We stayed at this place during a rainy December and it was perfect-super cosy and warm. The bath was lovely and the shower was big enough for a proper rinse! The house is in a quiet spot, so the nearby flight path didn’t bother us at all. Perfect for dogs too, especially if they dislike fireworks. Honestly, a beautiful spot and well converted. Thanks so much!

The lodge was really clean and spacious, with everything we needed. The site was super peaceful and perfect for relaxing walks. Staff were friendly and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. Only downside was a missing cord in the en suite, but no big deal since it was just us two. Definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay! The lodge offered good value and had most essentials, though a bottle of hand soap would’ve been handy. The best part was definitely the hot tub - super warm and relaxing. We’d come back!

We had a lovely stay at this cosy little spot tucked away in a peaceful area. The owners were genuinely friendly and helpful, always nearby but never intrusive, which kept that perfect sense of privacy. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day cycling around. One thing to keep in mind is that the cottage is quite close to Stansted’s flight path, so there’s quite a bit of aircraft noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didn’t spoil our trip at all. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quiet getaway!

We had such a lovely stay at Goddard's Mead! Rob and Sharon really put a lot of effort into restoring this historic building and it shows. They welcomed us warmly, along with Bonnie, which made us feel right at home. The location is perfect for exploring Essex - we spent hours wandering around Thaxted and other nearby villages, soaking up the history and charming architecture. Definitely recommend for a relaxing break!

We had a lovely stay in this newly built lodge, which was really beautifully decorated and had a fantastic view. The hot tub was a real treat after days exploring the area. We stayed at this place recently and honestly, it’s lovely! The house is really well kitted out and kept us warm even on that rainy December day. The bath was such a treat and the shower was perfect. The location is great for dogs, especially since there are no fireworks around. Plus, even with the planes overhead, it didn’t bother us at all. Thanks so much!

We recently spent some time at this peaceful rural spot and honestly, it was a lovely escape. We were lucky enough to spot deer, squirrels and even red kites soaring above - such a treat! The site is pretty quiet since there are only five lodges, so it’s perfect if you’re after some peace and quiet. The lodge itself was spotless, comfy and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The hot tub was a real bonus, checked on it twice daily and loved unwinding in there. The staff we met were super friendly and helpful, which added to the good vibes. There’s a golf course nearby, but fair warning - if you’re bringing a smaller car like ours and forgot the trolley, you might be out of luck because they don’t hire them out. The site’s still under development, but it’s clear it’s going to be fantastic once finished. We also enjoyed a walk along the river, even if the reeds are pretty tall - there’s a spot where you can sit and take in the view. The closest town, Pershore, is just a five-minute drive and we found some lovely places to eat in Elmley Castle too. All in all, a relaxing getaway we’d happily return to!

We just got back from a fantastic week at Goddards Mead. The cottage had everything we could think of. The hosts made us feel really at home and even though it’s on a busy farm, it’s surprisingly peaceful and relaxing. Loved it!

We had such a lovely stay at this cottage! The place is really well looked after and has everything you could need. Loved the dog walks right outside, makes it so easy. The host was super friendly and quick to reply, which made everything smooth. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a bonus. We’ll definitely return, great value for money!

We had an awesome time at the lodge! It was spotless, especially considering it’s pet-friendly, which was great. Willow loved it too. The hot tub was perfect - really big and relaxing. Inside, it was super spacious with lovely decor and the big fridge/freezer was a bonus. Can’t wait to visit again!

We absolutely loved our stay at the lodge! The setting was so peaceful and the place was spotless. The hot tub was a real highlight-so relaxing. We even spotted two deer on the golf course which was a lovely surprise. Only minor thing was the main bedroom’s blinds-would’ve been nice to have curtains for a bit more privacy and darkness. Other than that, it was perfect and we’ll be back!
