Very quiet site, only saw one person all weekend. You don’t see any staff as it is self check in. We was in an attached lodge and could hear our neighbours more than we expected to. It felt like we was away with a cousin we didn’t know and couldn’t see but they were there. We found ourselves whispering which isn’t ideal on holiday. Lovely local pub nearby but wouldn’t return to this site, prefer a lodge with decking personally.

The chairs in the outside area were rusty and needed to be replaced in my opinion. There was nowhere to hang wet clothes after being in hot tub

There was no toilet paper in the lodge on arrival. The hot water took a while to heat in the shower. Everything else was great.

We stayed in the cabin recently and really enjoyed it overall. It had a super cosy vibe and all the kitchen stuff we needed for meals. The bed was comfy, though the pillows were a bit lumpy. The sofas weren’t the best and a hairdryer or some coasters would’ve been a nice touch. Still, a lovely stay!

We loved staying here! The place was spotless, beautifully furnished and super peaceful. The hot tub really topped it off! Quite the treat.

Lovely cottage in great location, not far from York. This cottage is dog friendly and I would recommend if you have dogs.

We spent a lovely week at the Vale of York staying in the Lily cabin. The staff really made us feel welcome, super friendly and easy to chat with. The cabin itself was spotless and had everything we needed, especially for cooking - it was well stocked. We loved spending time by the lake, doing a bit of fishing and just soaking up the peaceful vibe. The walk into the nearby village was only about 10 minutes, though some of the grass was a bit long, but it’s no big deal - you can hop on and off the road easily. We had a fantastic meal at the Ship Inn, which is a cosy pub in the village and later we drove to Wigginton for a few afternoons in their lovely beer garden. Getting into York was simple, just a short bus ride from opposite the pub. Overall, we had a cracking time and would definitely recommend it for a relaxing break!
