We had such a lovely stay at Goddard's Mead! Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel really welcome from the start. The building’s been beautifully renovated, respecting its history, which we really appreciated. The location’s perfect for exploring Essex’s charming villages and historic spots around Thaxted. Honestly, it’s a great spot if you want somewhere cosy and peaceful. We’d definitely recommend it for a relaxing getaway - we’ll be back for sure!

We had a really lovely stay! Sharon and Robert made us feel so welcome from the start, which was lovely. The place had everything we needed-spotlessly clean, comfy and secure for our dog Archie. The location was perfect, with loads of scenic walks nearby. We also enjoyed exploring Thaxted and the surrounding villages. We had a fantastic stay at this lovely cottage! It’s so well equipped, we barely needed to bring anything. The welcome pack was a great touch, with all the info and menus clearly thought out. The owners, Sharon and Rob, were quick to respond whenever we had questions. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and the hot tub was definitely a highlight. Thanks for the little extras for us and our pups - it made the break really special. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a fantastic stay! The cottage was spotlessly clean and super well equipped. Loved the easy access to lovely dog walks right outside. The host was really friendly and quick to respond, making everything smooth. Meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig, was a real highlight. Perfect getaway for us and the pups - we’ll be back for sure!

We had a really lovely stay at this cottage. It’s tucked away on a working farm but feels totally private, which was great. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely people. The place itself is surprisingly spacious and well-equipped, especially the kitchen and bathroom. The bed was super comfy and the garden, dog-proof and private, was perfect for relaxing. We enjoyed exploring the walks nearby and ate at some nice spots in Thaxted-The Star and The Maypole were our favourites. Honestly, we’d recommend it if you’re after a peaceful getaway!

The owners were genuinely friendly and went above and beyond when the storm knocked out the power. The cottage was spotless, warm and well-equipped. Our dog loved the secure garden and we really enjoyed the hot tub! Quite a stay!

We had such a lovely weekend here! The place really ticked all our boxes and we can't wait to return. Our dogs were totally spoiled, especially with the underfloor heating-Luna was wagging her tail so much she strained it, bless her! The garden was perfect for them to run around. We had such a lovely stay at Goddard's Mead! Rob and Sharon put a lot of effort into restoring this historic place and it really shows. They gave us the warmest welcome and Bonnie was adorable too. The location is perfect for exploring Essex-definitely take some time to stroll around Thaxted and nearby villages to soak up the history and charming architecture. Would highly recommend for a peaceful getaway!

We spent a week here in mid-July with our two mini dachshunds and honestly, the dogs loved it! They made some friends in the charming village of Thaxted, which was a lovely bonus. The cottage itself is really cosy and the hot tub was a real highlight-especially with the hot weather, the cool water was so refreshing. The hosts were genuinely friendly and welcoming and it was nice to see their dogs being taken out to the fields daily. Plus, watching the planes land near Stansted added a bit of excitement. We’d definitely recommend it!

We had such a great stay at this lovely spot! The setting is super peaceful and private, perfect for a relaxing break. The owners are really friendly and gave us just the right amount of help, without intruding. The hot tub was a highlight after a long day cycling - bliss! Only thing to mention is that it’s right under Stansted’s flight path, so there’s quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didn’t bother us much once we got used to it, but it’s worth knowing if you’re sensitive to noise. Overall, a fantastic place!

We had such a lovely stay at this charming cottage! The hosts were super friendly and really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The place itself is beautifully kept, with a cosy kitchen, a comfy bed and a powerful shower that hits the spot. Parking right outside was a massive plus and the area around is perfect for walks-especially across the fields to Thaxted with its picturesque half-timbered houses and windmill. Definitely recommend!

we have been coming to the island for years and this has been the best time we have had, The staff were amazing, the pool and life guards were great, the kids loved it when the life guard squirted them with the hose. To be able to walk to a beach on site and also have priory Bay in walking distance was a massive highlight for me, I've already been sending people links for Nodes point and will definitely be booking for next year. Hearing all their laughter and seeing my kids faces light up and be so happy and relaxed was the cherry on the cake for both my husband and I. we've done nothing but talk about it.. Thank you for the wonderful happy memories

We had a very enjoyable experience with the facilities and friendliness of staff. The only downside was in the availability of food in the restaurant. For a seaside resort to not have fish and chips available all week is not good. Also by wednesday the scampi had run out and there were no Pizzas available after the first night for the rest of the week. I had plenty of choice but my two muslim refugees can only eat Halal meat so without fish or pizzas there was very little choice on the menu for them. Surely in the 21st century there could be at least one Halal option. The table ordering did not work and with only 1 member of staff taking orders and getting drinks the queues were long and slow.

Best holiday ever, 1st time to the Isle of white and was not disappointed. The park is amazing with fantastic views and amazing staff. The lodge was spotless with everything you need. The food on site is great value for money and tastes great. We loved it that much we plan to book again for even longer.
