Suffolk has long been considered one of England's hidden gems with its beautiful Heritage coastline and rolling landscape that was the inspiration for many of Constable's paintings. Suffolk Sands, close to the lively resort of Felixstowe with its many shops and restaurants, has sea views and direct access to some lovely beaches.

The park shares an excellent range of facilities with Felixstowe Beach, just 1 ½ miles away. There is a superb indoor swimming pool with mini slide and paddling pool, a children's adventure playground and children's club - and a fully refurbished club where you can enjoy family entertainment and shows.

Suffolk Sands Gold Plus is a quality 12 ft caravan that sleeps up to eight people. It has a double and two twin bedrooms, plus room for two people in the lounge area. It's spacious and comfortably equipped with a TV, kitchen with microwave and shower.

There are plenty of places to eat and drink in the surrounding towns. Il Punto in Ipswich is a floating French brasserie; it's moored in the marina and makes good use of the abundance of excellent local produce available. The castles at Orford and Framlington are both impressive places to visit - and there are many pretty English villages like Long Melford and Lavenham, with beautifully preserved medieval timber-framed houses.

Our Top Tip
"Suffolk Owl Sanctuary is well worth a visit, just 18 miles from the park.  You will see over 60 owls and birds of prey and there is beautiful woodland to explore."

The van was comfortable and clean. I would have given the F & F a 9 with the addition of a teapot and cafetiere.

Our lights tripped out one night, no staff on duty and emergency number went to answerphone. Had to disturb a resident neighbour for assistance. Would have been useful to have the emergency number in the van, and for any one else's info - the electricity box is in the wardrobe in the double room.

Great base for beach holiday and visiting Suffolk.
Overall good experience, shame you have to pay for internet. Should include free WiFi. Also have to go to the other location daily to use the facilities
Great stay caravan was lovely TV was not working when we arrived at 9 pm but maintenance fixed it 2 mins from lovely beach and promenade walk Only 2 negatives The on site shop could have bit more in and because we arrived late we had to go back to sister site in the club house to pick up keys this I hated doing But would go back
