Lodge was lovely clean and great location ,only downside no tv in bedroom

Lodge was great

Even though we booked the most basic lodge, we had a fab holiday. It could have been 5 stars but a couple of things have meant I’ve marked it down. The lodge itself could do with a full deep clean and a bit of a refresh. Mainly areas that don’t really have an impact on you, cobwebs and dust on high points, stains on radiators, vinyl peeling off the kitchen cupboards. Didn’t impact the holiday itself but would make it nicer. The thing that did impact the holiday was the hot tub lid. It was dated and so heavy. I went with my 5yo daughter so had to open the hot tub alone. I’m not weak by any means and opening the tub was manageable but it was an ordeal getting it closed again. However, a staff member seemed to spot this on day two and took some pics without me mentioning it and he arrived on day 4 with a new lid. It was soooo much easier after that but unfortunately that was our last night.

Lovely lodge with wifi, Pet friendly but couldn't tell as well kept and very clean.

No wifi Dusty dirty around cooker Not enough work space in kitchen to cook Microwave in boiler cupboard so had to lift it out to use But if old people were in it would be a struggle

Had a lovely time in the hot tub but not very bubbly Loads of wasps could do with voiles on the doors to keep out flys n wasps Lodges was lovely otherwise

Small chalet not a lodge, attached to another chalet with conjoining doors. Can hear neighbour's t.v through the walls/joining door. Smoke from neighbours seeping into our room so had to keep door and windows shut in the heat. Weeds in yard at waist height. No privacy as fence is open and exposed to the road outside and balcony from lodge next door overlooks the hot tub. Children running passed. Adults only and families should be separate. Chalet very very basic, outdated and neglected. I had to purchase toilet paper. Unmade road leading from park entrance to the lodges. No WIFI option. And signal poor. It was ok as a base to visit York but not what was expected for our honeymoon.

Gorgeous lodge and well equipped. Lovely hot tub. Harvey’s Bar and The Watermill very handy but not owned by the site but very easy to walk to.

Brilliant staff again will be returning back. Easy access to get to reception and around the place, overall brilliant place to stay with either a partner or a friend.

Absolute spot on. Everything you need, very comfortable, roomy and spacious. Loved it ????

Kitchen cabinet was chipped could do with replacing

We had a lovely week away but the lodge needed a good deep clean carpets and sofa were full of dirty marks just needed washing hot tub lid was broke needed two men to put it back on

Tv in bedroom would b good plus wifi

We had a really relaxing stay at this place. The hot tub was a highlight and the peaceful atmosphere was exactly what we needed. The hosts were lovely and the property had everything we could ask for. Highly recommend!

We had an absolutely lovely stay here! The owners were so friendly and helpful, really making us feel welcome. The cottage itself is charming, with a cosy vibe and spotlessly clean interiors. The shower was powerful, which was a nice surprise and the bed was super comfy. Parking right next to the cottage made everything so easy. Plus, the location is perfect for scenic walks to Thaxted and exploring the nearby villages with their pretty half-timbered houses and windmill. We’d definitely come back!

We had an amazing stay at the cottage! The place was really well kept and had everything we needed. Loved the nearby dog walks - perfect for our furry friends. The host was super friendly and quick to reply. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a real highlight. Can’t wait to return! Definitely worth it.

We really enjoyed our stay! The hot tub was a real highlight, checked daily and ready to go when we arrived. The kitchen had everything we needed and the fridge was surprisingly spacious - perfect for our stay. The cleaning products pack was a thoughtful touch. Only thing is, we’d have loved a vacuum cleaner since we had pets and kids; sweeping was a bit of a chore. The oven was a tad wobbly and took longer to cook, but overall, it was a fantastic place. We’ll be back!

We stayed at this cosy cottage and loved the peaceful vibe, though planes can be a bit noisy at night from nearby Stanstead. The hot tub was a real highlight!

Everything was just really grubby. I couldn’t relax and felt so on edge with how dirty it was when we got there. I tried to clean up a bit but it just made me feel like I couldn’t settle. The beds and bedding were poor quality.

We stayed at this charming cottage on a working farm and honestly, it was perfect for what we wanted. The place is super private, with a lovely garden that’s dog-proof and well-furnished. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely nice and made us feel really welcome. The cottage itself is spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy bed. There are loads of walks nearby and Thaxted has some great restaurants like The Star and The Maypole. We’d definitely recommend it!

We loved how much care had gone into the place, everything was just right. The hosts were genuinely lovely and super helpful. Such a beautiful spot for a really relaxing getaway. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Holiday was ok .. place is nice .. cleaning and friendly of staff was our issues Kids activities over priced for what they were .. rip off basically. Pond needed to be checked for rubbish ..

We had a fantastic stay! The cottage was spotlessly clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Loved the ease of taking the dogs for walks right from the doorstep. The host was super friendly and quick to reply, which made everything smooth. Meeting Penelope the pig was a lovely bonus. Definitely coming back, great value for money! Highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at the lodge by the lake, but honestly, it’s quite pricey during peak season! Definitely worth it though.

We had a really lovely holiday and would definitely return and recommend to other people. The only thing I would say is for the price you pay a few more basic items could be added to the cabin like washing up liquid, toilet bleach, anti bac spray more toilet roll and a small milk maybe? We don’t drive and had to order the other items in, but if I would have known I would have bought them with me. Also if there was an option of having the towels changed once during the week that would have been really good. However it’s a fab place to stay and we all had a really great time so thanks very much. The staff were friendly helpful and professional at all times and facilities were great!

What a beautiful location. The lodge was brand new and so comfortable and clean. Everything we needed apart from a long handled brush. If you want to keep the lodges in this top top condition you need to help the guests look after them too. It’s hard to sweep a floor with a dust pan and brush! The facilities were good especially the pool being free. Water activities need more equipment though. And ohhh the hot tub how fabulous was that! It made our holiday. All in all fantastic and I will definitely be coming back soon.

Fabulous holiday, loved the lodge, lovely and modern. Only issue was the hottub got a little dirty after on the third day, we told a member of staff but wasn't rectified for us. Mentioned it was because of the extreme heat and it was a brand new hottub so hopefully just a one off. Restaurant was gorgeous and the sports bar is a nice touch. Overall we would return in the future.

Lovely quiet site with good facilities and great staff and services.

We stayed in the dog friendly Aspen Lodge, which had a gated decking area which was great for the dog to have freedom, lodge was very spacious & clean & everything provided, hot tub was a bonus, location is amazing & fishing on site, very friendly staff, highly recommend & will definitely return.

Thoroughly recommend this park, a nice size, clean and tidy. Very handy having a the restaurant and sports bar located next door. Swimming pool, soft play, cafe and mini shop all very useful.

Lovely park with swimming and spa facilities..3rd time at this lodge park and would go again.
