Was lovely, could have moved in permanently. Just wish it came with a sofa bed.

It was a home from home. would recommend for couples and older children. The hot tub really made it and amazing views of the lake.

Excellent lodge all round! Very clean and with modern fittings. Everything we needed and at a great price. We loved the very comfortable bed, which had plenty of pillows and also enjoyed the homemade goodies from the local bakery, which were left for us to enjoy!

Great holiday would recommend

A spacious and comfortable lodge to stay in which was really well equipped. Slightly jealous that it didn’t have a hot tub like some of the other lodges but it was a great base for a break away.

We had a great time fishing and first time clay shooting great outlook.

Beds very comfy. Need more crockery though: 5 of everything isn't enough for a family of 4! Good to have hand wash provided which it isn't it all holiday accommodation. And the towels were lovely and fluffy!

Good overhaul holiday winter break! Shooting could be noisy at times... When finished for the day, was wonderfully quiet and tranquil..

Few bits missing in kitchen and shower could have been warmer but everything else was very good.
We were surprised and a bit disappointed at first that the lounge area was small. We thought the lodges were all the same.

Overall very nice and already booked to revisit in Feb.

Will definitely be returning for the 3rd time. Lodge fantastic, hot tub so relaxing and the place is so peaceful, great place to unwind.

We totally enjoyed our stay at high lodge it was peaceful and relaxing . We are planning to go again. Hopefully soon

We were a party of 6 ladies celebrating a 60th Birthday. The setting of our Lodge was wonderful, peaceful and with lots of wildlife including some cheeky hares, ducks and other birds. We didn’t use any of the facilities. The restaurant had limited opening times which didn’t suit us. Something tripped our power and we had to call out of hours and they were exceptionally helpful. Great communications and someone came to check too. Lovely hot tub which seemed to work better after the electrical issue! Comfortable beds, good outdoor table and seating and the kitchen was equipped sufficiently to cook basic meals. The dishwasher was a little unpredictable. The check in was very limited - open from 4.00pm to 5.00pm which when travelling a distance we felt was a little unreasonable. Email details were sent on how to access as we were still travelling at 5.00pm. It did feel a little remote and you need a car to get anywhere really. However if you want a break where you stay on site, participate in High Lodge activities such as the target sports and fishing then it would suit you well. Overall we enjoyed our weekend break and would recommend.

Lovely peaceful setting, apart from clay shooting, but I expected that.. cafe was clean and pleasant with lovely staff, both there and on reception. I did have a broken window latch, which I reported, but nothing done about it. Cabin could be easily accessed while I was away. A bit of concern for me. I am what you’d call a person with walking difficulties, but I am able to climb a few steps and walk short distances over gravel paths. I’m not sure if you cater for wheelchair/mobility scooter users but the gravel could be very difficult. Perhaps a couple of hard surface disability parking spaces outside reception would be useful, therefore enabling easy access to the cafe etc.. do you even have any cabins accessible for wheelchairs? It would be good if you have , because the cabins are roomy enough inside. A wet room shower room would probably be needed. I loved the way the cabins all overlooked the lake, without looking into each other’s accommodation.

Perfect place for relaxation and peace with everything we needed in a superb lodge.

the lodge was superb and spotless.staff were very very friendly.only thing lacking was air con but we had taken our own fan.will not rate the restaurant as we did not use .

Friendly welcome beautiful surroundings lodges are very well equipped the with lovely furniture and comfy beds. Nicely situated around the lake with privacy for all.

My husband had an accident whilst on holiday and the staff went above and beyond the call of duty in their help and support. We were unable to use the facilities but the location was stunning.
