We stayed in a gorgeous caravan that was super well-equipped, making our stay really comfortable. The staff were genuinely friendly and always ready to help if we needed anything, which was great. Our caravan was tucked away in a peaceful spot with lovely views, away from the busy areas, so it was just what we wanted. The kids loved the swimming pool, which was perfect for them, even if we didn’t use much else since we went out every day. We’re already planning to come back!

We just got back from a really nice four-night stay at this cottage. The owners are super friendly and helpful without being intrusive, which we appreciated. The fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around freely. The place had everything we needed and we even enjoyed a BBQ one evening. The hot tub was fantastic! We’d definitely come back and already recommended it to friends. Thanks for a lovely break!

We stayed at this place recently and honestly, it’s a good place. The house is super well stocked and kept us cosy despite the rainy December weather. The bath was so relaxing and the shower was big enough for two! The location is perfect if your dogs aren’t fans of fireworks - totally peaceful out in the middle of nowhere. We’d definitely come back, thanks so much!

We had a lovely stay at this place, nestled in a quiet, private spot that’s just perfect for relaxing. The owners are genuinely friendly and always ready to help if needed, but they respect your privacy completely. The hot tub was a great bonus after a long day of cycling - really helped us unwind! Only thing to note is that the cottage sits right under Stansted’s flight path, so there’s quite a bit of aircraft noise. It didn’t bother us much after a while, but it’s worth considering if you’re sensitive to noise. All in all, a great little getaway!

We spent a week here in July with our two little dachshunds and honestly, it was lovely. The village of Thaxted is charming and the cottage itself is really cosy with a great hot tub - perfect after those scorching days, especially since the water was nicely cooled. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming; it was nice to see their horses being taken out each day. Being close to Stansted’s flight path was actually quite interesting, watching the planes land. All in all, we’d definitely recommend Hide for a relaxing break!

We stayed at this charming cottage and honestly, it had everything we could possibly need - no need to pack much! The welcome pack was really handy, packed with info about the place and local menus, which was a thoughtful touch. We had such a lovely stay! The owners are genuinely kind and thoughtful, making us feel very welcome. We had a fantastic time! Sharon and Robert really went out of their way to make us feel at home, which was lovely. The place had everything we needed - super clean, cosy and perfect for Archie. The location was spot on, with loads of nice walks nearby and Thaxted and the surrounding villages are such charming spots to explore. Honestly, we left feeling totally refreshed and relaxed - a really great break!

What a lovely stay! The owners were so welcoming and went above and beyond when the storm knocked out the power. The cottage was spotless, warm and well-equipped. Our dog loved the enclosed garden and we adored the hot tub!

We had a really lovely time staying here! Sharon and Robert couldn’t have been more friendly and made us feel right at home. The place was spotlessly clean, comfy and perfect for our dog Archie - he loved it! The location was fantastic with lots of nice walks and we enjoyed exploring Thaxted and nearby villages. Honestly, we left feeling totally refreshed and relaxed. Definitely a great find!

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy little cottage! Honestly, we didn’t need to bring anything because it’s so well equipped. We even overloaded the car thinking we’d need more, but it was all there. The welcome pack was full of useful info and menus, which was handy. The little touches for our dogs and us didn’t go unnoticed and the enclosed garden was perfect for the pups. The hot tub was just what we needed after long days. Thanks for a really nice break, Sharon and Robe!

We had a lovely stay at this cottage, tucked away on a working farm but surprisingly private. The hosts, Robert and Sharon, couldn’t be nicer and made us feel really welcome. The place itself is super spacious with all the kitchen gadgets you could need and a comfy bed that’s perfect for a good sleep. The garden is great-completely dog-proof and nicely furnished, ideal for relaxing outside. There’s plenty of walking nearby and Thaxted’s restaurants, like The Star and The Maypole, are worth checking out. We’d definitely recommend it!

This cottage is honestly a gem. The setting is so peaceful, perfect for unwinding. We loved the hot tub - absolute highlight! The place was spotless and had all the bits we needed. Plenty of walks nearby, made our break really special. Highly recommend!

We just got back from a really nice four-night stay at this cottage. The owners are super friendly and helpful but never overstep, which we appreciated. The big fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around freely. The place had everything we needed, including a fully stocked kitchen and a lovely hot tub. We even enjoyed a BBQ one evening. We’d definitely come back and have already told friends about it. Thanks for a great break!

Great site and facilities. Friendly staff and good location. Sadly the outdoor pool was shut for a few days. Value for money in context is based on the unreasonable hike (double in this case) that all holiday companies seem to levy on parents at school holidays.
