Too small for 4birthShower was very dangerous as could not set temperature due to controls trapped behind door also shower base was very slippery when wet.

Would prefer if atleast basic toiletries were provided

The cottage was charming and peaceful, perfect for relaxing away from busy city life. The owners were friendly but not intrusive, which we really appreciated. The hot tub was a lovely bonus too!

Nice clean chalet, doesn’t have a dishwasher but has everything else you need. Very reasonable price.

We spent a week here in July with our two tiny dachshunds and they absolutely loved it! Making friends with other dogs in the village of Thaxted was a highlight for them. The cottage itself is charming and the hot tub was a real treat-especially during the scorching weather, as it cooled the water and made it super refreshing. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming and it was lovely to see their horses being taken out to the fields daily. Being close to Stansted's flight path was interesting; we enjoyed watching the planes land. Definitely a place we’d recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at this cosy cottage! The place is so well looked after and had everything we needed. The walks right outside were perfect for the dogs and we loved meeting the animals, especially Penelope the pig. The host was super friendly and quick to reply. Definitely coming back, great value and a lovely escape!

The owners, Sharon and Rob, are really quick to reply if you have questions. The welcome pack was super helpful, packed with info about the place and nearby menus, which was a nice touch. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was the cherry on top. Thanks for a lovely getaway - we’ll definitely be back!

We had such a lovely weekend here! The place really ticked all our boxes and we felt right at home. Our dogs couldn’t get enough of the underfloor heating and the garden-Luna especially! She was wagging her tail so much that she strained it, but the vet says she’s fine. We’ll definitely be coming back soon, loved it!

We had such a lovely stay at this cottage. The owners are genuinely lovely and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The place itself is adorable-really charming with its half-timbered style-and the shower was surprisingly powerful, which was a nice surprise! The cosy kitchen and living space made it feel like home and the bed was super comfy. Parking right next to the cottage was a massive plus and it was spotlessly clean. Perfect base for exploring Thaxted and the surrounding fields, with easy access to the village and windmill. We’d definitely come back!

We had a lovely time staying here! Sharon and Robert really made us feel at home, which was so nice. The place was spotlessly clean, cosy and super secure for our dog Archie, which we appreciated. The location was perfect for walks and exploring Thaxted and nearby villages was a real treat. We definitely left feeling refreshed and relaxed - it was just what we needed!

We had a wonderful holiday here, booked lots of kids clubs but was plenty more to do anyway. Kids loved the arcade and splash park. Staff were so helpful and friendly , food was delicious although a bit pricey. We have booked already to come back and probably wouldn’t go anywhere else now.

We had a couple of issues on arrival, the key for the caravan hadn’t been left for us, we had over an hours wait for our food on the first night but after that we had a lovely weekend. Would definitely go back.
