We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage, nestled on a working farm but surprisingly private. The owners, Robert and Sharon, are just wonderful, making us feel really welcome. The place is super spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfy bed - we slept like logs! The garden is perfect for dogs, completely secluded and furnished nicely. Plenty of walks around and Thaxted’s restaurants like The Star and The Maypole really stood out. Honestly, we’d definitely recommend it!

We had a fantastic week staying here from 15 to 22 July with our two tiny dachshunds, who loved every minute and made friends in the charming village of Thaxted. The cottage itself is really lovely, especially the hot tub-perfect for those scorching days when the water was cooled down, making it super refreshing. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming; it was nice to see their dogs taken for walks in the fields each day. Being close to Stansted’s flight path was quite fun to watch the planes land. We’d definitely recommend it!

The hosts were super friendly and welcoming, it was nice to see them taking their dogs out to the fields every day. Being close to Stansted’s flight path was actually quite entertaining, watching the planes land. Would definitely recommend this place, we really enjoyed our stay!

We had a lovely stay in this caravan. It’s really well kitted out and felt super cosy, especially with the warm atmosphere. The welcome pack was a sweet touch and the treats for the dog made us feel really cared for. The space was generous, though there wasn’t much storage, so we just kept things in the car. The shower was excellent and we loved relaxing on the verandah, especially with the dog safely fenced in. Only downside was the neighbouring van being a bit close and their noisy toddler, but overall, we’d definitely come back!
