We had a lovely weekend here, everything was just perfect for our quiet anniversary getaway. Highly recommend!

We recently spent a week here from 15 to 22 July with our two tiny dachshund girls and they had a blast making friends in the charming village of Thaxted. The cottage itself is really lovely, especially the hot tub - perfect for the scorching weather, as the water was nicely cooled and super refreshing. The hosts were genuinely warm and welcoming and it was lovely to see their dogs being taken out to the fields daily. Being on the flight path near Stansted was actually quite fun - we enjoyed watching the planes come in! Would definitely recommend Hide for a relaxing getaway.

We stayed at this place recently and honestly, it’s a little gem. The house is super well equipped and kept us cosy despite the miserable December weather. The bath was fantastic and the shower is nice and spacious. The location is perfect if you’ve got dogs that hate fireworks - it’s so quiet out here. The property’s beautifully converted too. We booked a dog walking getaway and honestly, it was just what we needed. The place was lovely, with good quality accommodation. Pubs and eateries nearby, plus endless fields for walks. Our dog didn’t want to leave!

We stayed at Goddard's Mead recently and must say, Rob & Sharon have really put a lot of effort into converting this historic building nicely. From the moment we arrived, their warm welcome made us feel right at home and Bonnie was lovely too. The place has everything you need for a relaxing time. The location is perfect - we enjoyed wandering around Thaxted and nearby villages to soak up the history and beautiful buildings. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay! The caravan was spotless and plenty spacious enough for us to shower and rest after busy days exploring nearby places. We didn’t bother with the onsite facilities, as we were just too busy enjoying ourselves. Very pleased with the trip!

The hot tub was a real highlight after a long day cycling around. One thing to note is that the cottage sits right under Stansted’s flight path, so there’s quite a bit of plane noise. It took us a couple of hours to get used to it, but honestly, it didn’t ruin our trip. Would definitely recommend!

It’s super cosy inside, with a comfy bed and a kitchen that’s perfect for relaxing. Parking right next to the cottage was a real bonus and the place was spotless. We enjoyed lovely walks to Thaxted and exploring the nearby village with its pretty houses and windmill - definitely recommend!

Clean site, didn't use many of the facilities so based my rating upon the choice of facilities that were available. Another bin area would be useful as it was a fair trek to the bins, other than that it was a clean, quiet site, well maintained and would be happy to visit again.

Well worth the money we paid,only 1 thing wrong was we got charged £10 for use off the pool, Even though our paperwork said it was completely... Must add not enough pillows for each bed.

Me and my children (young baby and toddler) absolutely loved it! Great value for money the site facilities and staff were so friendly and helpful and the caravan was lovely and clean and looked brand new! Definitely recommend and will be coming back
