It was pretty standard, but honestly, the weather was lovely so we didn’t hang around much. The hot tub was a real plus! No outdoor seating, so we grabbed a couple of chairs from a nearby supermarket - they worked fine, no fuss at all.

We had a decent stay overall, with all the essentials covered. However, we couldn’t quite understand why dogs are charged extra since there’s no difference in the facilities whether you have a pet or not. Also, it’s a bit annoying that there are no public waste bins around-had to carry the dog waste bags with us everywhere!

We've been here twice now and absolutely love it. Already planning to return this year. Told our friends about it too-they're heading in February, can't wait!

We really enjoyed our stay at Ballard Pod 4. The space was perfect for four of us and the hot tub was a lovely touch. It’d be great if there were a dustpan and brush, plus some hooks for coats and towels. Still, we had a lovely time!

We didn't get the original room we booked because of a last-minute change, but honestly, if it was an upgrade, we're pretty happy it happened. Made the trip a bit more special!

Unfortunately, we didn't stay here as we were moved before our arrival. Quite disappointing.

We stayed for two nights in the pod and honestly, it looked just like the pictures-really lovely. The hot tub was a highlight, with a stunning view over fields and hills, which was a total relaxer. The check-in was smooth, with a friendly lady greeting us and telling us the owner was just finishing up with the hot tub checks. Inside, there was a big fridge freezer and a TV with Netflix and other apps, so we could just log in and chill out. The only downsides? The bed was a bit on the firm side and there wasn’t any outdoor furniture, but the owner was super helpful and gave us some chairs to sit on. There was also a handy info book with ideas for things to do, places to eat and local attractions. If you ask us, Ballard 1 is the better spot-away from the main road, on a quiet side road, which makes it more peaceful.

Really enjoyed our stay. The hot tub was fantastic and the pod had all we needed inside.

We had a really nice stay! The pod was spotless and spacious and the hot tub was just what we needed. The warden and owner came by when we arrived late, both super friendly and helpful. Definitely planning to come back again!

We had a lovely stay overall, but we did find there weren’t enough plates and cutlery for our family of six. A WiFi connection for the kids would’ve been a nice addition too! Definitely worth considering for future visits.

We recently stayed at this place and honestly, the views are stunning - you get a fantastic outlook across to the Isle of Arran which makes the trip worthwhile just for that. The hot tub was definitely the highlight, offering real luxury and a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The heating system kept everything cosy and the hot water boiler worked a treat, so no complaints there. Plus, the TV had a decent selection of channels, which was nice for some downtime. The decor is quite simple but looks tidy and inviting and the place was spotless when we arrived, which is always appreciated. That said, we did find some issues, especially considering the price we paid over Christmas. It felt a bit sparse - no shelves or cabinets in the bathroom or shower area to store toiletries and only a tiny bathroom mat was provided. There’s just one small mirror in the bathroom and none elsewhere, which was a bit inconvenient. The main bedroom has a built-in wardrobe above the bed, but no shelves or charging stations for gadgets. The smaller bedroom is pretty minimal - just a single bed with no other furniture or shelves, so we had to put our glass of water on the floor overnight. The living space is comfortable enough with a sofa bed and a coffee table, but there’s no lamps or soft lighting options, so the lighting is either all or nothing, which can be a bit harsh. The kitchen was a bit of a letdown - no corkscrew, no tin opener, only one sharp knife and very little cutlery. There was no welcome basket or any basic supplies like tea, coffee, or milk - which was surprising. We had some tins leftover from camping, so we managed, but if not, we’d have been stuck. Overall, if you stay here, make sure to bring everything you might need, especially essentials like a corkscrew or tin opener. The views are fantastic and it’s a good spot for exploring, but just be prepared for a few missing bits.

Honestly, this stay was a bit of a nightmare from the get-go. They totally bungled our booking, leaving us a bed short and we only got £50 compensation which felt a bit stingy. One of the rooms was missing a blind and there was no bedding for the pull-out couch, so that was a pain. The toilet light switch was jammed between the cupboard and the wall and only my five-year-old could turn it on! The jacuzzi was filthy and slimy and there were flies everywhere-really off-putting. Also, no tin opener in the kitchen and despite what the website says, they never had high chairs or pop-up cots available. We didn’t see a park ranger at all either. Not the best experience, that’s for sure!

We had a lovely stay at this lodge. Plenty of space and loads to explore nearby. The only downside is there’s nothing on-site, so a car is essential. Still, a really good holiday - we’d definitely recommend it!

We had an amazing stay! The lodge was really lovely and the hot tub was a highlight. Only small thing-having a broom or hoover would’ve helped, as the floor got a bit messy after a few days. Still, fantastic experience!

We really loved our stay at Arran Hills. The lodge was lovely and having a hot tub was such a bonus! The only minor thing was the lack of a proper seating area on the decking, but honestly, we enjoyed it so much we’ve already booked again. Can’t wait to return!

When we first arrived, we thought the site looked pretty small, but it had some lovely lodges that caught our eye. Inside, the lodge was bright and airy, thanks to all the windows, which was a real plus. Everything seemed new and fairly clean, so that was nice. That said, there were a few things missing - like a mat at the door and some decking furniture so you could chill outside without being in the hot tub. The lodge itself was quite cosy, but the bed was a bit on the small side, so our feet kept hanging off the end, which was a bit annoying. The shower was quite tight and moving around in it wasn’t the easiest, but again, that’s just because the lodge is quite compact. Privacy when using the hot tub wasn’t great either, which was a bit of a letdown. We did have a couple of issues during our stay, but with no on-site office, we could only ring or text for help. When we did, the response was that someone would come down in the morning to sort it out. Honestly, it felt like they saw it as a bit of a chore when the site team arrived - they even brought their whole family with kids, which was a bit awkward. Since it’s a new site, I guess they still have a few things to finish up, but overall, it was okay, just a few teething problems!
Emma
We just got back from a really nice four-night stay at this cottage. The owners were super helpful but didn’t bother us at all, which was great. The big fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around. The place had everything we needed and the hot tub was absolutely brilliant! We’d definitely come back and have already recommended it to friends. Thanks for a lovely break!
Emma
We had such a lovely stay! The place was spot on and the hosts made us feel really welcomed and looked after. Everything was thought through, making our holiday totally enjoyable. Already looking forward to returning!
Emma
Great stay, the place had everything we could possibly need!
Daniel
We had a fantastic stay here! The place was super peaceful and well kitted out, especially loved the hot tub. The hosts were lovely and it’s perfect if you need a break from the hustle. Highly recommend!
James
We needed a quick escape for our dog walk and honestly, it was just what we hoped for. Lovely place, great pubs nearby and endless open fields for off-road adventures. The dog loved it and didn’t want to leave!
Gillian
Out lodge was spotless & staff friendly & helpful
Louise
Excellent lodge and loved how quiet the area was. My only advice is to take your own outdoor chairs. Unlike the photos there is no place to sit outside and the dining chairs were not comfy.
Marianna
Couldn't recommend a stay here more. Quiet apart from my children and they had a ball, they loved the hot tub. They played in our little bit of garden and we were completely left alone. Staff were very helpful and always at hand when needed. Cabin was modern clean and a peaceful private good value break. Definitely recommend and definitely go back. 10 out of 10 from this family.
Anthony
Nice relaxing break. Perfect location hidden away and nice to come back to when we've been out round Scotland to Glasgow and Edinburgh
Pauline
Absaloutly amazing thank you we will be back
Shaun
Fantastic 4 days away . It's says pod but I would call it a micro lodge , the pictures are spot on with what you get . It has only just opened so all is brand new and a couple of lodges were just being finished. Hot tub was excellent and for short break had plenty of room . Good oven and full size fridge freezer and bathroom bigger than static caravan . Had a great time on the beaches nearby plenty to go to and lots of superstores . Thank you very much Arran hills hope to see you again
Gemma
Had an excellent stay. Lodge was very clean and well equipped. Highly recommend.
