We had an awesome stay! The lodge was spotless, super cosy and kept us warm. The hot tub was a real highlight-so relaxing! Grounds were beautifully maintained. The staff, especially Linsey, made us feel so welcome and went the extra mile. Already booked for New Year, can’t wait to come back!

We stayed for a couple of nights and honestly, it felt a bit pricey for what we got. The place was comfy, especially the beds and pillows, which made a big difference. The facilities like the hairdryer, iron and ironing board were handy. The sofas were nice, though there were a few light stains. Overall, the place was clean and cosy, but we did find a dirty sock behind the curtain in the main bedroom and a packet of sweets under the twin bed, so a bit more attention to cleaning would help. Still, we’d consider coming back!

We had a lovely time! Lindsy was super helpful and made everything easy. The place was spotless and just right for our dogs, with a garden for them to run around. We relaxed in the hot tub with some drinks. Definitely coming back next year, can’t wait! Would recommend to everyone.

We keep coming back here because it’s just lovely. The lodge is always spotless and the setting is so peaceful, perfect for escaping the busy routine. The staff, especially Vito and Lindsey, are genuinely friendly and really make an effort to make sure we have a good time. It’s definitely our go-to retreat!

We had an amazing stay at this lovely cabin! Honestly, it’s spotless and the little details really make a difference - everything was thought of, which made our trip super relaxing. The privacy was perfect, with our own fenced garden and the hot tub was a real treat, kept to such high standards we felt confident using it every day. The beds were comfy and the heated flooring was a nice touch, especially in the mornings. The bathrooms shone and the cosy living room made us feel right at home. We spent our days exploring the Cotswolds and enjoyed some fantastic meals at the local pubs within walking distance, including one by the river that was truly stunning. Vito’s place is simply brilliant and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with all the comforts, this is the spot!

We stayed at these lodges recently and honestly, the location is pretty perfect for exploring the charming Cotswold villages and Stratford-upon-Avon. The lodges themselves are quite comfy and we appreciated the peaceful surroundings. Unfortunately, that’s about where the positives end. We didn’t get to try the hot tub because it rained nearly the whole time, which was a bit of a let-down. The crockery and utensils provided are very basic - if you’re planning to cook or need anything a bit out of the ordinary, best to bring your own. There were some individual jam and honey pots, but we’re not sure how long they’d been sitting there; the honey was completely crystallised and solid, which was a bit odd. Noise from the haulage yard nearby was minimal, mostly just when we were outside, so that wasn’t a big issue. What really disappointed us was the cleanliness - it was quite poor. Long dark hairs were everywhere, including stuck to the walls. The bed sheets had hairs and fluff all over, so I ended up washing the ones on my child’s bed just so they could sleep comfortably - I’ve never had to do that on holiday before! We also had to run all the cutlery and plates through the dishwasher because they were dirty - ketchup on plates, egg stuck to cutlery, tea stains on mugs. Honestly, I’ve been staying in lodges for over 15 years and I’ve never encountered such a level of uncleanliness before. The bathrooms were also a let-down - mouldy grout that’s easy to clean but was just left to build up, cobwebs on arrival and stains next to the toilet. The extractor fan was filthy too. We didn’t feel clean during our stay and couldn’t wait to get home for a proper shower. The lodges are quite close together and we experienced the TV in our bedroom turning on when nobody was in there, probably because someone in a neighbouring lodge turned theirs on. Someone also tried repeatedly to Airplay to the lounge TV, which was a bit strange. All in all, we wouldn’t come back mainly because of the cleanliness issues. It’s a shame because the location is lovely, but the state of the lodges really needs attention.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lodge! It’s super warm, spotless and well-equipped. The full-size fridge freezer was handy, especially with the welcome fizz! Everything you might need is there - washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, oven and even tea towels and cleaning supplies. The towels, robes and slippers for the hot tub made it extra special. They’ve thought of everything, including throws and dog treats for our furry friend. Honestly, it made our break so much better. Would definitely come back!

Absolutely loved our stay! The lodge was beautifully spacious and spotless, with little touches that made it special. Coming on Mother’s Day weekend, we found a chocolate heart on the bed and a bottle of fizz in the fridge-such a nice touch! The hot tub was ready and warm when we arrived and the plastic wine glasses were handy. We’ll definitely be back!

Honestly, I don’t often bother leaving reviews, but this place really impressed us. The lodge was massive and beautifully decorated, super clean all over. It felt really homely, especially with little touches like a bottle of Prosecco and still and sparkling water waiting in the fridge when we arrived-those small things make all the difference. The kitchen was well-stocked with teas, coffees, jam and even a dishwasher with tablets included. Bathrooms had hand wash and there was enough toilet roll for the whole trip, plus baking foil, salt, pepper and cooking oil - everything we needed. We usually stay in caravans, so this was our first lodge holiday and we appreciated not having to bring all these bits ourselves. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The hot tub was definitely a highlight for us all. We’d love to come back again for sure!

The place really hits the spot for us. The location is perfect and Lindsay, the manager, is always there to help without any fuss. Our dog loves the big garden and the nearby walks. The lodge is modern, well-equipped and just a great spot for a relaxing break. We’ll be back!

We had a fantastic time at this lodge! It’s super modern, really spacious and spotlessly clean. The underfloor heating kept everything cosy and the kitchen had all the gadgets we needed. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day, especially with that complimentary fizz to enjoy. Our dog loved the large, secure garden-he was in his element with bowls, treats and a comfy blanket provided. Linsey was lovely; she greeted us on arrival and was available if we needed anything, which made a big difference. Overall, a brilliant stay - we’d definitely come back!

Honestly, this was the nicest lodge we’ve stayed in so far. The private gated area makes it super safe, perfect for families or couples just wanting some peace and quiet. We booked the Oxford for 6 but only had 3 of us plus our little one, who’s 20 months old - so he had plenty of space to run around. The decor was genuinely lovely, couldn’t fault it at all. The staff, especially Lindsey, was so friendly and down-to-earth, like we’d known her forever. She was always available if we needed anything, though luckily we didn’t. The lodge was fully stocked with all the cutlery, pans and even BBQ bits you could ask for. The nearby corner shop has everything too, just a 10-minute walk away. The whole place was spotless and everything worked perfectly for us. We loved it so much that we’ve already booked again. The garden is stunning and everything on site is kept in top condition. Definitely a place we’ll keep coming back to!

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy little cottage. It’s tucked away enough for peace, but still near shops and cafes when needed. The hot tub was a real highlight and the underfloor heating kept everything super warm. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel so welcome!
Lucy
We loved the cosy vibe, especially the log burner and hot tub. Hosts were super friendly! Can’t wait to come back for a longer stay.

The place was stunning, super clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was the highlight!
Oliver
We had such a lovely stay at this charming cottage! The hosts were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to help us with everything. The place itself is adorable-lovely half-timbered design, super clean and really cosy. The powerful shower and comfy bed made our stay even better. Parking right next to the cottage was a real bonus. Plus, the walks around the fields to Thaxted were perfect for a relaxing day out. Would definitely recommend!
Emily
We really enjoyed our stay at Goddard Mead. The cottage had everything we needed and the walks right outside were perfect. The hosts were lovely and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend!
