From the moment we arrived, Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel truly welcome. They've done an amazing job transforming this historic building with such care. The place offers a perfect retreat, with everything you need for a chill stay. The location is spot on-easy to explore Essexs lovely villages and towns like Thaxted, which is packed with history and charm. Wed definitely recommend it for a relaxing getaway. Definitely a good place!

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy place, tucked away in a really peaceful spot. The owners were super friendly and always happy to help if needed, but it still felt private and quiet. The hot tub was a real treat after a long day of cycling, definitely a highlight! Just a heads up, its right under Stansted's flight path, so theres quite a bit of noise from the planes. Took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but it didnt ruin our break at all. Would definitely recommend it!

We absolutely loved our stay! The rural setting was so peaceful and the courtyard was charming. The hot tub made it feel really special. Perfect spot for countryside walks too!

We had a fantastic stay at this cosy cottage! The place was spotless and well stocked, making everything feel really homely. Loved the easy access to dog walks right outside and meeting the farm animals, especially Penelope the pig-shes so curious! The host was super friendly and quick to respond. Definitely a great getaway for us and the pups. Well be back for sure!

Weve stayed in some budget places before, but honestly, this one beats them all. The hot tubs fired by wood were fantastic and having peacocks wandering around while relaxing with a drink was such a quirky touch. The kitchenette only had a microwave, so cooking when the weather was bad wouldve been a hassle, but luckily, the weather was nice enough for us to use the BBQ. The hosts really looked after us and made everything feel special. Wed definitely recommend Apple Mount to anyone looking for a cosy getaway!

We really enjoyed our stay in the pod! Its super cosy, warm and just the right size for two. The little touches like tea, coffee, biscuits and hot chocolate made it extra special. The hot tub was definitely a highlight - so relaxing. All in all, wed happily recommend it for a nice escape. Definitely coming back!

We loved this cosy little cottage! Its perfectly tucked away, so peaceful but still close enough to shops and local spots. The hot tub was a real highlight and the underfloor heating in the bathroom was a nice touch. Rob, Sharon and Bonnie made us feel really welcome. Cant wait to return!

This place is perfect if you want some calm and quiet. The property is really well equipped and the hot tub was a lovely bonus. The hosts are friendly and its just a peaceful spot to unwind. Highly recommend!

We had such a lovely stay at the cottage! The location was perfect-serene and peaceful, exactly what we needed. The farm surroundings were stunning and we even got to see some horses. The owners were really friendly and made us feel right at home. Definitely a place to revisit for a quiet escape!

We stayed at this charming cottage on a working farm and it was surprisingly private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are genuinely lovely and welcoming. The place is really spacious and the kitchen and bathroom are well-equipped - made cooking and getting ready feel easy. The bed was super comfy and the garden, dog-proof and secluded, had nice furniture for relaxing outside. There are plenty of walks nearby and Thaxted's restaurants, like The Star and The Maypole, are worth a visit. Wed definitely recommend it!

We just got back from a lovely week at Goddards Mead. The cottage had everything we needed and was super comfortable. The hosts were really friendly and hospitable. Even being on a working farm, it felt peaceful and relaxing, a proper little retreat!

We just got back from a really nice four-night stay at this cottage. The owners were super friendly and helpful without being intrusive, which we appreciated. The big fenced garden was perfect for our dog to run around freely. The place had everything we needed and we even used the BBQ one evening. The hot tub was absolutely brilliant! Wed definitely come back and already told our friends about it. Thanks for a lovely getaway!

We stayed at this lovely little place recently and honestly, the owners are such a breath of fresh air-so kind and thoughtful. The cottage itself is adorable, with that charming half-timbered look and a decent shower for once! The cosy kitchen and comfy bed made it feel like home. Plus, parking right outside was a massive bonus. Its super clean, well-heated and perfect for exploring walks across the fields to Thaxted. Would definitely come back!
