We had a really lovely time staying here! Sharon and Robert were fantastic hosts, making us feel right at home. The place had all we needed-spotlessly clean, comfy and secure for our dog Archie, which was a big plus. The location was perfect for walks and exploring Thaxted and nearby villages, which are truly charming. Honestly, we left feeling totally recharged and relaxed, so definitely a place we’d recommend!

We found the place spotless and super comfy. It’s great for four people, maybe a bit tight for six since the twin beds are quite narrow and the bedrooms aren’t huge. Only four of us could sit comfortably around the table for meals. The kitchen was well stocked, though a couple of baking trays would’ve been handy. The shower was really good and the double room was perfect. Plus, the hairdryer was a lovely bonus! We’d definitely stay again.

We had a lovely stay! The owners were genuinely welcoming and helpful, making us feel right at home. The cottage itself is adorable, with that charming half-timbered look and a comfy bed that made nights really restful. The shower was surprisingly powerful, which was a bonus and the cosy kitchen was perfect for relaxing evenings. Parking right next to the cottage was super convenient. Plus, the area’s great for walks, especially across those scenic fields to Thaxted. We’ll definitely come back!

The welcome pack was really handy, full of all the info and menus - such a nice touch. The owners, Sharon and Rob, were super quick to reply if we had questions. We spent a week here from 15 to 22 July with our two mini dachshund girls and they absolutely loved it! They made loads of friends in the lovely village of Thaxted. The cottage itself is really charming and the hot tub was such a treat - especially since it was scorchingly hot that week, so cooling off in it was perfect. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming and it was nice to see their dogs being taken out to the fields daily. Being near Stansted’s flight path was actually pretty interesting - watching the planes land was quite fun. Would definitely recommend!

We recently stayed at the lodge and honestly, it was pretty well stocked with extras. Being a new place, we found unopened board games which was a nice touch. The little kitchen pack with washing up liquid, tea towel, bin liners, tea and coffee was a thoughtful addition that we didn’t expect. The master bedroom had a cute organza bag with some smellies inside, which was a lovely detail. We were a group of five, but the twin beds were quite narrow for my parents and our 6-year-old kept knocking into the wall at night, which was a bit of a pain. Next time, I think we’ll go for a larger, luxury lodge. The shower was really powerful and the lodge was spotless, plus it didn’t smell at all like a pet-friendly place, which was great! Overall, a nice stay.

We loved staying at this charming cottage. It’s perfectly tucked away, giving us privacy, but still close enough to grab some local goodies. The hot tub was fantastic and the underfloor heating kept us super cosy. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made everything feel so welcoming. Can’t wait to return!

We just got back from a three-night stay at Hazel Lodge and honestly, it was fantastic! The lodge itself was spotless and super comfy, with cosy beds and fluffy towels that made us feel right at home. Loved the little touches like mini soaps and coffee sachets. The staff were genuinely friendly, making everything easy. Breakfast at Brewers was really tasty too. The location was peaceful but perfect for exploring Lincoln Castle and The Kinema in the Woods. We’ll definitely be back!

Couldn’t fault it. Perfectly quiet, tranquil open space. Lodges are reasonably sized and so clean. We had lovely weather, so it was nice to be sitting outside all day. Food at the cafe was lovely, staff were so friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to return in the New Year.

Hanworth Country Park is a beautiful place for a relaxing break. Very peaceful surroundings, lovely walks and excellent fishing. Lodges are well equipped and hot tubs are lovely for relaxing evenings.

Lovely quiet park. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good base to explore Lincoln and surrounding area. Good food in Brewers bar and restaurant but only served food until 2.30 pm out of peak holiday season.

We stayed in one of the large lodges with a hot tub. And it comfortably fit all 7 of us in it. One of the nicest places we’ve stayed. The scenery and wildlife was breathtaking! Very reasonably priced too :) We’ll definitely be back for more weekend stays. :)

We stayed in one of the Leisure lodges with a hot tub (the Beech). The park itself is lovely and well presented, with great walks around the choice of lakes with lots of wildlife (I’ve never seen so many baby geese). The sunset was stunning from the main lake.
