We had a lovely stay at this cottage, tucked away on a working farm but still very private. Robert and Sharon were genuinely charming hosts, making us feel welcomed from the start. The place itself is really spacious and the kitchen and bathroom are well-equipped - made cooking and relaxing easy. The bed was super comfy and the garden, which is dog-proof and private, has nice furniture for lounging. Plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted’s restaurants like The Star and The Maypole are worth a visit. We’d definitely recommend it!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The location is stunning and super private, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The owners are genuinely friendly and helpful without being intrusive, which we appreciated. The hot tub was a real highlight after cycling all day-so relaxing! One thing to keep in mind, though, is that the cottage is right under Stansted's flight path, so there’s quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didn’t bother us much once we got used to it, but if you're sensitive to noise, it’s worth noting. Overall, we’d definitely recommend it!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was super well equipped and kept us really warm, which was perfect with all the rain in December. The bath was lovely and the shower was big enough to relax in. Being near the flight path didn’t bother us at all, so don’t worry about that. Perfect spot for dogs scared of fireworks - totally in the middle of nowhere. Thanks a bunch!
