Visitor Reviews of The Lakes Rookley

Alan @ Hazel
We loved it,great club ,and meals. We already booked to go back August 2015
Emma, Gosport
Date of stay: 28th April 2025
We really appreciated the size and comfort of the place, everything was well-stocked for cooking in. The dishwasher and washing machine were a bonus! Only a small gripe was the lack of a clothes airer, but it didn’t ruin our stay at all.
Emma, Gb
Date of stay: 26th April 2025
We had a fantastic time, honestly couldn't fault it at all.
Emma, Lancashire
Date of stay: 25th April 2025
We had a really nice family break, despite all the restrictions in 2020. Looking forward to coming back next year when we can explore more of the site and amenities. Everything from the accommodation to the staff was top-notch!
Emma, Coulsdon
Date of stay: 22nd April 2025
Really loved it, definitely coming back again soon!
Mark, Romford Essex

Date of stay: 29th March 2025
Really enjoyed our stay, the cottage was charming and cosy indeed.
Emma, Gb
Date of stay: 18th March 2025
We really enjoyed our stay here! The cottages are spacious and well-equipped, making it easy to settle in and relax. They’re spotless when you arrive, which is a relief these days. The welcome packs are a nice touch, with all the essentials you might forget. The only minor issue was WiFi coverage-unfortunately, the hotspots didn’t reach our cottage, which was a bit frustrating. If they improved that, it’d be perfect! Still, we’d definitely come back.
Emma, Buckingham
Date of stay: 8th March 2025
Really enjoyed our stay, the caravan was modern and very clean overall.
Oliver, Bexhill On Sea
Date of stay: 8th February 2025
Really enjoyed the whole stay
Emma, Tonbridge
Date of stay: 20th January 2025
The place was frustratingly closed on certain days and whenever we went, it was packed with just a few tables free. Seems like they’re struggling with staff, which is a real shame. Still, we’ll try again soon!
Emma Carter, Rookley
Date of stay: 3rd January 2025
Clean, modern, great vibe
Emma, Birmingham
Date of stay: 1st January 2025

Jamie, Tadley
Date of stay: 17th December 2024
Really impressed with how spotless and well-organised everything was. We initially thought four of us would stay, but two turned out to be perfect. Honestly, it felt spacious enough, so no complaints there!
Emma, Sandown Isle Of Wight
Date of stay: 10th December 2024
We had such a lovely time with the family! The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after busy days. Already booked again, so excited!
Emma, Hertfordshire
Date of stay: 10th December 2024
Really enjoyed our experience, everything was spot on. Definitely a place we'd recommend and return to!
Emma, Dartford
Date of stay: 16th November 2024
Beautiful spot, worth visiting
Alex, Oxford
Date of stay: 13th November 2024
We loved the place! The decor was cosy and everything inside made us feel right at home. The only thing missing was a hoover or broom, especially since the downstairs wooden floors showed dirt easily. Still, overall a lovely stay!
Emma, Thundersley
Date of stay: 9th November 2024
Really disappointed there’s no proper lighting over the bathroom or dressing table mirror. It’s such a pain for applying makeup. If I’d known, I’d have brought my travel mirror. Would’ve made things so much easier, honestly. Needs improving!
James, Gtr Manchester
Date of stay: 2nd November 2024
We had a few things missing at first, but it wasn’t a problem for Di to sort them out quickly. Our tin opener broke and they replaced it in no time at all. Everyone on staff really goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and it’s clear they genuinely care. We didn’t want to leave the lakes - Rockley is honestly one of the best holiday spots on the Isle of Wight. Plus, the staff are very gay friendly, which made us feel right at home. Loved it!
Emma, Waterlooville
Date of stay: 17th October 2024
Had a fantastic time on the isl and with the family, definitely planning to return to the Isle of Wight soon!
Emma, Nottingham
Date of stay: 14th October 2024
We booked this trip on a whim and honestly, it turned out to be such a lovely surprise! The whole stay was enjoyable - from the cosy accommodation to the fun activities and tasty food. The entertainment in the evenings was a nice touch too. We’re already planning our next visit!
Sam
Date of stay: 9th October 2024
We had a lovely stay! The park’s facilities are really well maintained, perfect for both kids and grown-ups. The restaurant and bar are great if you fancy a little treat. Would definitely come back!
Harriet, West Midlands
Date of stay: 3rd October 2024
The place was super modern and spotless, really comfy too. Everything we needed was there for a relaxing, stress-free break. Love it!
Emma
Date of stay: 15th September 2024
Really enjoyed our stay, highly recommend this place! Thanks!
Emma Carter, Deal
Date of stay: 10th September 2024
Worth every penny, honestly.
Claire, Gb
Date of stay: 4th September 2024
We found the caravan to be quite clean overall, which was good. However, the kitchen stuff definitely needed a wash before we used it - bit of a letdown. The twin room window had fallen slightly, leaving a gap and the patio doors didn’t quite close properly, letting in a smell from the bathroom’s sewage. We mentioned all of this at checkout, no fuss.
Claire
We had a lovely stay at Rookley, we were made to feel very welcome & didn't want to leave. The welcome pack for our dog was so lovely too. Thank you.
Carol
We had a lovely holiday and would definitely visit again, highly recommend
Geoffrey
Although caravan is old & dated and bedrooms are rather small overall the van was perfect for what we needed and we had a nice stay. I would have like the option for Adults only later night swimming but all family we met where very nice. Only issues we found was if we went put all day we struggled to park by our van. I think Van numbers and parking bays would be a good idea. We where in van 141.
Nicola
Our Lakehouse was in a perfect location and contained everything you needed. Maintenance team were extremely helpful on Sunday we stopped 2 gentlemen in their cart to ask about our folding doors sticking, they followed us home and fixed the problem instantly. Fantastic service. The only downside we tried to use the on-site restaurant twice once for breakfast and once evening meal both times it was not open young lady behind bar was very vague about if or when it would actually be open so we didn’t bother again.
Kirsty
Great little place, a little shop on site would of made it better
