating at that moment. We’d already had lunch there earlier, so we were a bit gutted we couldn’t go in just for a quick drink. When we asked for a table, the security guy checked with someone inside and they said to send us through. But then he told us we couldn’t because we weren’t eating and had already eaten earlier. Bit of a letdown, but apart from that, the rest of the holiday was pretty great. Just a shame about that small hiccup!
Maureen, Leeds
Date of stay: 11th July 2024

Gareth, Huntingdon
Date of stay: 17th June 2024
The holiday was quite enjoyable overall, but the bedrooms did feel a bit cramped.
Martin, Telford
Date of stay: 2nd June 2024
Really pleased with this purchase!
Toni
Amazing place, will definitely be back x
Michelle
We had an amazing stay. The only negatives was that when we arrived on the hottest day of the year so far the central heating was on. There was no need for this. It took ages for the caravan to cool down. It also took a while to find the caravan. The number was on the rear therefore could not be seen from the road. The caravan was big enough for 2 people and had plenty of crockery etc. The site was really nice and in a great location. 2 pubs within walking distance. You would need a vehicle to get around. Caravan and site was very clean.
